This was my third visit to this location. Each time I tell myself to try something different, but I just can’t pass up the Parisian Benedict. I love it! The whole dish is full of flavor(with good quality ham, Swiss cheese, cubes of portabella mushrooms, green onions, and a yummy hollandaise sauce). The eggs are served on top of croissant slices instead of a sliced English muffin. The eggs were perfectly poached the first 2 times I was there. Sadly, the eggs were a little overdone this last time. I didn’t say anything because it still tasted very good. I’m sure they would have replaced them if I asked(but it was no big deal). The benedicts come with a side of grits or ranch potatoes. I always get the side of grits. They are good old fashioned grits served with butter on the side. The coffee is also very good. They set a full carafe of coffee on your table so that you can serve yourself. I love that! They also have 3 different coffee blends. We typically go for the seasonal blend, but I’ve enjoyed all of them. The service is always great. Rob has been our server every time we’ve been there. He’s wonderful! This has become our favorite breakfast spot in Brandon. Mom always requests this place for brunch. She’s impressed with the fact that she can order 1 egg and a side dish of grits without being overcharged. Most places will charge for two eggs even if you only want one egg. She’s also a big fan of their waffles. We’re looking forward to having brunch again at the Egg & I.

This has become one of my favorite spots for breakfast. The staff are friendly, food comes out quick, and I have never ate anything I would not try again. Every time I go I like to order something different and has never been disappointed. Definitely would recommend if you are in the area

I have been looking for a good breakfast place in the Brandon/Riverview area and I have finally found one. We got in at around 9:00am on Saturday and they told the wait would be 10mins. We were seated within 2mins. The restaurant is big and has plenty of space. It was clean and the ambiance was nice for a café/restaurant. The service was also great and the server was pleasant to talk to. The food was great a little bit pricey but worth it for sure. Fresh and delicious! I’ll definitely go back probably in the next week, and this could become my regular Saturday morning breakfast spot!

A little on the high price side for breakfast, but I guess you pay more for garnished food. I had the breakfast omelet with a side of bacon and white toast. Food had excellent taste and flavor. We would return in the future.

Sadly disappointed. I really wanted to like this place but first impressions are rarely wrong and the first impression was not a good one. I expect a breakfast place to be busy on a Sunday morning and was fine with a 20 minute wait as instructed. After 35 mins I asked for an updated wait time and was told 5 more mins. Finally, 10 mins later we came inside after waiting outside and was promptly seated after the hostess realized her mistake. Upon seating we quickly realized the issue — they were short staffed. Looking around there were 15+empty table and a long line outside waiting to fill these tables. However, only 3 were cleared. It was immediately made evident they were not prepared for the morning and the rest of our visit supported this assumption. From now on we will go next door to Boca or Ciccio and avoid further disappointment.

Came here about 9:20AM on a Saturday. Parking up front, and there was only a five minute wait. I drink a lot of water and I absolutely love they leave a small pitcher on the table. Our food was out with in 15 minutes exactly how we ordered it. It was extremely clean and I loved the décor. It was a homey relaxed feel. The hostess was as sweet as our waitress and when we expressed that it was our first time attending the establishment we were given envelopes to be opened on a return visit for a percentage off our meal or a free coffee.

Food was a 5, but I give it a 4 for not having cappuccinos. I think good breakfast spots should have good coffee. We ordered the chicken sausage scramble, French toast, and biscuits with gravy, and everything was delicious. Service was great, nice clean place. We sat outside since the weather was nice.

This is a favorite spot of mine and my family’s. I often meet fellow SAHMs here for brunch with the kiddos. My husband will have morning meetings here with clients. The food is delicious and the staff is always friendly and attentive. It’s clean and the food is prepared to perfection. Their seasonal Lemon Berry Ricotta Pancakes are AMAZING!

Absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients, and hearty portions. I had the strawberry and banana waffle, and the fruit was fresh without that gross syrup. My husband had the biscuits and gravy, which he can be picky about, but he thoroughly enjoyed them. And our toddler had the kids chocolate chip pancake, which we all tried and loved. The bacon was crispy. They had 3 different coffee flavors, and they even provided a carafe of soda at the table for my refills — it was a nice touch which I appreciated. The server and hostess were friendly, and the wait was only 5 minutes at 10am on a Saturday. We will definitely be going back!

It has taken us awhile to try this breakfast spot because there is always a long wait. We woke up early enough to beat the crowds today so we decided to give it a shot. I’m glad we finally tried it because it was worth the wait. Service with a smile. Quick and very friendly. Creative menu items that you won’t find at Waffle house including vegetarian friendly items. Items that make you want to eat breakfast even if you hate the typical breakfast foods! I’m not a fan of eggs, not cooked anyway or with anything. I do however often force myself to eat them for breakfast because they are a good source of protein! I gazed over The Egg and I’s menus looking for something without sugar or carbs. It was hard to say no to all their French toast and pancake choices that sounded so amazing but I wanted to try something a bit healthier and out of my comfort zone. I hard a really hard time choosing because their are so many options that sounded amazing. I finally picked the Colorado scramble with yes… eggs, but also peppers, onions, tomatoes, ham, Monterey Jack cheese and a side of green chili salsa which I poured on top. It came with a side of sausage or bacon and a toasted english muffin. It was amazing! I ate every bite which also amazed my husband who knows I hate eggs. I could have eaten anything covered in that green chili salsa. So not only was I feeling great about myself for avoiding maple syrup but I also can’t wait to go back for more!

The Egg & I is a chain restaurant with many locations in various states across the United States. This review is based on food, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, and value. This location was nice and clean. The customer service was really good! Where they fall short is in the food, and value departments. There were certain aspects of my food I personally didn’t like, and I thought the price was extremely high compared to the quality and freshness of my meal. For some reason, that kitchen was super slow. I don’t know if they were short man, or really backed up, but it took nearly 40 minutes for our eggs to come out. Overall, I give it 2.5 stars, but I’ll generously round up to a 3. Would I come back here again? Maybe, but definitely not my first pick.

Great breakfast and reasonable prices. Much better option than a Denny’s or corporate likeness. I had the seasonal coffee and a pineapple coconut pancake which were spectacular. Cristi has a cordon blue skillet which she liked very much.

I thought a place dedicated to eggs would be better. I had chiles relleno. It was horrible, swimming in cheap salsa and not prepared correctly. The ranch potatoes were lukewarm and bland. My mother had an omelet that was tasteless and the butter spread was cheap tasting. Don’t waste your time or money.

My husband and I were the first to enter the establishment today at 7:15am. We ordered immediately and yet it took 20mins for us to get our food. I ordered soft poached eggs and hash browns. I received an entire skillet of potatoes with a bit of crumbled corned beef in them and two little hard eggs on top. My husband ordered a omelet with ham, bacon and cheese and potatoes as a side. The omelet came with a sprinkle of each and the potatoes were cold. I asked for new eggs and my husband asked for new potatoes. Both came after an additional 20 mins, which means our other food was now cold or finished. Our waitress was very apologetic and the manager comp’d or meal however we will not be back.

This is my daughter and I favorite breakfast place so far. She loves the kids waffle express with chocolate chips on top. I love the viva la France French toast. Also their omelets are amazing! Even when there is a wait, the food is always hot and fast. I love that they leave a pot of coffee for you at the table. They also have outdoor sitting

I had breakfast here and it was uhh-mazing! First off, I kind of felt like eating breakfast and lunch(or simply«brunch»), but it was early in the morning… around 9:00am to be exact. I didn’t think the lunch menu would be open. However, I was elated when I was informed that the lunch menu was indeed available, and I ordered a delectable sandwich. Specifically, I ordered the turkey bacon avocado sandwich and it was to die for. The bacon was tender AND seasoned; The chicken was tender and the honey mustard sauce added a nice kick. I also had French toast and that was pretty good as well. Although I happened to not be on a health kick today, I did notice that there were healthy options were available. I highly recommend The Egg and I. They do breakfast/brunch well!

Forewarned is forearmed. An early hint should be taken as the gift it is. When a restaurant’s front door has a notice taped to the inside«Cooks Wanted» the best outcome is not to fight the message. The smart act is to walk. In the other direction. Perhaps that’s too judgmental. Logic should be our guide, too. If a restaurant has«egg» and«breakfast» in the name are we expecting too much for the eggs to be expertly cooked? Logic doesn’t work that well, apparently. And popularity should be some kind of quality indicator, right? Lots of patrons normally means something good. Hmmmm. Perhaps not. My benedict with avocado and bacon was sub-par this morning. The eggs were over-cooked. The bacon was fatty, unevenly cooked and of minute quantity. Instead of English muffin, the base was mini-pancakes. And the hollandaise was somewhere between gloopy and weird. Many folks apparently think this is all acceptable. My guess is that the bussers were on the line this morning, with predictable results. When a restaurant tells you up front that they have no cook… heed that message. Rely not on logic, popularity or hope. That way lies disappointment.

I been here a few times to this restaurant. There has always been a wait, but nothing too crazy. Parking is tight here though and the indoor waiting area is very small. Most people, if the weather is nice, end up waiting outside. Service both times has been mediocre. It’s not terrible, but not the best either. But the food is delicious! I love breakfast foods — I would eat here sometimes for dinner if it was open during that time, and they do a good job with it. With the exception of the steel cut oatmeal. It is very bland tasting, even with the fruit and granola. Avoid that! One thing I wish they change is how you pay for your bill. You have to take it up to the counter to pay. If there was ample room in the front lobby area, it wouldn’t be a problem. But because of how cramped it is, my suggestion would be to take that out and pay with your server. That way you are freeing up some additional, much needed space for people to wait at for their table.

Had an excellent breakfast and excellent first experience for my first time at The Egg & I!!! Seated right a way, waiter came over within a minute or so and took our drink order. We asked him what was more popular the iced coffee or regular coffee and he suggested the seasonal«winter blend,» which was excellent! I had the corned beef hash and eggs over medium. Comes with English Muffin… Fantastic! The other person in my party had the Mexican Omelet which was also amazing. Can’t say enough good about our experience there… I will be back… especially for that coffee… it was Christmas in a cup :)

Food is ok, not crazy incredible like I was told. I got the raisin French toast with had a nice cinnamon butter on it. The eggs and bacon were, well… eggs and bacon! The French toast was alright. This place was pretty packed(so if you have crowd anxiety this might not be the place for you) and I was told it normally is like that all the time and while the food was good, I didn’t find it outstanding enough for it to be so popular it’s always packed. As far as prices go, it’s a little higher than average. My 2 eggs 2 bacon 2 pieces of French toast was almost $ 9 which is priced than other places. Overall, not a bad place but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to go there again.

We’ve dined at The Egg and I at least 5 times since moving to Riverview this summer. Every time has been a treat! Our kids love it and ask to go back all of the time. My husband has enjoyed everything he’s tried, especially the breakfast burrito. I personally can’t speak for anything other than the Cambridge Skillet — it was love at first bite and I haven’t been try anything else!

I really enjoyed this place. Right off the bat, they serve water and sweet tea with a separate carafe for refilling. The service is very attentive and the food is served fresh and is excellent. The menu has a wide variety of items, including breakfast and lunch items. It would be cool if they added mimosas and bloody maries… might give them a 5 star eating. ;)

Awkward start. Hosts are welcoming and accomodating. Server was less than enthused to be working… ordered Parisian Benedict with a side of bacon. The bacon showed up like it was an appetiizer. Ha! I refused it. When my meal came out the same plate of bacon came out… cold. Fail! Sent it back. Second bacon came out cold. I was told it came straight out of the warmer. What??? Cancelled bacon. The Parisian Benedict? Fabulous! Ham and Swiss on a croissant topped with perfectly poached eggs grilled mushrooms, and hollandaise. Yum! Overall 3.4 stars… rounded down to 3. I’ll try them again if I am in the area… but beware the bacon from the warmer.

The food is good, although a bit pricey. The problem is the way they handle their wait list. I have experienced several times now, that they get on a waitlist, but you look and they have 5 – 8 tables just aitting, set, ready to go, but they won’t seat them due to their internal rules about server rotation. Other restaurants have developed systems to keep the seats filled, and they are more profitable than ha ing empty tables. I chalk it up to poor management.

This is so hard! I ordered the Greek salad(to go) and it was fantastic — dressing didn’t seem bottled either. However, two friends in the group had orders that were incorrect and no napkins or forks came with our order. Also, when I came to pick it up, the hostess just seemed overwhelmed. While I liked my food, the mistakes and service were annoying to say the least. This will be an alternative only if the restaurants around it are overflowing.

With the lack of quality sit down breakfast restaurants in the area this place is a shining light. Delicious meal, even though very busy still had ample room and seating, and got us seated and served in a respectable amount of time. Server was very concerned with our satisfaction and served us well. Surroundings and ambience is very appealing. Especially the neighboring areas, which certainly makes it feel like are at home. Food was delicious and full of flavor. Looking forward to trying some of the other tasty looking menu items. Hearty portions. Will be looking forward to taking the family there again over other locations for a family sit down breakfast.

Let me just get to the point here, okay. Do you like Eggs Benedict? I really like Eggs Benedict. When I say I really like it, I mean like if it’s on a menu, buffet, or even an option for me I’m ordering it. The warm, creamy sauce and the marriage of flavors, just twerking all over your taste buds. GOSH!!! How can you not like Eggs Benedict man. It’s vital to breakfast food and life in general. I ordered it here. I have a brief suspicion that they MICROWAVEDMYENGLISHMUFFIN. HAVEYOUEVERHAD A MICROWAVEDENGLISHMUFFIN? IT’S LIKECHEWING A WARMEDDISHSPONGE! Like when you have to turn your neck to get a piece off. THAT’S A PARTYFOULMAN! This has to be some sort of return of karma. But, in order not to eat a chewy microwaved english muffin again, I’m living my life right from this point on. Free hugs for everyone and I’m volunteering at the animal shelter. I’m not even going to talk about anything else because my feelings are hurt that they made my favorite breakfast selection bad, when I was really hungry. That’s rude. This is payback.
