Shakey’s Pizza Parlor

Bunch O lunch! Shakey’s is an institution in Southern California, they were gone for a few years but came back; people who grew up in Southern California have probably been here for their lunch. For about ten bucks you get all-​you-​can-​eat salad, pasta and Pizza. The pizza is pretty good if you get the crispy thin crust; the salad, pasta, meat sauce and everything else is just mediocre. But the fried chicken and Mojo potatoes are spectacular. Maybe my favorite Fried Chicken of all time. The chicken is broasted, which means deep fried in a pressure cooker. Perfectly cooked, even the breast is moist. Very well seasoned delicious chicken. The Mojo potatoes are lightly battered and broasted. Get lots of ranch and bleu cheese to dip into. A fun place for kids, there is a game room and all you can drink soda fountain.

Worst shakeys ever. employees are rude and it looks like they’re annoyed with their job. Go to the Fontana shakeys not this POS location

Good place feels a little outdated and needs a good renovation. Staff was friendly and very courteous. Three stars because they still serve cheese in packets when you eat at the restaurant, salad bar needs a little work and variety as in garden salad and Cesar sales with different toppings. We came here at around 3:15 no one was there and the food took about 30 min to come out, and we only ordered a large pepperoni pizza, chicken and mojos. Would definitely come

I ran into a friend recently and he smelled like Mojo potatoes and I couldn’t stop thinking about it for days. I finally got my chance to gorge like the obese animal that I am and bunch-​a-​lunched it. I haven’t been to Shakey’s in close to 15 years partly because of location but mostly because of shame. The place itself was cleaner than I remembered and the pizza was also as gross as I remembered. The fried chicken was actually pretty good. It was better than the diseased birds at Stater Bros or Food 4 Less. The real star was the Mojo potatoes. My friend did smell like them and I know why. He must have coated his entire body in it so he could enjoy the scent for the long winter ahead. It was worth it. I also really liked the smores pizza which was chest bursting awesome.

This is mainly for the AYCE Shakeys Bunch A Lunch. It’s good for the price. Especially when you have a BOGO Coupon. Paying for only one person and getting two meals makes the trip worth it. Pizza. Mojo Potatoes. Mashed Potatoes & Gravy. Spaghetti. Salad Bar. Fried Chicken. BBQ Chicken. Breadsticks. Dessert Pizza. I think that’s everything. We got there right when they opened so the pizzas were just coming out of the oven. We ate until we couldn’t eat anymore. Only thing to remember is, it’s just a pizza place. A cheap pizza place. Ha. Ha. Not to slam it. I like coming here. I just know this isn’t my favorite pizza place. It’s good for groups. It’s good for kids. It’s good when you’re on a budget.

Very small hardly ever put food out what a waste of 22 dollars and very rude I will not be coming back here again it’s sad cause I loved shakeys as a kid different locations but this one wasn’t worth a dollar enough said and then she wouldn’t give us togo cups

Me and my wife tried it again… they had it together… didn’t reconcile any of the faces from our first visit… they had plenty of pizzas this time.
.need to mix it up though… variety. …service was good food was much better… and nice and clean

Great Service, food was delicious. I remember they used to take long, but today was faster than normal.
Always tables available since they’re not as busy as the Fontana one.

Just visited this Shakey’s while in CA last week. We live in CO now and they don’t have them there, so I try to hit one while we are in the area. On our most recent trip, I took my two nieces and we had a really nice dinner. The staff were very friendly and even gave us a Monday special! Had to get the mojo’s, lol. I love the pizza, but the mojos are also a staple. The food came up quick and hot. We had a great experience. We even helped sing happy birthday to a girl who was having a party. It was fun. Thank you Shakey’s. We will be back soon I hope :) Happy Travels!

I like this place generally, I can almost always enjoy the taste as I’ve been coming here for years. This is the first review I’ve made for them. Quality varies. Wait-​time varies, and the craft beer selection is surprisingly lame.
This time we waited a while.

Some other time when I came to Shakeys, the chicken wings still had some pieces of feather quills still lodged inside the fried chicken skin… and it was something that my mom ordered, so it made me particularly annoyed.
I came here this time because of coupons but it was still expensive for a medium pizza. With the other options in the area, Shakeys probably wouldn’t be my first choice.

Came here to bring the kids yesterday and ordered their pizza buffet for 3 not worth it !!!
They put out one pizza every 30 minutes I would not consider this a buffet. No assortment of pizza. Just 1 different pizza every 30 minutes. We were there with our children for about an hour to hour and a half and when we left they just have the same two pizzas out pineapple pizza and sausage pizza Garbage just Garbage.; (.. Come on get it together Fred (manager)!!

I came here the other night and don’t have any complaints. The employees are really friendly & the pizza is good. Service is fast and efficient. A lady brought our pizza to our table with a smile and she was very kind & also brought our plates to our table which we forgot to pick up ourselves. She treated us like we were family. Place isn’t loud at all, this was my first time at shakey’s and i pictured it being loud with children running around but it was pretty quiet and I was able to enjoy my food. I will return to this location :)

Please do not come here, especially for a birthday party. We made a reservation for 7 pm (Saturday) for 17 people. When we got here, the only thing that was set up was birthday table mats. We had to wait 45 minutes for the cups, drinks, pizza, & balloons to arrive. Bad customer service. The arcade area was tiny & most games were broken. The employees were also rude to the kids & one employee ignored me when I asked for help. It was not busy at all by the way, so can’t even give them the benefit of the doubt.

I prefer this location than moreno valley. There thin crust pizza YUM the chicken and mojos so good. I like there hawaiian pizza!!! The staff are friendly and always got coupon for personal pizza!!! There salad bar is kept cold so salad is good!!!

Hmmm… I have mixed feelings about this place. Went there last night to have dinner with the fam bam… Food was good, prompt service, cups for drinks are to small… had to get up 7 times for refill…
Aaron offered us a salad, we said yes, yet he forgot to charge me for it, and when I went to ask him about it… he admitted his mistake and gave us a free salad…
Ambiance is kind of noisy though… softball girls yelling and screaming, Packers on the tube… always a good thing… It all just seems really… Unorganized…
Don’t know… I think I’ll give this place another try, not sure yet… Best word I can think of is…“confused”…

Yuk comes to mind. A great place for kids and for pizza that tastes like it came out of a box. Came for Labor Day brunch, only 30 after they opened and it looks like the pizza had been sitting there for an hour. The most pathetic salad bar I’ve ever seen. Seriously, just old, unwashed lettuce and dressing, stale croutons and boxed salads, i. e, potato, pasta. They kept cleaning the counters off with a dirty rag, literally rubbing the food around, not cleaning it up. If I had an appetite when I got here, it’s gone now. I should of just had a pizza pocket. Oh and Yuh, the place was a mess, sticky tables, soiled carpet. Yuk.

This place is perfect if you have ten screaming kids. You will fit right in. Food was plain. Tables are set up like a school cafeteria and the food tastes like you’re in one as well. I’m out $ 21.00 and all I have to show for it is an upset tummy and a head ache. I have not had this bad of pizza sense home town buffet.

Came in for the bunch-​a-​lunch special. I was underwhelmed. I remember loving shakey’s. The deal is good but the food is mediocre. The mojo potatoes were the best part. I also am not a fan of their sign that indicates you can only have one plate of salad. At a buffet I don’t want to be limited in any way.

Ate here on Easter, I didn’t expect it to be good because the one in Moreno Valley isn’t good at all. But I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t busy because it was Easter so everyone was at church or out egg hunting. The only qualms I have with this place is the pricing, I paid 28 dollars for a large pizza, mojos and 2 drinks. That is very overpriced but the Pizza was delicious surprisingly, the mojos were salty according to my husband and the drinks were delicious as well. I would return, for sure.
Establishment was clean, well taken care of and the restrooms were clean as well.

Bunch a lunch special!
All you can eat pizza and fried chicken, yuppppp! Shakeys is a pretty standard chain restaurant. I have been to a couple different locations, even internationally, and they are pretty much all the same experience. The décor is average, the famous brick walls and what not.
I frequent this location for the lunch buffet, which is a pretty good deal. You get all you can eat pizza and chicken and a couple of other salad bar options which is great for the price. I like this location because the way they make their mojo potatoes is just perfect, never fails.
Overall, if I’m craving for a lot of food for cheap price and good service, this is definitely on my go to list :)
