The atmosphere is very diner-ish, open atmosphere with a mixture of booths and tables. We were seated quickly, but while there a waiting line formed. It is a popular place, at least on Friday night. The chips are okay, just store bought, not heated up, but they are free and unlimited. The salsa has the consistency and texture of marinara sauce and to me tastes like spicy marinara(not too spicy, less than a jalapeño). The food was mediocre. Quantity does not make quality… The tortillas they use are store bought like the chips, probably Mission brand, and pretty bland. The kids quesadilla is not grilled, just heated in the microwave, not sure about the adult quesadilla. The smothered burrito everyone raves about is just a bean burrito with some mediocre pork chili verde poured over, and a copious amount of cheese melted on top. The taco on the small combo was impossible to eat as a taco because it was put on the plate first, then surrounded with the enchilada sauce, and chili verde run-off from the burrito. Definitely not amazing, but better than Taco Bell. No wait to modify the combo meal either, to get a different item than what is listed on the menu. Server was good with the keeping chips and drinks refilled, but was not interested being sociable, nor very helpful with the menu. Lunch combo seems reasonable, so stop if if there is no wait, I would skip it for dinner or if there is a wait.

No just no. Anytime you get sour cream in a pouch you know you are not at a real Mexican food restaurant, plus they don’t have their liquor license. The food was beyond mediocre we will not be going again.

Our favorite mexican restaurant! We drive 30 minutes each week to go there. To avoid confusion, they have changed their name to La Fountain. Love the chicken fajita smothered burrito, steak and chicken fajitas and the smothered burrito with cheese! Also a fan of their chunky salsa. The portions are huge and a great value! My husband both bring our plates home for another full meal the next day. Staff is very friendly. We love going there!

Ehhh… It’s ok. I usually just get chips and salsa thru the drive thru… They have awesome chips and salsa. The salsa is runny and not thick and chunky. It’s got a bit of a kick also. Not hot but just a little spice. I sometimes get the smothered burrito special also. It’s really good. Be warned they use a microwave to heat up the cheese in the verde that smothers the burro.

Been coming here for almost three years. In the past we would go to La Puente. However, once we discovered La Fountain aka La Feunte in Riverton we stopped going to the other places. Never had bad food or service. Even in our PJs going to pick up via drive thru. Always great here! Portion sizes get you wonderful leftovers. Price is just about $ 12 a person(soda included) without tip. My recommendation is two smothered, rice and beans, cheese and onions.

Agreed this Riverton location is VALUE for the money. I like the free chips along with a large bottle of salsa upfront while you’re deciding over the menu. The food is large in proportions and always piping hot plus the cheese is always well melted. The smothered burrito is always a go to item if you’re hungry, the combo is only $ 7.49. You honestly would pay about that at Taco Bell for a large combo. It’s a great family value place for basic Mexican!

Good idea Poor execution. Ordered a breakfast burrito with chorizo for pick up; eggs, potatoes, chorizo, tortilla wrapped. Overall It was very salty for my taste. Seemed like they just threw a whole lot of sauce on top, and it had, chicken?, I think? I don’t know what it was. Couldn’t eat half of the burrito. Also ordered a tamarindo drink and it was a huge cup of sugar and water. They need to step their game up, Riverton needs a better example of Mexican food.

Nice staff and a lot of food for your money. The food is just OK. This place used to be a hamburger restaurant and it still looks that way.

I’ve always found La Fuente(which is now La Fountain incidentally, the chain has gone through several name changes in the last few years) to be decent quality Mexican food and comparable to other similar chains. Their lunch and dinner specials in particular are superb value for money. I have tended to be more of a frequent visitor to the one out on 5600 West mainly because it’s near to my work and I have work colleagues who enjoy it too, so that tends to be the one I compare any of their locations to, but I am happy to report the food quality is just as good here as in any other of their restaurants in the chain. They do seem to have consistency down really well when it comes to the food and that’s certainly no bad thing and for me in many ways is what makes me go back along with the great prices and speed of service. They have all that at this location too, but personally I found the ambiance here to be rather lacking or clinical and the service not quite as personable but the latter could have just been luck of the draw. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.

I should start this out by saying I am looking for a replacement of my old favorite Mexican food place. I recently moved to South Jordan from Provo and I had some high hopes of finding a Los Hermanos replacement. La Fuente is not it. The service was good, but I just wasn’t happy with the flavors in the food. I always order a bean chimichanga which isn’t on the menu, but they were kind enough to make it for me anyway. The hubby ordered the fajitas which were decent, but the flavor just wasn’t quite right. OK place to go, not my favorite. Probably wouldn’t go back. Restaurant was clean and fairly busy(not overly crowded, but it was pretty busy).

After four sick kids and a really creepy experience I am choosing to write one of my first really bad reviews. Walked in with whole family knowing we’d probably drop a hundo at the place. First thing I noticed was they had already«pre-placed» chips on the tables for people. How nice of them? no How nasty. They’d been sitting out for how long. Got to see a little guy grab one of the chips as he left also. Nice 8 dinner plates gave us a good idea of the caliber of food. Nachos, mixed fajita plate, chicken burrito, enchiladas, hamburger for the kid. Nachos came out looking good with no sour cream though. I asked for it and it was delivered in a plastic single serving tube. Just interesting. Mixed fajita plate felt more like the bologna of meat plates. What ever was left over from the butcher table was sizzled up and delivered. The tortillas were brought to the table in a paper towel. By the time I finished the first tortilla, the other one was hard. Chicken burritos were delivered alone on a plate. Shredded chicken in a tortilla that was as brittle as the one in the paper towel. 9 bucks. Cheeseburger might have been the best buy. Off the kids menu. 3.95. I did have to make a call back to warn them of possible food poisoning. 80 bucks was a waste. Unfortunately, this Texan is still searching for good Utah mexican food.

Ok. I should mention that I am not a fan of really spicy Mexican food. Yes, I know that authentic Mexican food is spicy, but I really struggle to handle spicy food. My husband and I ordered the small combination plate(1 cheese enchilada, 1 tostada, 1 taco, 1 burrito). I found the food to be way to spicy and couldn’t finish my meal because my mouth was on fire. My husband thought the food was wonderful and he loved that it was so spicy.
