My second time here and walked up to the counter where I was not greeted but stared at instead by a moon-faced man that looking very agitated. So I proceeded with saying a simple hello and began to order. I ordered two chicken bowls and drinks. Up until the point of paying not one word was said by the person taking the order. I told my lady that it was really odd mannerism in which a host presented me with. As we were waiting for our food and I noticed a cook with a lot of facial hair cooking without a net. It was not pleasing to know that I may have to be extra aware that those long beard hairs may have found its final resting place in my food. As I was picking up my food the lady in the back yells«jefe!» And the host that took my order answered. He answered in a very feminine voice(just to give you perspective of whom I’m talking about). Upon realizing he was the manager here he was setting up my plate and just threw the forks, napkins and sauce cups on my tray; literally tossed. I then tried my last attempt of making this experience not my last one here by saying«thank you» but immediately turned away without a word or acknowledgement. The food was good with no hairs. However, there is a certain standard of preparation in the presentation of the food you must uphold regardless of level of fast food to high end restaurant. My food looked like it was thrown together. Very unappealing. By far, This WaBa Grill is setting my perception for all WaBa grills since this level of un-professionalism is projected by the manager. Thanks for the experience. Hard pass.

The food was good but the service was poor. The young lady who took my order had such a poor attitude. And she was very impatient

This place is great. I’ve been to yoshinoya and flame broiler and too be honey this place is the same as flame broiler. I also think it’s funny how hey are promoting healthy eating when flame broiler has been around for many years lol all in all I would come back

This place has always been good. I don’t understand the bad reviews when I’m in this restaurant few times a week and it’s always really busy.

Bomb. It’s like yoshinoya and flame broiler on crack. So much better, I’m loving the fact that I DON’T HAVETOGETRICE. HALLELUJAH. Not a big fan of rice and I hate these places that serve a horrible rice to meat ratio(flame broiler for example) so just for the fact that they sell bowls without rice, a star for you! You are awesome. Came in 20 minutes before closing and service was quick and nice. Asked for extra waba sauce because I heard good things about it, it’s like teriyaki sauce with a kick, pretty good. But I don’t like my dishes overly sauced. The bowl itself is a pretty good portion, lots of meat and lots of veggies, not to mention a variety of veggies that most fast food Asian places like this don’t have. Most places just stack on the cabbage which I don’t like as much. I dig the broccoli and carrots though, it’s a pretty well balanced meal, perfect for students who need a quick meal! The chicken was nicely cooked(NOOIL, GLUTENFREE) very soft and tender. I love the crazy amount of green onions on top too. Personally I think they’d have pretty good business if they opened 24hours. I’ll be back for you my precious no carb bowl.

The first time I came here they gave me very little meat and I thought it was a one time mistake kind of a thing. So I decided to try it again and the same thing happened… the third and last time I ordered extra meat and they gave me even less meat than a regular bowl. The part that angers me is that I paid Extra for more meat yet they still gave me a small portion. Why even have that option? It’s too bad that my gf likes this place Bc we will not be returning. Flame broiler has better prices and actually gives you meat!!! Avoid this place if you don’t want to pay $ 9 for a bowl of rice. It’s prices are on the upper end for teriyaki bowls considering their portion size. Flame broiler and Ono Hawaiian give you triple the protein for the same price. The pictures that Waba has uploaded onto Unilocal do not reflect what your bowl will actually look like. I know mistakes happen but for some reason the employee kept my card behind the register after I handed it to her and she swiped. She hadn’t figured out that she hadn’t given me my card back until I had to go back and ask for it. That made me feel kind of sketch especially Bc she didn’t act surprised or apologize

Fast friendly service… cool music… ample parking. Good cooking n food… plenty of seating… good selection. Do recommend… a bit tricky to get in off of canyon springs. Need to go to walmart side n drive by round table pizza to get in the lot… overall clean facility. Like the brown rice option. =))

First of one of the biggest wabas I’ve been too. Plenty of chairs and tables, but as far as customer service goes it was one of the worst. I’ve been to plenty of wabas and this has to be by far the worst staff! The lady took forever to take my order and gave me a little attitude about it like she had better things to do than her job. On top of that I literally looked at my bowl sit on the counter after the cooks placed it there. Waiting patiently after a couple of minutes passes, she finally came back from where ever she was and added the sauce. With no one but myself it took about 20 mins for my order. Smh! The food itself wasn’t bad with the exception that they do put less meat and more rice compared to other waba grill places.

One star because its dirty. Tables are dirty sticky, smells, and sauce stains. I could just imagine the grill. But the food is ok if it was the only thing around open.

For the type of restaurant this is, it’s pretty good. I’d definitely go here over Yoshinoya or the Flame Broiler.

7÷26÷2015 Haven’t been to this place in 3 months. I figured it would change as far as cooking the meat goes… Same issues. Save your money and go somewhere else. Any other waba grill go for it. This one stay away. If you do order the steak is better than the chicken.

I’ve heard nothing but good things about this place, however my visit is way different. this place was SO dirty! The table looked like they have not been cleaned for a good hour or two. Dried up waba sauce, dirty napkins and forks. The floors were the same just dirty. we ordered our food(beef bowl, salmon bowl) we were number 70 about 8 people came in right after us and some how got there food quick super fast. I went up to ask what’s taking so long and they told me the salmon takes awhile to cook. Now being a big fish eater salmon cooks very fast. Honestly I think they forgot about us because the employees were too busy talking. Food was about a 6 outta 10. Will I return or recommend this place to anybody? NO!

I love Waba Grill. However, I am giving this particular store two stars because of the amount and quality of the meat I ordered for dinner. I got there almost closing time and I even ask someone if it’s too late for me to order. Anyways, it wasn’t and more people came in. I think the order taker was in a hurry to go home tonight. I ordered 1 chicken bowl with white rice and 1 half and half with brown rice. She asked me to repeat my order 3 times which I dont mind because I want to get my order right since I have a picky eater at home. They called my number after 4 mins, excellent for the fast service. However, we got home and saw that they made our order both with brown rice and the chicken and meat looks like a kiddie portion. I’ve been going to Waba for a year now and it’s the only time I got that kind of portion for a bowl. Oh and my beef doesn’t look chopped. It looks like a gathered scrapped of left over beef. Im uploading a picture here. I get it its Friday night but c’mon dont treat a your customers like that.

Came here for a quick bite and it did the job. We got a chicken and a salmon bowl which were both very good individual portions. They’re very generous with the meat which was great but just wished for a couple more options. Overall a great lunch option.

I went in during lunch hour for the first time, so I was very impressed with how quick my food was ready. I really liked that you can see it being made fresh in front of you. The prices are also very decent for how much food you get. I got the half and half bowl(chicken and beef) with brown rice and it was delicious! The meat was not fatty like at some places, and there was a good meat to rice ratio :) i also really liked the brown rice, as it was very fresh. I will definitely be going back!

I usually don’t review fast food or big chain restaurants, but I feel obligated to warn my fellow Unilocalers about this place after my dinner there tonight. I went around 7:30 pm and they were already putting chairs up and closing for the night despite the fact that they officially close at 9 pm, and there were still people sitting and eating inside. I’ve encountered this problem before at this Waba Grill location, so I’d suggest calling to make sure they’re open before you show up. The early closing is the least of my complaints though. I went to this Waba Grill when it opened and it was pretty good. Unfortunately, it has seriously gone downhill. I ordered the steak bowl and took it to go. The majority of the steak was too tough to eat, and I had to spit out more than a couple pieces. I ordered green onions on top of my steak bowl and there were parts in there that should have been cut off. These issues could very well be a result of the employees working tonight, but that doesn’t excuse the lack of quality control. I had been craving Waba Grill and was seriously unhappy with the food tonight. I probably won’t be returning to this particular location.

Well… my 4 year old ate half of my bowl, so I’ll just be reviewing the other half! First time at Waba Grill, so I got the half & half bowl(teriyaki chicken + teriyaki beef) with brown rice. It was $ 6.90(including tax). All meat is charbroiled. The chicken is OK, but the beef is better! It was slightly burned around the edges which gave it that little flavor kick. The brown rice was cooked perfectly. I get more bang for my buck with brown rice — it’s ultimately more filling because of its natural fiber. No extra charge for the brown rice. This place kinda reminds me of Flame Broiler, but the beef tastes better here. Carnewhores can’t go wrong with the teriyaki beef bowls and plates here. This is Asian-fusion healthy eating — no oil is used in cooking. The same goes for no skin on chicken, no MSG(similar to Flame Broiler). For not using any oil, it sure is tasty. I want to know how they do it because I go through a gallon of oil every other week! Menu link ~
