After a day at Redondo beach boardwalk and other beach activities with my lady, we were on our way home and felt hungry. So, I decided to go to Unilocal for some guidance. I am glad we were near Tyler mall at the time because this place popped up, we decent reviews. Fast forward. Our first impression was pretty great. Right next(Like next door close) to the theater/in plaza, so being a sports bar, already a plus due to parking. Outside looks well kept. Inside, we were amazed at the attention to detail on keeping the Beach theme rolling. Like another reviewer said, it wasn’t your cheap dollar store décor. And there was even two pool tables At the time we arrived was about 9PM, on a sunday, so it wasn’t packed. We sat at the bar and we were quickly served by our bartender. Food was absolutely delicious, however, my lady didn’t quite enjoy the taste of the fish(not saying it was improperly cooked, but could be not enjoying the spice, which is fine, not everybody loves squid but people still serve it, for example) Anyways, I brought this to the attention of our bartender, and without hesitation politely gave us options to resolve the situation and even asked what we would like done.(Huge positive in my book). In the end, he offered to make the rest of the plate(extremely delicious shrimp, we ate the rest of the rice) into a pasta. By the time i finished my food, hers came out, not a biggy, still working on my IPA :) After she finished and we talked a bit, even to the bartender when he had free time, we then asked to close out. He proceeded to say he will be right back. Comes back with our check with her entrée off the bill. I was shocked, and when I tried to say I have no problem paying for it(because the entrée was technically over 80% eaten), he insisted it was okay. That, right there, is Customer Service! I will Definitely be coming back I highly recommend this establishment for a refreshing beer, alcoholic beverage, or delicious food.

They call this place the Beach because they charge shoreline prices, I think. The flow of burger plates looked really good but I will say that the prices for those burgers were all in the $ 11 + range. There are a lot of great burger places that can get you gourmet burgers at $ 8 to $ 10 range. They don’t have Time Warner so don’t go hoping to watch a Dodger game like I did but that is a Dodger thing. There was one girl serving the bar and the restaurant so flow was pretty slow. Not her fault, can’t run a lunch crowd here with one person. If anyone asked her a question about the menu, you lost her for 10 minutes. I had been craving fish and chips but at $ 12 I chose the half order. It was not big enough to satisfy me. It came with one piece of fish. The«coleslaw» needs to be renamed, it is NOT coleslaw. It has cabbage but that’s where the similarities end. I would not order the fish and chips here again. I would consider a burger if I had to come back but the price of the Tsunami is the same price as an advertisement I just got from another chain restaurant for their steak and lobster. Three stars because the food is NOT bad but prices, or more importantly value, is not worth a revisit. Aloha, I’m outta here.

The Beach … what can I say about this place! Upon arrival, the location is a pretty good spot right next to the movie theater while the parking is big enough and convenient. The décor in the place was superb while the wings and beer was pretty good. The costs on wings was very reasonable(five to six dollars) per ten wings and highly recommend the dessert! The peanut butter ‘boat’ is fantastic and looking forward to going back soon!

First time at the beach! Bloody Mary’s are my ultimate favorite drink and their loaded Bloody Mary is THEBEST I’ve ever had. I told our server(Alicia I think) that I wanted it to burn my throat because I liked it spicy. She made it perfectly! I had the rio grande burger and it was delicious. The fries are awesome too :) I will be coming back. Best place I’ve been in a LONG time

Despite the reviews the food was disappointing… Half cooked taco shells so they were chewy and the chips were cooked in a weird oil or the oil was bad idk :(

This was a cool little spot. Well it’s actually not very little but still a cool spot. Came in on Saturday night around 9pm and there were only a few people there but as we were finishing up, more people stated to show up. Maybe we went at the wrong time. The drinks that we got were strong! I got an Irish Coffee and my girl got a pineapple upside down. Both were really really strong so they served their purpose in getting us tipsy faster. The server was cool and was continuously checking on our food. We got a appetizer sampler which we chose pot stickers, quesadilla, onion rings and mozzarella sticks. The sticks were good. I got a smoked steak and melted cheese which was very good and my girl got the Gourmet Macaroni and Cheese. Ahain, it was delishous. Overall, the food wasn’t bad, the service was good and the drinks strong. Was a little bit pricey but worth trying out a new place. The place itself made it feel like the beach theme that it promoted with surfboards on the walls and beach/island themed menu names. My biggest complaint, however, was the music selection and the lack of TV’s. I was expecting more of beach themed music and form where I was sitting, I couldn’t see a TV without having to turn my head more than more than 90 degree. Overall, not a bad spot. I would go back again to try a new dish and experience the place on a different day and/or time.

BESTKEPTSECRETINRIVERSIDE! I’ve been here twice and each time it only got better. Taco Tuesday is my favorite. The tacos are $ 1!!! Speciality Tacos $ 1.50. Best cheap meal in town! And I LOVE the fact that they have cider beer!!! I’ve had other items there too. The buffalo wings are out of bounds. Their fries are pretty bomb too. If you want a great sandwich, order the Italian!!! YUMMO! And the waitresses were fast and friendly. Count on me and the fam to come back soon!

After throwing back a few beers at the packing house brewery, I met Frank; the owner. I was hungry and Frank directed me to his establishment for some after beer grub. The restaurant/bar/grill is right next door to the movie theatre, plenty of parking. Me and my hubby walked in and were blown away with the décor(beach themed, but not cheap dollar store beach) and just how big it really is. Plenty of tables, decent sized patio area and a full wrap around bar seating. I was a little dismayed at walking in and not quite knowing if I seated myself or needed to wait as there was no one up front at the greeters desk. We plopped ourselves down at a bar table still a little unsure as to what the protocol for seating/service is. We waited about 5 minutes before a guy with some great hair(and beard) took our drink order. They have 27 awesome beers on tap; from 805 to bootleggers heifenweizen. Our drink order came out pretty fast; ice cold with a good pour. I was in the mood for bar food so I didn’t really look through the entire menu. We waited probably another 10 minutes to get our food order in(sampler platter; wings, pot stickers, potato skins and onion rings) reasonable priced and you get to pick 4 items. The food came out hot and appealing to the eye, after a reasonable wait. The onion rings were crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, not too oily and seasoned perfectly. The wings oh my the wings, better than BWW! Not oily, not drenched in sauce; but perfectly crisp with the right ratio of sauce. The potstickers were delish, piping hot and the sauce that accompanied it, WOW I need that recipe! The only ehh was the potato skins, they looked beautiful with sour cream, chives, cheese and bacon but we’re lacking in the salt department. After finishing my meal I took a trip to the ladies room. Clean, well stocked and bright– kind of hard to find in a «bar@ and bonus they have a changing table. I have three kids and am always disappointed when I can’t find a place to change my youngest. This was a BIG plus because to me, it means the owner wants to cater to not just beer drinking football peeps but also to families with small kids. Overall I really liked it. It is a bit loud but if you’ve ever been to BWW then the noise is comparable, I mean this isn’t Denny’s. I think my only complaint was the service, the guy running the front of the house seemed overwhelmed. He was the only one running orders and dealing with the front. In addition to our table he had 6 more plus the patio area. But nothing against him; he was pleasant. I was in a bit of a time constraint so the extra 25 minutes of waiting between various points of service stressed me out a tad. But like I said all in all a good time.

Just outside of Riverside, California(which doesn’t feel like it’s next to a river) we found The Beach(which is 47 miles away from an actual beach) and it’s AWESOME Loaded Bloody Mary(which thankfully was appropriately named). Sky vodka with their house mix and garnished with a shrimp and all the usual fixins; so much and so friggin good.

Service in a service based business is critical. It doesn’t take 5 min for a waitress to say hi and give you a menu, it doesn’t take another 5 min. for her to get a glass of water, on a slow Friday afternoon. The place is dark and dingy. Dust balls falling from dirty decorative surf boards when the Ac kicks on. Dirty front Windows makes me think of the overall cleanliness of this restaurant. It’s now been 20 min from when I ordered a reg chicken salad. I wish I could say the the opposite of this local place as potential it does have.

Came here on Labor Day, for the very first time. The service was very fast and friendly, the décor was colorful, and inviting, and everyone we met, was fun and outgoing. We will definitely be going there again.

It’ been while since I’ve reviewed this place, and even though it’s changed a lot, I still LOVE it! Cold beer, fun shots, and a cool atmosphere. I love going in with my family during weeknights for dinner, and the occasional date night where the hubs and I can hit the bar and watch the live bands on weekends. The burgers are the BEST!!! I absolutely love the burgers. The sandwiches, and happy hour menu items are unique, though I do have to say their fish is kind of back and forth. Oh, and their Sunday breakfasts are awesome!

Came here on a Saturday night at around 9 knowing absolutely nothing about this place. Seated immediately at a booth. I was with two friends. A waitress came over with a beer for one of my companions. Him and his wife are regulars and friendly with a few of the servers. I didn’t feel like ordering a meal so I settled on the Pineapple Coconut Habanero wings from the appetizer section. They were a mixture of sweet and spicy just as the waitress had described, and at $ 8 for about ten wings the price was good. There was a couple of security guards at the door when we arrived. I found that a little odd but then a DJ started playing after we had been there about an hour so I’m guessing it takes on more of a club atmosphere as the night goes on. It looked like there was a space cleared for dancing where the DJ was located. There is also a seated patio area perfect if you are a smoker or just want to be outside. Also, with a few TVs looks like the perfect spot for watching sporting events. Service was above average, never had to ask for a refill or request a condiment more than once. If I am in the area again I would love to go back and try one of their steaks!

First time here. Staff was very welcoming and informed us of all specials and different lunch, dinner, drink and happy hour menus. Large $ 5 beer mugs, great food on the Happy Hour menu. Tried the hot boneless buffalo wings(pretty standard), stuffed mushrooms(yummy), Cajun bbq bacon-wrapped shrimp(amazing!) and mini burgers(juicy). Will definitely come back to check out their different specials and DJs/bands on the weekends!
