Church’s Chicken

Kind of bummed. Churches is usually fairly good for fast food chicken. Something is missing at this one. Half the time I drive a way with cold food. Nice staff but the food is no Bueno! I have come by a number of times and am disappointed every time! Why? Was hoping it would be better. Time to stop trying.

We knew before ordering tonight that we should drive on by. In fact, the other night we DID drive by saying, Nope. But we decided to give it a go tonight. I ordered a #1 and my husband ordered a #2. The man working tonight was very nice and fast. We got our food home and I immediately started to smell something off but I couldn’t tell what. Took a bite of mashed potatoes — fine. Took a bite of corn and found the smell. I can’t exactly describe what the problem was other than to say that it was just bad. My chicken tasted fine but my husband said that his chicken tasted old… like it had been sitting there for a long time. Neither of us had any interest in food poisoning so we stopped and tossed it all and went to Subway. Wasted time and $ 15 but hopefully avoided sickness.

Really a 1.5 star. I am hoping I don’t get sick. The corn I think was rolled in oil not butter. Threw them out. The biscuits were hard and hadn’t risen — hoping the coleslaw was okay it tasted alright but still the rolled oil corn sticks in my mind along with the freshness if the Chicken as it apparently doesn’t turn over a lot. The spicy chicken tasted old but the regular was alright but definitely won’t be back.

So, I’ve never been to a «Church’s Chicken» before. I like chicken, and I decided to try this place out. I was gonna write a rave review about the chicken, because I really liked it — it’s not great — but for whatever reason it was addivtive. It’s juicy and they give you a lot and I actually couldn’t finish my meal, which never happens.
The reason why I’m removing some stars is because that bathroom had to be the most foul I’ve ever seen. It’s ancient. Original to the structure. The women’s room is «OUT» (Out of service?) according to the paper sign. The men’s room smelled so foul it made me sick to my stomach — and I can handle a lot. I think the sewage system is backed up or there’s just no ventilation in there. It’s seriously gross. It was a total downer to my pretty decent lunch.
