Not sure why the dude said this store is «located in one of the worse places to go after dark»?
It’s by far NOT a «bad» place to go area-​wise.
Ahhh yes, those who talk about Thrifty ice cream, I do remember that too, and when Aaron Bros art mart used to be in this location as well, next door.
At any rate, I did like that they had a decent selection of stuff here. I did find my medical product, price was «meh» a little high… But… I needed it and the construction they are doing by Wal Mart blows.
I shopped around and saw several big yellow price tags that said in bold
50% OFF
WOW great! So I picked up a sale item. Almost got a few… Good thing I didn’t, because…
Guess what???
You have to have some Rite Aid membership card to GET ANY discounts! Booo hiss!
Don’t businesses have enough ways to gather people’s shopping habits better than all these store cards?
Ahh well, get an ice cream here and you will smile.

I went here for one thing, Thrifty’s ice cream!
As as kid I used to go to Thrifty’s Drug Store for the ice cream. Rite Aid bought them out and now Rite Aid’s on the west coast are the only place in the country to find Thrifty’s ice cream. They still scoop it the old fashioned way, with the cylindrical scooper!
They have Chocolate Malted Crunch and many of the other flavors I grew up with. It was a blast from the past and just as delicious! I only wish we had Thrifty’s ice cream where I live now but alas, that is not the case.

This Rite-​Aid isn’t located in one of the «safer» places in Riverside so I advise not coming here after the sun sets. The store closes early for a reason… got it?
Do come on a Friday to load up on sale-​priced alcohol and treat yourself to a scoop of delicious ice cream for being such a spendthrift.

When my daddy took me out for ice cream, we came here. I know he brought me here because he was a cheap mofo, but you know what? This time it was OKAY, because the ice cream here is soooo good. I mean when it starts melting I start licking so fast, so that even one drop doesn’t go to waste good kind of ice cream. But if one drop was too quick for my tongue and started to drizzle down the cone, I use my finger to put it back into its rightful place, MY MOUTH. muhaha… don’t you just love cheap and yummy eats?
Also, I love how they scoop their ice cream. They use a cool cylinder scooper. I thought that was normal until I went to other ice cream joints that uses the «normal» ice cream scooper which is really just a small spoon, boooo! Man, rite aid needs to sell their scooper!

ummm I don’t think I ever gotten 1 scoop hahaha. I recommend the chocolate malted crunch which is found only there!
