Great place to meet over coffee for business or catching up with a friend. Decent menu variety and the coffee selection is always good.

Great food. My salads and sandwiches have always had good quality ingredients and for a decent price! You can go there and easily hang out for hours. They have wi-fi which I need. The service is good and they keep their store clean. Parking is not a problem either which is nice since I have to drive there from Grandin Village where I live.

Mmmmmm! I think this location is relatively new — as I had never been to it before — I like the location on Starkley Rd near the Buffalo Wild Wings and Ben Gui Sushi with tons of parking and a drive-through window. Met two of my girlfriends here last weekend for a birthday dinner date. I had the sweet Snow Monkey Plum Tea of the day and it was AMAZING. Like I had a refill and then I went and ordered some so I can try to make it at home. I ordered a vegetarian wrap, my friend the chicken pesto panini, and my other friend the Avocado BLT. We all enjoyed our meals and all had the sweet tea mentioned above. YUM. Plenty of seating, interesting décor, some goodies for sale. You can buy coffee and tea and they have a large food menu with sandwiches, salads, snacks, sweets and tons of coffee. They have art on sale hanging on the walls and old coffee sacks as the chair upholstery.

My boyfriend and I tried to stop at Mill Mountain today on our road trip, and we were unable to find you as your address on the website is out of date. You should update it! Sorry we missed you.

This location — Starkey road — is the best! The live music on some evenings is just wonderful. They really impressed me when I asked for a flavored steamed milk for my toddler. They added just enough syrup and took the temperature of the drink to doublecheck it before serving it to us, and that made a great impression on me! Willing to accommodate moms and toddlers! They also have several high chairs there. Perfect! Well done!

I love this place for a quick breakfast and a great cup of coffee. My typical order includes a sausage, egg and cheese everything bagel with tomatoes and grilled onions added in. I never forget a Mill Mountain blend coffee! The team there is nice and recognizes us when we come in. Mill Mountain Coffee also serves as a great place for a casual business meeting.

I love this place. I wish we had one of these in my hometown. Extensive sandwich and salad menu. A ton of flavored syrups and sugar free. Good coffee, pleasant décor.

I miss Mill Mountain! The coffee and food are great. Thursdays-Saturdays come in before 2pm and get the French Toast! It is literally melt-in-your-mouth delicious. They have delicious sandwiches, my favorite is the Kolassi. They make Homemade pesto, salsa, hummus, garlic mayo, chipotle ranch, 3 different chicken salads and tuna salad, all of which are amazing. They have lots of sandwiches and salads to choose from, and they are always happy to make it your way. The soups of the day are always delicious. The staff is friendly and loves to help you :) I worked here and enjoyed every bit of it. Definitely my absolute favorite job that I’ve had! They have delicious coffees and teas that change every day. You can order them from their website too. The drive-thru is convenient, but if you order food to go, it makes it easier on you and them to call it in ahead. This has been a hot-spot in Roanoke for quite a while and was a favorite of mine even before I started working there. I definite go-to for your coffee craving or if you’re visiting town.

I stopped in on a Friday evening to enjoy some tea and get some work done. While I was disappointed that they had very few vegan options, I was impressed at their selection of different yerba mate options. I got a big mug of tea and parked myself in the back of the large, yet cozy-feeling café and got some work done. I would definitely go back in the future.

Local coffee haunt, a bit pricy, but the Wi-Fi is free and they roast their coffee locally, so it has a fresh taste.

No Starbucks in downtown Roanoke which is a good thing so that I could come to this cute spot with a plethora of coffee and food items. So many choices that I had trouble deciding, but got the pistachio muffin per another Unilocaler’s recommendation and a Snickers coffee. The menu ranges from flavored lattes to teas to egg dishes to sandwiches, wish I had a longer stay to have breakfast here every morning!

Who ever would have thought there would be all of these awesome places in Roanoke, VA? My friend recommended this place, they had a pretty ok tea selection and made food pretty quickly. I liked it and would recommend going back. I liked the set up too, it felt like it was trying to be a chain or almost a chain and kind of was. There is a drive through at this location too.

Great customer service and good drinks. Food is good for a coffee shop but nothing to write home about. The caramel apple cider is recommended if you have a sweet tooth. You will have to re-log into the wi-fi every 30 minutes or so.

As a former employee and an avid coffee drinker, this place is the best in town! I order from them now that I live in Louisiana, and it is still fantastic! Have a blend and enjoy the Blue Ridge, I miss it daily!

Spent a few mornings here when we visited Roanoke and really loved the vibe. Clearly a town artist hangout, with brightly colored walls, free wireless, chairs festooned with vinyl-covered coffee bags, and plenty of light. Breakfast sandwiches were tasty. Coffee was good, though the flavored stuff was a little more sweet and artificial-tasting than I am used to — the mocha tastes suspiciously like coffee with chocolate syrup. All in all, though, a wonderful place and if I lived in this town, I’d spend half my life there.

I like the downtown location the best. The service and staff are wonderful. I don’t know about the food choices but the coffee, cocoa, tea are all terrific! The shop can get crowded late at night and when conventions are in town. They need more seating.

Ah-so many memories. This was the spot to go after a long day of high school academia. Close to home and convenient I have spent many long afternoons catching up with friends here. The menu is wonderful-excellent breakfasts(pistachio muffin is wonderful) and all day sandwich selections(love the California grilled cheese). The coffees are great too. Not to mention their espresso chillers(think ice cream smoothie) the perfect summer time treat. While I prefer the downtown location, the atmosphere at this location still feels like any coffee shop should. When I come back and visit Roanoke, I will surely be found on at least one occasion sitting in the window of the quaint Mill Mtn. Coffee and Tea.

I used to work here before I moved to Los Angeles! They make really good sandwiches and baked goods! Their coffee selection is amazing. One of my favorite drinks was a vanilla breve, which I have to explain and sometimes even argue with the coffee shops here to make for me! It’s like the one thing you can get in Roanoke that you can’t get in LA without a hassle! Geez.

Unlike their downtown location, the Starkey Road restaurant offers a nice array of breakfast and lunch selections. Their breakfast sandwich can be customized to your liking. The cinnamon rolls are absolutely delicious, make sure they heat it for you. Mill Mountain also sells several varieties of bulk coffees, either whole bean or they will grind it for you. Their proprietary Mill Mountain blend is my favorite — we gave several bags of beans to out-of-town family for Christmas and got rave reviews. This is a great place to stop and unwind in southwest Roanoke County!
