my friends went here for my 20th birthday(first time here ever) and honestly it was the worst service ever! We were seated in the bar for happy hour and the bartender taking our order was rude, not focused and ignored us basically the entire time we were there. Thank you for a horrible start of my birthday night! Deff not coming back here ever again!

Meh. Not a huge fan of this place. Been here a couple times and every time I felt like the food was just mediocre and it is over priced. Nothing really special about this restaurant. Many people like the bar area though. This place seems to be crowded all the time, since there is always a wait on weekends. I don’t know, Maybe I ordered the wrong things? I’ve tried the kung pao shrimp and the coconut shrimp skewers.

It’s amazing how long a sub par establishment can stay in business for as long as this place has. I’ve been meaning to write a review for quite a while now but apparently it’s a moot point. This is a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant now.

Sat at the bar this time and my experience was about the same. I didn’t order any food so I decided to give the place an extra star for this review. I really only like the elephant bar because of their happy hour deals. And their mango fusion mojito is so tasty! The bartenders are nice people and good employees. They were attentive and made our drinks relatively quick. The only issue I had this time was that some man who appeared to be on drugs and reeked of extreme B. O sat down at the bar next to me and just made me and my friends uncomfortable. He had the audacity to ask me to buy him a drink and to ask us if he could eat our leftover food. The man didn’t appear to be homeless he was dressed like your average person and wasn’t dirty he was just very fidgety. I wish management would have escorted him out or at least one of the bartenders should have done something about the situation.

So, drinks? Excellent. Well made and tasted great. Now… For everything else… Hostess was very rude when we were 5 minutes late for reservation and told us we had to wait. No biggie. Whatever. Waitress was nice, friendly… But got our order wrong not once, twice, but yes ladies and gentlemen. THREE times. Now for the food… Good God. WTF! How do they stay open? Food was horrible! The garlic bread was insanely DRY possibly stale? Hard to eat. My wife’s pasta was cold and very over cooked, although her shrimp was hot. My philly cheese steak sandwich was gross, so bad I only are half, bread was VERY stale… Dry, hard to eat. I was expecting a moist bun. Steak on the filly was very bland and tough and the cheese was hard. I’ve never had a philly that bad, ever. Sweet potato fries were good though, however they forgot I ordered them and I had to ask twice before actually getting them. To end the night the waitress didn’t even mention dessert(not that I wanted any after this experience). I’ll never come back here. 2 stars because the drinks were good. What a waste of 50 $.

Spent some time with family and friends. Enjoyed a great meal. I made a mistake in my order forgot about allergies, Bladi, the manager, got it handled and I enjoyed the meal safely. Son loved his burger and wife enjoyed her meal. Great atmosphere, quiet enough to have. Good conversation without having to raise our voices. Great service!!!

Came in here while taking a break from Christmas shopping. It was relatively early for dinner, 4:30 so expected a quick and easy meal. The experience turned out to be beyond disappointing. First, I’m a vegetarian, and I had been to the Elephant Bar in Scottsdale and it was great, sooooo, I thought, let’s give it a try. To my dismay, it was horrible. They didn’t seem to have the same menu and when I asked the server she didn’t seem to have a clue. So I was stuck ordering side dishes, which I’m sort of used to. I ordered the veggie fried rice. I took one bite and spit it out. It was overwhelmingly ginger, to the point that it tasted like a cleaning product. The server didn’t return for about 10 minutes. I had asked other servers who walked by to get her for me but she took a really long time. When I complained(the person I was with also sent their food back btw) she just said, oh, okay and walked away with the plate. Not, can I get you something else, or I’m sorry do you want us to remake it. Just left. I was floored. I walked to the front and asked to see the manager since I had no idea if she was coming back. He apologized and was friendly enough about it but at the end of the day, he defended the food, saying they use a lot of ginger in their food. I’m not a ginger hater, but it was just way too much. He also mentioned that they had a bunch of vegetarian options, they just weren’t on the menu. They were on place cards on the table that I had missed. Huh? Why hadn’t the server mentioned it when I asked about vegetarian options? *sigh* Anyway, at the end of the day, I left there hungry and annoyed. I really think she was just not properly trained and didn’t have the friendly/bubbly personality needed to be a good server. Won’t be back…

Came here with my family after a movie. Food was pretty good but definitely want to comment on the service. Our server Emma was just amazing. She was able to answer all our questions and when my wife couldn’t decide on an entrée Emma made a great suggestion with the Mediterranean Tri-Tip. We also started off with the Parmesan green beans and sweet potato fries, which were delicious. Emma was very attentive and always knew when we needed something and just brought it over without us having to ask(ie napkins and refills) Definitely recommend coming to this Elephant Bar and would ask for Emma every time! They also have a pretty good selection of beers!

Mongolian beef 4⁄5 Super tender with flavored soy sauce. Served with brown, white or fried rice. $ 14 Sirloin beef with pawn shrimps 2⁄5 Beef was too overly cooked, the edges were burnt andbtge shrimpntasted dry. $ 20 Zesty chicken salad 3⁄5 Chicken is tender however the entire salad lacked flavor and sauce. $ 11 E cookie 2⁄5 Warm chocolate chip with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The cookie was disappointing because edges were incredibly hard. The ice cream was average. I like the pazookie at BJs better. $ 5 Service 3⁄5 –kiyana She was responsive but had an attitude and was not good at recommending the menu.

I’ve been here a few times and the service and the food is always pretty good. I don’t care for the meat loaf at all, but the crispy teriyaki chicken is always a winner

My friend and I came to this place last night. The place had a 20-minute long wait that actually took 35 minutes. We were greeted with a cheery and pleasant server, who later disappeared during the course of our meal without notice, and replaced by a «not-so» pleasant waitress. We ordered the artichoke dip, calamari, and coconut shrimp for appetizers. For our main course, we ordered the shrimp scampi with lobster sauce, and for dessert, we got the chocolate chunk«E”-cookie. DONOT make a mistake of ordering the artichoke dip! It had a bitter after taste and the chips were greasy and tasteless. It was gross! However, the calamari and coconut shrimp were delicious. The«E”-cookie which is their version of the famous BJ’s Pizzookie was also great. Overall, you can get better food and better service elsewhere for cheaper.

I’ve been a long time Elephant Bar fan, they’ve always done me right and price was fair. They recently changed their menu’s rather drastically. Raised prices, cut portions and eliminated many options. Food selection, and quality is on the road to Applebee’s now and I just can’t have that. I talked to the manager and he expressed dismay at the changes as well but is following orders from corporate. Bummer, EB was one of my favorites. I wont be back.

I went to Elephant Bar on a Wednesday night for a early Valentine’s Day dinner since I have to work on Valentine’s day. It wasn’t crowded at all, so we were seated immediately. Customer Service was fantastic. Our server was Kevin. He was very friendly, fun, and courteous. He took great care of us. Food was on point. I got the [[ Korean BBQ steak and Lobster. ]] I like my steak medium rare and Kevin warned me that he’ll do his best to let the chefs know, but since the Korean BBQ steak is marinated and sliced, sometimes it’s too thin to cook to medium rare. It’s usually done medium well. I appreciated the warning, but the steak came out just how I like it.(But if it’s on a busier night, I don’t think they would have the time to pay that much attention to detail to one customer’s order.) Lobster was pretty good. Better than I had expected. My date ordered the [[ Market Cobb Salad ]](Yes, my man ordered a salad while I ordered a steak.) I had a couple bites of his salad, and it was pretty scrumptious. It’s definitely a good size. It may even be a meal and a half for me. Dessert: [[ Ultimate Chocolate Indulgence ]] A gluten-free, flourless dark chocolate cake, mixed with hints of coffee flavor. Topped off with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, nuts, and strawberries. MUSTTRY. It was delicious! The slight bitterness of the dark chocolate balances out the sweetness of the dessert.

Meh. I wasn’t really impressed with Elephant Bar. I got this chicken dish(I don’t remember the name) but it came with vegetables and brown rice, and honestly it really wasn’t worth it at all. I also got a garden salad before my meal and it was crappy. I think next time I’ll try their barbeque or one of their Asian dishes and maybe that will change my mind.

You seriously can not beat the happy hour at Elephant Bar. $ 4 chicken strips. $ 4 mai tais and mojitos. I am only reviewing for bar. Not the regular bar restaurant. I have had nothing but good service in the bar.

***I am not a huge fan of Elephant Bar so I had low expectations going in; the service here was good and the dining area was clean and comfortable; the food though was similar to other Elephant Bar locations – not that good*** Elephant Bar is definitely not my favorite chain restaurant. I thought the one I tried in Burbank in the early 2000s was okay, but after one decent and then many subpar experiences at the Torrance location, I have kind of avoided this chain. This Elephant Bar is located next to the AMC theater and the Tyler Galleria. It is pretty similar to other Elephant Bars in terms of décor – it kind of has a faux Polynesian feel – definitely not the tiki experience of a Trader Vic’s but definitely some similar design elements(but less of a kitschy place; the room is pretty straightforward and not too garish). The menu hasn’t changed since my last visit to the Torrance location several years ago. They feature a lot of the all-around-the-world cuisine you will find at sit-down family chain restaurants. You will also find a lot of wok fired Asian influenced dishes here. I had the wood-fired ribeye with the jumbo prawns in lemon garlic butter. The wood-fired ribeye was not that thick, but it was probably a little thicker than what you would find at most chain restaurants. I asked for medium rare; it came out more medium(medium rare in some parts); it was still juicy enough. The steak though did not have the best flavor. It tasted of the fire too much and there was way too much pepper on it. The jumbo prawns were pretty good. They were nicely cooked and they were moist and tender. The lemon garlic butter did not add that distinct of a flavor, but at least it did not make the prawns too greasy. The sides were below average. The broccolini was fine in terms of texture – not too overcooked or undercooked. Unfortunately, it was quite bland. The garlic mashed potatoes were worse though. They were really dry and dense. They tasted like they had been sitting around(or were from the day before) – no moisture and not much flavor. The price for this entrée was high probably due to the expensive ingredients used. Most of their entrees though are about what you would pay at a T.G.I. Friday’s, BJ’s and so on(Elephant Bar might be a little more expensive). Service was good. The hostesses were polite and welcoming while our waiter was friendly, polite and attentive. The food came out at a good pace. As mentioned earlier, I am not a big fan of Elephant Bar and this location kind of confirmed my opinion. I thought the service was good, but you would probably be better off going with nearby P.F. Chang’s over this one(there are mostly chains around this mall and movie theater); I have not tried the Yard House or T.G.I. Friday’s yet(they are also around this mall). This Elephant Bar is located in the area surrounding the Tyler Galleria, which has its own free parking lot; the restaurant is right next to the AMC theater. The lot is huge, but it might be difficult finding an open spot near the restaurant during peak times.

Gina and I really like the food and service at the Elephant Bar in Riverside, but that was due past performances. Today was a terrible day for the Elephant Bar. We walked in at 11:30AM and was sat in the bar. After several minutes of waiting around, we were finally greeted by «RayLene» who was apparently the bar keep and a part time waitress. We(Gina and I) ordered drinks, an appetizer, and our lunch. We quickly receive our appetizer, although Santo or Sancho shoved the hot plate of Spinach and Artichoke up against me. As always the appetizer was GREAT, but after a few bites the same server shoved our lunches in front of us. This is one of my biggest pet peeves; receiving your entrée before you even finish the appetizer. Most restaurants recognize to wait until the appetizers are done before you(the waitress) place the entrée order. Now the ultimate gross thing happened, I grabbed my fork to enjoy my food and what do I see… A crusty chunk of debris on the fork. I received a second fork and saw another crusty glob on the fork(see my accompanying photo at ). When RayLene FINALLY returned to our table I displayed the forks to her. She giggled and laughed without an apology and handed me a new set of utensils. That’s Strike Two! Our meals were tasty as ever(six + prior visits). Gina had a Chicken Cesar Salad with their famous cheese macaroni side; I had the seared Ahi Tuna Salad. RayLene graced us with another short visit and said she would comeback with refills on our drinks. She returned several minutes later with the wrong drinks; the silly thing is there were only two other tables to serve in her section, yet she forgot our order(see could have looked at the glasses to see what we were drinking). I had to whine to the manager to receive our proper drinks; at least he apologized to us. Well, we finished our meal and waited for the check. We waited and waited and waited. I could hear RayLene gossiping with several other waitresses; it sounded like a heavy discussion about their personal lives. I would not have minded hearing the gossip if it was something worth listening to. I stacked our dirty dishes in the middle of our table; it was OBVIOUS we had finished our meal. RayLene stepped to one side of the gossip fest and looked toward my direction. I was waiving my arms like a Navy aircraft carrier marshaller waving a Jet onto the flight deck. The other customers were amused by my frantic display. Of course RayLene ignored me and returned to the gossip fest. Ten minutes later RayLene again looked in my direction. This time she saw the look of disgust on my face because we made eye contact. I gestured to my hand that I wanted our bill. She walked toward our table and asked«Did you want your check!» That was Strike THREE!!! Normally I would rate the Elephant Bar with Four to Five Stars, but today they received a disappointing two stars; only because the food was tasty. I can honestly say that RayLene and Santo or Sancho blew it! If I ever return to the restaurant, I will need to do some deep soul searching. Money is too difficult to come by and having to spend money for POOR service just gets me so disillusioned about eating at a place like the Elephant Bar. Save your money and eat elsewhere if you want a good time or if you like being treated like poop by RayLene then this is the place for you…

*HAPPYHOURREVIEW* Elephant Bar’s happy hour runs 7 days a week 9 pm to close and on weekdays 3 – 7 pm too. Pretty good happy hour times if you want to save a little over the weekend when you’re eating out if you ask me. So the happy hour menu is relatively small. A little over 10 appetizers and the only entrée really would be the burger and fries which I got. They offer a combo deal with the burger, fries, and a domestic beer for 6.50 which in my book is quite a deal. If you want a craft(like a samuel adams) it’d be 7.50, and if you want an import(like stella) it’d be 8.50. I suggest you stay with a domestic or a domestic craft as the beer selection here is quite small in comparison to say, yard house. But hey, five stars for value! Now onto the food. I got a medium rare burger(CHEESEIS .75CENTSEXTRA?), fries, and a pint of samuel adams alpine springs. The burger was quite decent. Just your standard patty smothered with thousand island sauce(I think?). The patty was a little too rare imo I suggest you go medium, medium rare for burgers is a little yuck actually. The portion of fries was a somewhat pathetic but hey, what can I ask for 7.50? This was in the bar area on a slow night so, service was decent cause I was one of the only people in the area haha. So in conclusion, if it’s a weekend at night and you think there’s no happy hour anywhere else in town… well there is! It’s called da Elephant Bar. Come on in!

*Happy Hour Review Only* where can you find a good place for some libation and eats on a saturday night… on a tight budget? well, the elephant bar! i’ve heard of this place but have never been. so he decided to bring me here knowing every other restaurant in the area wont be having any specials on a saturday night. we arrived just after 9PM, and sure enough it was happy hour. we were lucky to have found two seats at this packed but chilled bar. got us a house margarita for $ 3 and a classic mojito for $ 4. for eats, we went with the vietnamese spring rolls at $ 5.50, calamari for $ 6.50 and the artichoke dip for $ 4.50. i didnt really care for the calamari which tasted like rubber but the spring rolls which comes with salad was fabulous! service was descent from the bartenders but i wish the guy who brought out our artichoke dip didnt drop half the chips on the floor by our feet… and didnt even offer to bring more out =\

Uh I think this place only exists for the atmosphere. There really isn’t a restaurant chain that has captured the jungle feel… well there’s Rainforest Café… back to my point… The food is okay. The food can be labeled as «Asian Fusion.» I don’t know, I have been here a couple of times but no yummy memory has come up to mind when thinking about this establishment. Drinks are good… yeah… that’s the only thing I can really remember. Other than that… The place is okay.
