Great service, excellent green salsa, egg white omelette upon request… an enjoyable Mexican breakfast regardless of location and even better when you consider north DFW options.

The food was great! The service was spectacular! James, our host, was very attentive throughout our entire meal. I haven’t had such great service in years.

Came in around 5 pm on a weeknight and we were seated immediately. No issues with the wait staff — quick, friendly and efficient. The hubby had enchiladas which he said were very good. I ordered the carne asada and received possibly the tiniest piece of steak I have ever seen. I know this is usually a piece of flank steak sliced thin, but I could hold it up and see through it. It was delicious — just not very filling. Everything we ordered tasted great. We will be back!

This is our go to mexican place. We always get great service, our drinks arealways full and the food never disappoints. We have tried other places but always come back to the best.

Yum Yum Yum! Finally some great Tex-Mex! Service is always wonderful — They get extremely busy so you might have to wait a little bit but no matter how busy the servers are always very kind. The beef fajitas are a MUST try! They literally fall apart! No tough parts or gnawing required. Excellent flavor! Their drinks are great — I LOVE their blueberry margarita. It’s a flavor you don’t find everywhere and it’s good! Kids are welcome — That’s probably the most important part for us. They can be noisy and it just blends in with the environment. Good selection on the kids menu for all of our picky eaters.

An overall average experience. I was hoping for a bit more of a tex mex meal, but it all felt very average for a «mex» places in the metroplex. Dos equis on draft. A decent menu selection. Lunch specials only Monday through Friday. The brisket tacos I ordered were definitely not brisket tacos – they were plain and simple ground beef tacos. They were fine, but not what I ordered. My co-pilot ordered the mushroom and onion burrito. It was tasty, but nothing special. Our server was attentive and pleasant. Chips & salsa with the mea came with red and green sauce. When I’m back in town, I will give another tex-mex place a try.

Me and my husband love this place. We frequent here nearly every weekend. The Mexican food is as close to TexMex as you can get in DFW and I love the margaritas!

There isn’t a whole lot to like about this place. I don’t quite understand all the highly rated reviews here. The food is mediocre and often tastes like combined grocery store ingredients. The salsa they bring you when are seated is a blend of Pace Picante sauce and something they add into it in-house. The queso is a rotel and velveeta blend which is lackluster as well. Our table was dirty when we were seated and to top it all off the service was slow, too. I had Carnitas and the girlfriend got a Quesadilla — Both were average at best. The meat in my carnitas was dry and very tough. It seemed like it was kept under heat lamps for a while. I will say that their drink specIals are very well priced and if I return it will be to grab a drink if I am in the area. We had high hopes for this place but it just doesn’t really seem to fit any of our needs other than proximity and drink specials.

Our first visit to Los Molcajetes, in 2014 was not a very good experience, now in 2016 it was wonderful. Both my wife and I had the Huevos Rancheros which were some of the best we have had in the last ten years. The chips were fresh and so lite; the salsa was also fresh with an outstanding taste. Service was some of the better you get today. Glad we went back.

I always have a good experience every time I come here. I order a different dish every time I visit and the quality and taste never disappoint. Not to forget the bartender is very attentive and friendly. Serving is massive which is good for two people(or for one very hungry human)

Still my favorite Tex Mex place, anywhere. I had the most amazing beef fajitas with fresh made flour tortillas and combined with a frozen margarita I thought I was in food heaven. This was even though the weather was cold and rainy. I love it that you can get both an amazing dinner and a movie all in Roanoke on the same night. It was never this good up here in NW Tarrant County. I’ll be back here to eat some good Tex Mex every time I’m in town.

I stopped by for Mexican food while in the Roanoke area. Food was great, staff was friendly and attentive, food portions were also HUGE! I plan to come back when I’m around this area!

This is one of my favorite Mexican food places here in the DFW. The food always comes out hot, delicious, and for the price, it’s worth it. Service is great and fairly quick. I’m so glad we found this little gem.

Had the Mole it was pretty good. There was a couple that was sitting at a table across the aisle that requested the light over our table be turned off because it was shining in their eyes so it made it pretty dark for us. We sat in an area kind of between the outdoor and indoor so it was pretty hot in there. The staff was generally pretty friendly and the food was tasty so definitely go back and try something else

Nothing fancy– but generally pretty good. It’s always a hit and miss on if the food is hot or not! Also it would be nice if they wrote the orders down so you could get your meal correctly! That annoys me very much! When the food does get to the table — Half is hot and fresh and the other half is cold. Someone needs some help in the kitchen!

3 stars is what I can do. I wish and I wanted more for this place. I ordered the quail Mexican style. Quail was great, the beans and rice had no flavor. It was disappointing. Quail great. The beer was cold and the service was good. I wanted more from the salsa, flavor ok, no heat. I was excited when I came in, I’m ok leaving

Enjoyed a nice business lunch here yesterday. Lunch portions are quite generous and very reasonably priced. Complementary chips and salsa preceded the meal. The red salsa was very nicely flavored, and I especially enjoyed the salsa verde, which was quite flavorful and a nice heat. I enjoyed tacos al carbon served with a large portion of deliciously fresh guacamole, rice, and tasty refried beans. The beef was very nicely seasoned and quite tender. My colleague enjoyed the chicken enchiladas verde and was quite pleased with her selection. Service was very attentive; my tea glass never got more than ¼ full. I’d definitely like to return for dinner sometime soon.

Came in on a very busy Friday night with a group on 8. One of my friends made reservations, so we didn’t have to wait. The food was very average. I got the combo fajitas… Huge portion! I asked for double beans and didn’t get them. Not a big deal. The thing that bothered me was the extra charge for sour cream and cheese. Maybe this command… But I have never noticed it at other Mexican restaurants. Service was ok. Not great but not necessarily bad. I probably won’t be back.

Most of the time the food is good. I like to try different things to see if the quality is consistent. And depending on the cook, sometimes you get food that is a bit more done than you’d like but it is still good. The portions are good for the money. One meal totally filled up two of us who shared and it helps to pre-fill with the delicious chips and salsa. The green salsa is my favorite but everyone else I go with loves the red. The servers rotate in and out bit if you happen to be lucky and get one of the seasoned wait-staff then you are on for a treat. They are more comfortable with menu and answering any questions you have. They also seem to before friendly. And today I learned that the other to resturant coupons that come in the money mailer are also owned by the same company so Los Molcajetes will take those coupons too! PLUS.
