Probably the worst shrimp I’ve ever eaten! Mesquite wood grilled shrimp on skewers with absolutely no flavor except LOADS of pepper. Pepper was the prevalent flavor in the fat free vinaigrette too which was odd. Thank goodness for the bland rice pilaf to balance the pepper. Broccoli tasted fresh as did the salad. Won’t go back for a LONG time.

Our waiter was great but the place is dark. The table wasn’t wiped and neither was the bench seats. The lady’s bathroom was almost out of toilet paper and the staff didn’t seam to care. The steak were ordered med rare and came out well done. The fried pickles and salad was good.

Here I am again at my favorite lunch spot for my favorite kickin chicken salad and ice cold beer. I also ordered the hand breaded mushrooms which are fabulous.

First, the service and atmosphere was great. My wife and I order prime rib. She had the 12oz cut medium and I had the 16 oz cut medium. My prime rib came out juicy and easy to cut. Just perfect. My wife’s serving came dry and could not cut the steak. It had a yellowish tint to it and looked old. We asked the server to return this. Several minutes later manager served a juicy and easy to cut prime rib. No reason or apology was given. I will not return to this location.

Food was great, our server was ok. Kinda rude since my friend and i went in with phone coupons. While we were eating another server was sweeping at the tables around us. Also, the baby high chairs are disgusting good thing i brought my high chair cover.

I had never been to Logan’s before. My colleagues had mentioned that it was a decent place so we went to check it out. Me arrived around 7:15pm on a Monday. It wasn’t packed but there was a decent crowd. You are given a pail full of shelled peanuts that everyone opens and throws the shells on the ground.(I think Ground Round did this years ago) The rolls that they bring were great. Someone said they were made from scratch but who knows these days. I had the steak and lobster. It was pretty good. It came with a salad and I got a sweet potato. The sweet potato was huge. By the time we left the place was almost empty. The staff was sweeping the peanut shells up off the ground. Not fun for them but nice night out for us.

We drove from Lexington to get some steak… we should have stopped in at other steak joints around that place, but some how we ended up here. We got seated after few minutes… the waiter came by and took our order drinks and I placed the appetizer order. I went with The Nashville Trip — wings, cheese sticks and potato skins. After we got our appetizer, the waiter took our order. I went with 20oz Bone-in Ribeye, my nephews went with Porterhouse T-Bone and 16 oz Ribeye — we all ordered it medium rare. We got our food and my steak when I was trying to cut it was like cutting a rubber… it was tough and difficult to cut… instead of being medium rare, it looked like it was rare — this was fine. What I didn’t like was that the meat itself was substandard. Even if the meat was cooked at rare, I shouldn’t have to battle to cut the meat… this just make all of our steak difficult to eat… while I understand ribeye has lot of fat, the meats that we were served had a lot of fat, mussels tissues all over the meat… I should have sent it back, but we were hungry and we needed to get something in our system. This restaurant also only had Miller, Bud and Bud Light on tap(is this the standard selection at all Logan’s?) The waiter came by when he could… had to stop him from time to time to get some additional items… some of our food never game out, we had to ask the food runner about it and she went back and grabbed the items and brought it out. I don’t think I’ll be returning to any Logan’s in the near future… this first experience just turned me off to Logan’s… Outback steaks are better then Logan’s and that’s not saying much!

Wife and I were in Roanoke today we picked a place to go out to eat Logan’s roadhouse. We figured on a Friday night that we may have to wait to get seated. There was no waiting we were seated immediately after coming in. As we were being a lead back to our table I noticed that some of the waitresses and waiters had no problems walking directly in front of you. I went to the restaurant to use that and wash my hands. It smelt like one of those jobs Porta Johns. I ordered the small primary rib asked for it to be medium. It came out red not pink as a medium rare but red like raw in the middle. It had been cooked like it was a steak in a oven. The waitresses was real nice she asked me to check it when I came out to make sure it was cooked properly. After I cut into it saying that it was wrong I sent it back to ass that it caused a little bit more. She’s told me they would bring me a Nother one that was medium. One of the managers came out to explain to me what their medium is and how they cook there’s. So I said OK and they brought me out another prime rib cooked medium well done. And it was well done. The manager brought it out this time and asked me to cut into it to make sure it was OK I did and it took everything that I could do to keep from shaking the table around while trying to cut the toughest piece of meat that I had ever seen. Amy asked me was that Okay I said sure why not. They must be getting the cheapest grade of meat that they can find to cook. As most of you know on a primary rib there is a Outer section of meat that is very tender. This was the only part of this cut of meat that was edible. I am glad that this restaurant is not in my neighborhood. I would be furious if I had something like this near me that we visited routinely and had that type of service. I give them two stars and that was being generous.

Great food and great service. I always get the Chicken Tender Dinner with Fries and Cinnamon Apples. Logan’s has the best cinnamon apples. The waiters are always attentive. Sometimes if it’s crowded you might have to wait for a table to open up. Overall great atmosphere and even better food. Definitely recommend.

This place was very cool. Love it when you can eat peanuts and throw the shells on the floor. My daughter had the fillet. Awesome. I had a grilled chicken with peppercorn sauce. Might be the best chicken I’ve had at a restaurant. Waitress was very nice and attentive. She forgot to bring one of my sides. But, I let it go as I was stuffed and satisfied. Great place for the family. We ate at three other restaurants in roanoke and this was the best.

Visited on a Saturday for lunch. We were greatest and seated immediately. It took a few minutes for our waiter Dakota to get to our table but he was nice. I ordered one of the specials, the hickory plank salmon with bourbon moonshine glaze. I ordered it with a loaded sweet potato and buttered corn. My son ordered the macaroni and cheese and cinnamon apples. The bread was delicious as always. Very hot and fresh! My son loves that they have peanuts on the table and that he can throw all the shells on the floor. Our food arrived a short time later. The salmon was excellent and cooked to perfection. The bourbon glaze came on the side but it was delicious! The and the loaded sweet potato was great as well. I expected the corn to be corn on the cob however it was still good. My sons macaroni and cheese was good and he liked it. The cinnamon apples he didn’t particularly care for however I thought they were great. They reminded me of the filling of an apple pie. I had a coupon for a free dessert so I ordered the Mississippi brownie which is a huge brownie with nuts, marshmallows, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and hot fudge and caramel. It was massive. It was ok. Something tasted funny about the brownie. It tasted like maybe the brownie had been in the oven with one of the hickory planks or something because it had an odd taste. The ice cream and hot fudge and caramel covered the odd taste at times but I could not eat it all. Everything except for the brownie was excellent. Will definitely be back.

First problem is when you can smell your servers body odor as they approach, that is not good for your appetite. The appetizers AND the salads never came. Than, after a long wait in an empty place, the four dinners arrive at different times. Oh yeah, when we spilled a drink they gave us some towels so we could clean it up. Really? Really???

I have been to many roadhouse type steakhouses and this has not been a disappointment. The food and service here was good. Prices were pretty good, definitely will head back if I want some chain restaurant food.

Great night! They had the raw horseradish my husband loves. We forgot that they only serve prime rib Friday-Sunday, but he still had it with the bone in ribeye! Thanks for listening to your customers!!! We will be back!

I love the casual ambient environment, especially the waiter would give you a bucket of fresh peanuts, and let you throw the empty nuts on the floor freely, no kidding. The steak is great, buffalo wings are good. Highly recommended.

I love Logan’s Roadhouse! I grew up in Roanoke, VA so I grew up eating steaks from here and they’re always on point. I’m pretty sad that they don’t have a Logan’s in Honolulu but it makes it even more special for me when I come here to eat when I visit my hometown. The service is great. I’ve never had a problem with bad or super slow service here. Sometimes they can get a little backed up because there’s so many people but what do you expect from a small town where there’s limited food choices? The weekends get pretty busy here but the wait time is never ridiculously long. The food is worth the wait. The food: The rolls are amazing. I moved to Chicago in my 20’s and was totally bummed that their closest Logan’s roadhouse was 4 hours away so I used to search for restaurants that would have comparable rolls to Logan’s…(which I eventually found @ Texas Roadhouse) I usually ordered the Onion Brewski Sirloin. The garlic butter that they top it off with along with the beer-braised onions are the bomb! I’ve also gotten the tuna from here too which is really good(I don’t know if they still have it though)… and so is the BBQ chicken, baby back ribs, and the lobster tail. As for the sides, everything from the rice pilaf, mac & cheese, to the loaded baked potato to the mashed potatoes are delicious!

Consistently one of my favorite seasoning selections for a burger. I love the buttered yeast rolls and peanuts on the table. However fries are very skinny and nothing special. Over the years things have downsized(less rolls/fries, no peanuts while waiting) but I always leave satisfied.

Our lunchtime dining experience today was something that just staggered in distress from the point that our order was taken. As Logan’s is a chain, we have been to other locations(ourselves and with friends) on several occasions. Today’s visit started off different in that we are more used to the bustling dinner rush timeframe and lunch, at this location, was very tame. We were seated immediately and our server was pretty quick to get our drink order and our drinks to us. Her knowledge of the menu items seemed ingrained, but certain item details appeared to escape her. After we ordered, things began the tumble. During much busier mealtimes, at the other locations, food times and quality has been pretty good. Here, however, we saw few groups come in and expected that this could be better for us. Not the case. As one of the ordered items was a salad, the server brought a small bowl of dressing to the table. Without a word, it was left with something(very obviously) floating on the surface. Then, we started the wait for our food. We were astonished that our order, a grilled chicken sandwich and a salad, took every bit of 30 minutes to emerge from the kitchen. We were happy that a runner had found it sitting in the kitchen window, as our server appeared inundated with her very few tables and, otherwise unimpeded, socializing at the podium. We were able to flag down another server for a different dressing(minus floating debris) and begin eating. The salad, by all accounts, is something that few can screw up, and this one was held the standard. The chicken sandwich, on the other hand, left almost everything to be desired. We can only assume that the length of time our food sat in the kitchen window was the cause for the meat being room temperature. The chicken was a reasonable size, but gave no indication of being seasoned or having anything other than heat applied to it. The bacon was overcooked, and room temperature. The vegetables used on the sandwich were scarce and unimpressive, to include the dill pickle chips. The tomato(just one, so as not to overpower the flavorless chicken) was a light pink with little more than the texture of an unripe tomato. The very limited number of onion pieces only added a very weak fresh vegetable crunch. Lettuce… is lettuce. The BBQ sauce was weak and scarce, but the thought was more so that I had ordered a chicken sandwich with BBQ sauce to ENHANCE the flavor not to cover up the fact that chicken had none. Even the side of coleslaw was almost soupy and seemed as if it had been sitting as well, as it was almost the same temperature as the chicken. The most interesting part of the stay, after getting our food, was that we saw no more of our server until I had left my plate at the end of the table and she brought us the check(we assume it was from how swamped she was with her one additional table of five). Under most circumstances, an offer of more water would’ve been expected, but nothing like that happened. As I left on my extra receipt, «Poor Performance Overall.» I am very aware that there are a lot of things that go into a dining experience and have no issues with reporting the good and the bad directly to duty management. I am always happy to shake a manager’s hand, leave a nice tip and tell the restaurant to expect me again soon. The issue with today was the overabundance of staff on hand, given the limited lunch crowd, and no attention paid to things that would have been easy to detect/remedy. When open opportunities, like slow mealtimes, present themselves and things like the food product or service suffer, it is just time to seek out a different venue. It will definitely be another visit to Virginia Beach before I stop into a Logan’s location.

I very much enjoy the steak meals at Logan’s. I usually get the petite filet with a side salad and baked potato(boring I know). This time I wanted a salad so I ordered the blackened chicken salad which came with black bean and corn salsa, tomatoes and tortilla strips. It was tossed in a spicy ranch dip and it was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Sometimes blackened chicken lets me down because it is too dry, or too blackened and tastes burnt, but this was moist and delicious. I ate ALL the chicken from the salad and I rarely do that. I also ordered a side of sweet potato fries and they were pretty good. A little thin for my taste(I prefer them a little thicker) but they had a salt made up of cinnamon or something coating them that I think they had been tossed in which gave them a hint of sweet. It was very good. Our server was very friendly and polite, he was prompt and took good care of us. His country drawl was cute too and reminded me(a local who grew up in Roanoke but has since moved to Northern Va) that I was home. This location is very nearby and convenient for those already at Valley View Mall — sharing a parking lot with the Valley View Movie Theater and across the stop light from the Target.

Me and parents went to this Logan’s because it was close to the apartment we’re in at the moment for a family member in a nursing home. The server we had brought the rolls out very quickly which the rolls are the best thing Logan’s has to offer. The food I had ordered was good and got me full pretty quickly which I had the shrimp trio and 2 sides. I would definitely recommend this place to eat at.
