For those that have young children in the family and still want to be able to have a sip of wine and spend family time together this is the place to go! Both indoor and outdoor seating are available. Easy parking. Nice peaceful vineyard, often hosting many events. Wedding, Birthday, Corporate parties, and how lucky we bumped into an Animal Adoption Day(dogs and cat)! This place is dog friendly as far they have leash on, our dog doesn’t have to be locked at home while we joining the sunshine and sip on wine. Cooler is not allowed. All drinks and food must be purchase from the vineyard. It’s reasonable, they gotta make money somehow right? Horse cart riding is available $ 10 per adult, $ 5 for children 5 and over, under age of 5 is free. It was like Cinderella on a wagons strolling thru the woods and enjoying the view and seeing the vines on the wine we were sipping off of. They used to have little animal petting area, it wasn’t there on the day of our visit. Prob cause it was Adopt a Dog/Cat day.

Martha Clara Vineyards… if your looking for a simple, family and friends oriented winery in the Island this will fit. It is often visited by many due to its space and location which soothe family and friends alike.

Did Martha Clara get new owners? Security at the door made us throw out our kids food because they have a food truck onsite, therefore no food at all allowed through the doors… It still has charm and a good atmosphere but this stunt left a very bad taste in my mouth. Tried to setup a mothers day trip here and they told us we had to leave a deposit and also for this kids! My kids are 1 and 3 they take up little to no space so why am I paying for the to site at a table…

Went to Martha’s this past weekend with a group of 20 And were treated poorly. Let me say we have always enjoyed this vineyard in the past but they have implemented some ridiculous rules: — corded half the room for reservations and most tables were empty all day. — asked for a table as there was plenty of room But they said they had no extras. — snarky blonde hostess was rude and unwilling to help. — used to offer decent food, now had overpriced, very poor quality food. — *** the biggest issue Is we go there to hear music and were told they will no longer have music. The wine is not good enough at this vineyard to have it be the only draw. Customer service is non existent and they have even dwindled down what used to be a lovely gift shop. Are the trying to ruin there business???

Only getting 2 because I liked it last time. Went today for a tasting — on their website it says till 6pm Sunday’s yearlong. We got there at 4:40 and the security guard told us they close at 5. The guy serving is flirting with some girls leaving and I can’t get anyone’s attention. Finally I do after they leave and I’m told they’re done serving! After waiting! They warned us they were closing at 5 why not warn they weren’t serving? Why an hour early? I just drove all the way out here!

I came here with my girls who had taken me for a bachelorette weekend. I loved the atmosphere and the friendly and knowledgeable servers. The tasting consisted of 5 pre-selected wines and my favorite was the 2012 Estate Dry Riesling(and I’m usually a red girl). Unfortunately, the weather was cloudy and rainy, but I would definitely return on a sunnier day to enjoy the grounds.

Martha Clara is one of the many nice vineyards on long island’s north fork. The tasting room is very lively with tastings if both wine and beer. There are several different barns which host private parties. There is outdoor space to play corn hole, bocce, and other lawn games. The grounds are quite scenic! There are luscious greens and beautiful horses to look at. It’s a wonderful venue for a gathering out east!

Felt like a factory. Wines are not good, staff weren’t friendly. Mostly there were just too many people here.

This winery is perfect to visit with a diverse group as it has a really large variety of wines… something for everything! They have a very large tasting room area, along with plenty of tables and chairs inside as well as outside. Kid friendly; there are animals outside to look at, along with a few games of cornhole set up outside. This place seems like it would be the perfect setting for an event like a shower or even a wedding, as there really is plenty of space. The staff all seems friendly, and the pricing here is reasonable. No outside food allowed here, but it looked like they have a decent selection of snacks by the gift shop area to munch on. This is a great place to stop on any wine tour, or even to spend the day enjoying on the weekends, as I believe they have live music at times.

This is a really large winery. There is a ton of land and it is really beautiful. I am giving this place 3 stars because the land is beautiful, but the wine was fairly tasteless honestly. My husband and I each got different tastings and just weren’t very impressed with any of the wines included in the tastings. The atmosphere of the vineyard is very fun. It is a child and dog friendly location that has animals(sheep, goats, turtles) in pens out back. There is also an area where people can play cornhole. There is an event space as well which was very pretty. There are two food trucks that were present while we were there: pizza and more summery fare. The pizza was just ok. They also have live music playing fairly frequently. This was a fun and pretty vineyard but pretty mediocre wines.

I am now probably slightly biased and writing reviews from the point of view of how child-friendly places are — oh well. Hubby and I now have a 6 mo old in tow and so researched some baby-friendly vineyards in North Fork. This place came up as having a small petting zoo, which seemed like fun. We visited on a weekday so the place was quiet and not crowded. They directed us to the petting zoo in the back which had sheep/rams, goats, alpacas, tortoises, and pigs! The kiddo seemed mildly entertained, and hubby and I were hugely entertained. One of the workers was feeding the animals(at around 3pm) and he let us take some of the feed and feed the very tame animals ourselves(from outside the pens) and even took a few family pictures for us. Hubby was driving so I ordered the Reseve Flight for myself and he just took a sip of each glass. The 2013 rose was our favorite! Great vineyard for anyone, but especially those with kids.

Our tasting with Travis was excellent(5 Stars). He was friendly and engaging and we were not able to stump him with any of our wine related questions. 1 Star, however, since we were not able to picnic as we have in the past. Seems to be a similar trend mentioned by Unilocalers. Such a large space to picnic, I think we may have seen 1 sale at the«approved» food vendor. Not a good business decision. Our tasting was essentially«free» since it was won at a raffle drawing, so we spent zero at MC. We spent our money at another local vineyard that was happy to allow us to picnic with our own food. I just read a number of other reviews and also wanted to comment on the security. We did encounter 3 – 4 security guards and we found them all to be friendly, respectful and courteous. We realize they are just enforcing the rules of their employer.

This Vineyard is huge! We went here in Wednesday evening for music, wine and food from Noah’s on the Road food truck. We played corn hole, listened to the steel pan music and just enjoyed being outside. They also have barn yard animals like sheep, goats, alpaca and water buffalo on the side and back parts of the property. No feeding though.

OMGGG!!! So I’ve heard a few people tell me about Martha Clara’s and I decided to come with me friends. It was AMAZING!!! It exceeded my expectations. They have a mini petting zoo with a few different farm animals, which was so cool! They had corn hole you could play for free, and of course outdoor seating to sip your wine. The atmosphere made it appealing to bring young children because there’s no much for them to do. The sever who did our wine tasting fleets was amazing. He gave us a really fun experience. At the end when unsure which wine we were going to get, he had us try a few different ones. He made sure we liked what we were going to buy. It was nice that they also had live music.

Bruh, I loved this place. Absolutely beautiful vineyard with great wine and good food. I mean this could just be the alcohol talking, but I literally felt euphoric as I was sipping on their summer wine and petting the extremely friendly goat they had there. Seriously the most chill goat ever. I would totally recommend this place as a stop on any wine tour. Really nice gift shop too and great for a group outing. It’s the bomb.

Love the farm there. Friendly pig petted. Staff was very friendly. Probably was short of staff so service has some delay but we were all happy at the end. Wine was quite nice and no disappointment!

The Quick: Good wine and food, very commercial vineyard with an overly loud band, farm animals, and picnic style seating. Great for families with kids, but not the prettiest vineyard nor the best deal for wine flights. The Details: It’s one of the closest on the North Fork but I prefer driving out to enjoy the day at one of the prettier vineyards(all about the photo opportunities). My favorite artist’s artwork was being featured there so I had to check it out. Her masterpieces did liven up the place a bit, but that’s the only real reason I’d return. See her work at: The Damage: The Reserve flight(the«best» and most expensive) was $ 15, while the others were $ 13. Not a bad price but a little more than some of the others. Food was about $ 13 a plate(ex: 3 sliders or 3 tacos).

Long Island wine country offers so many different wineries, but this is my favorite one! They have a couple wines that I enjoy like the Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, and the Gewürztraminer. They also make a great table white wine. The inside is large and has many tables so you can go even when it’s not as nice outside, they usually have bands also inside on the weekends. When the weather is nice, they have a large yard area with picnic tables so you can drink while soaking up the sun! They have a couple fenced in areas with pigs, goats, yaks, and llamas. So much fun to watch them! Unfortunately though, no outside food is allowed here anymore but they do offer cheese, meats, and other snacks inside.

Staff was very friendly, the place is HUGE!!! It’s kind of a one stop shop. music/concert venue, petting zoo where there are lots of animals from pigs, turtles, ram, goats, alpacas, llamas, a water buffalo, chickens. the outdoor area also has yard games like bean bag toss and lots of room for families or kids to run around and play. Food is on-site but fairly pricey. The gift shop is equally as pricey. I feel that other vineyards in the area provide more reasonably priced wines and more knowledgeable tastings, however if you are looking for a fun one stop shop day for the whole family this is easily the place to pick. Beware of the scary security guards posted at the entrance and in the parking lots advising patrons that outside food and beverages are not allowed, which is disappointing. bringing a family lunch to enjoy on the grounds or inside the concert hall would enhance a visit and the business could probably focus more attention on wine. their sales would increase. There is a private wine tasting area in a separate barn for members, looks like a great spot to taste some reds, whites, ports, blushes, etc. Additionally there is a venue next door where a wedding party was celebrating, not sure if it’s part of the property or not, but it certainly wouldn’t surprise me!!! I visited with my parents and partner on a warm summer afternoon, and wouldn’t hesitate to visit again and bring the kids along too.

Went«winery hopping» on a Sunday and this was my favorite of the few we stopped at. Live music, casual setting. Inexpensive tastings and some good wine. After the tasting, my group of four found a table in the next room where there was a live band playing. We opened up a bottle of wine we just bought and ordered some food. It was a good time. I recommend the fruit and cheese platter to share. It comes with brie cheese drizzled with honey and has apple slices and grapes on the side. Loved it. I would go back!
