Based off 1 visit. Actually would give 4.5 Stars if I could. Surprisingly very good! I had them make me a thinner version of their traditional pizza and it was very good and almost outright delicious.
Had Gardinera and roast beef as the toppings and it didn’t disappoint. It was like eating a Cheesy beef sandwich with a very mild hint of a sweeter type of tomato sauce and a delicious crust. One of the better or best Beef and Gardinera pizzas I have had.
I will push my luck next and order from them again hoping they deliver like they did tonight. Solid ZAAAA Salerno’s! Thumbs up!

I live in the area and had the worst craving for pizza and I decided to stop by. I am so glad I did. This place has some of the best pizza around in the area. I think it has the best pizza in the area. That is how good it is. It is not a fine dining area. but more like a quick bite type of restaurant where they sell huge slices of pizza. There is a counter and some tables, but not a lot. This used to be a fast food restaurant so it really isn’t for family type of dining. But if you are looking for some great pizza to either pick up a slice or to pick up or deliver, I highly highly recommend this place. I just wish more people knew about it and would give it a chance. The people who work here are very nice and polite. Right by Triton college.

Absolutely delicious!
I was driving by & wanted a quick bite. I didn’t even know this Salernos was here last I knew it was a hot dog joint! So I had to stop. Staff is incredibly kind & friendly. I sensed that the owner/​maybe manager was hanging around, I always love to see that in a restaurant.
I got the jumbo slice of sausage & tomato, which was of course delic, toasty & fresh! I like to add tabasco sauce to my pizza & (who I think may have been the owner) offered me a special hot sauce which was BBQ w/​chipotle. And it was soooooo good! At first I thought it was too sweet. But then it has a little kick to it! I really appreciated the recommendation esp since I LOVE spicy food :)
I also ordered cheese fries & it was a big portion. You can never go wrong w fries they were great!
I also loved the high top/​bar style tables & entire set up of the dining area. A little tight but it’s a small place to begin with. Doesn’t really matter to me– I’m more of a pizza critic ;)

I like the Salernos restaurant chain and was pleasantly surprised when i found out by accident that there is one right by me only 2 miles away :) yaya
Anyways their pizza was always good and this location provides the same great pizza. I also tried their fettuccini alfredo with chicken for first time which was the bomb! Haven’t had one this good in a while.
The service was great, nice and friendly people. Good amount of parking. If you going south on 5th ave its right after the street to the college. Almost missed it since i thought its a bit further down.

We ordered for delivery and the customer service over the phone was great. Pizza and fried calamari was delivered within the hour nice and hot. We used a coupon for a free app with an extra large pizza. The delivery man was also very polite and friendly. The food was amazing!!! The double dough pizza is crisp on the bottom with fluffy, saucey, cheesey, sausage, and mushroom goodness on top. The amount of calamari was large and delicious as well. We will definitely be ordering from here again!!!

They give you a substantial amount of pizza for what is considered a slice. The Chicken Focaccia is UNREAL. They demonstrate excellent capability of working with food allergies. Pasta, Pizza, and Appetizers always come out perfect. Tip: Get the Tiramisu for dessert.
