Trailhead Family Restaurant

Passing thru on a Sunday evening and found most restaurants closed so ended up at Trailhead. Hostess was rude and waiting area full at 5pm. Whole place seemed to be understaffed… perhaps they were surprised with a larger than expected Father’s Day dinner crowd. Service was slow. Kitchen was slow. Wife ordered BLT and frys. I had open faced turkey sandwich. Not much real cooking for either but took forever. Again they were busy. I will say the food was good. No WOW factor but that was not expected with what we ordered so we were both satisfied with our meals.
Shout out to the decorations. From the restrooms to the waiting area to dining area, you could see some money had been invested. As someone who does stained glass I will give the previously mentioned WOW out to the stained glass. Some really nice pieces!

My son ordered a mushroom burger which was good. However barely into eating it he found a LONG hair in his burger. We called the waitress over and showed her. She said she was sorry and asked if he would like some frys instead. He said ok. When we paid for our meals the owner said it must have been our sons. Hardly he has a military hair cut for the National Guard. She charged us for the barely eaten burger and the extra frys. Bad public relations. I would rate it a negative 1 if I could.

If I could leave a 0 I would. We walked in and the hostess looked right at us and didn’t help us. We waited for 10 – 15 minutes while she stood at the station helping other people and looking at us. After we spoke up, she didn’t apologize or anything. We started waiting to be seated and another couple walked in and dealt with the same thing. Everyone looked at us but no one smiled or offered to help. A cranky waitress came up and when the other couple walked up to her she said in a inconvenienced tone, «I’ll be with you in a minute,» and walked away. The hostess started socializing with the waitresses behind the corner and continued to ignore the new couple. After about 25 minutes we walked out and went to the Pizza Hut down the road where we had our food long before they even took our name to be seated at Trailhead. Who knows, the food may have been great, but we weren’t willing to overlook the poor front of the house service.

Owner is horrible to the disabled employees. She belittles them in front of people by threatening their jobs and telling them they are too slow! I was appalled when I saw it and I hope CES gets wind of it.

I was looking for a nice dinner after a long day of driving and decided to give this place a go. The service was pretty good, I was greeted immediately and given my own booth to sit in. I ordered the steak which came with a trip to the salad bar, a cup of soup, dinner rolls, and a baked potato all of which were quite tasty!
If your looking for a nice dinner, then this is the place to go. I’ll have to come back to try other menu items.

we stopped for breakfast on on Saturday morning. the place was very busy but our hostess and server were friendly & efficient and our food was great.
I highly recommend this place.

I guess I only write bad reviews, but there is a reason. Before you sit down, take a look at the front door area and it will give you an idea of the service. It’s filthy with dirt on the walls and ceiling.
We sat down after listening to the seater and manager go at each other on where we should sit. They were much more interested in making sure the waitresses were getting an even chance at tips, than serving the customer.
Our seater said we might have Stephanie as our waitress… The clock started ticking. Another family sat a few booths from us about 7 minutes later… Guess who got waited on first? We walked out and found this awesome bar and grill next to KFC on 26… It was cleaner, quieter, and more relaxing.
Travelers beware!

The service was amazing! The wait staff went over and beyond their call of duty at a late hour when they could have turned us away justifiably. They did not turn us away… instead they did all they could to accommodate this last to go order. On top of all that, they gave us a discount after showing them our hotel key! Very clean, accommodating and highly recommended!

Had a steak which was good. All the food was good including the apple pie for desert. The waitress was very friendly and delivered great service. The only complaint is the place smells like an ash tray and not the cleanest place.

The food is decent, not a real clean place, service could definitely use work. There always seems to be members waitstaff yelling at each other.

OMG this place is just plain old dirty. Mom, Dad and I had not eaten here for over a year and we were coming back from Casper last month and decided we were just plain hungry. We walked in, were seated, got up to get salad from the salad bar and it was just disgusting. There was stuff slopped on the ice, dressings had film over them, the beets were nasty, potato salad was just old and crusty looking. They had some fresh fruit on the salad bar and it had been sitting out WAY to long. We quietly left and went up the street to eat. Have mentioned it since to friends and no one eats there any more. Their kitchen smells (you can smell it through door to back area every time they opened it. That grossed us out and really made it easier to leave. The girl who seated us was pretty nasty, had body odor, her glasses kept falling off her face and her hair looked like she forgot to comb it that day (or week). When we were leaving she asked us why and my Dad said because the place was dirty. She called him an a**h***. No tip for her, lol!

Stopped in for lunch while on the road with the family, had an alright lunch at a fair price but the service was poor and they added gratuity to my bill without notice and quite frankly I think that’s as good as stealing. I ended up double tipping the sub-​par waitress and that pretty much angers me. Needless to say I won’t return if I’m ever in the area.

Always like eating breakfast here when visiting. Service is friendly and the portions are generous. Cinnamon roll easily feeds 4 — it’s a must try.
