Ty and Elise were very helpful. Ty looked over the surplus rifle that I had purchased online with very little knowledge of the condition of it and let me know it was in good shape and would make a good shooter, free of charge. Elise made the transfer very easy, and even with my hectic work schedule, they made picking up my rifle very easy. I am sure I will be going back to them for all my FFL transfers and when I am ready financially to order an AR from them, which is their one of their specialties.

Small shop, will do FFL transfers cheap, and now he’s even making matched AR-​15 and AR-​10 upper and lower receivers. Only down side is hard to initially find, done out a a residential garage. Will work with you, I went there to get some AR-​15 parts that would of taken a week or more from online ordering, he had them in stock and even fixed it for me for no additional charge.

The adage says «good things come in small packages», and that couldn’t be any more true about Ty, Elise the owners, and AWS.
After becoming fed up with poor service at nearly all area gun shops, I learned of AWS through a friend and thought I’d give it a try.
From the first visit I was treated professionally, and more importantly, friendly. Both Ty and Elise are great people and genuinely nice, so you’re assured a great experience.
The shop is small but has a little of everything except apparel. Ty is a gun guy in the truest sense, make no mistake, he’s not a «gun nut», but loves firearms and has very good taste. AWS actually carry’s as much Class III and SBR inventory as regular firearms. They have the same issues as every other shop these days, getting and keeping guns n ammo in stock.
AWS is also civic minded, attending meetings on important legislation at the municipal, state, and national level. Don’t misjudge these soft spoken and well mannered folks for a librarian and school teacher, cause’ you’ll catch hell prying a gun from their cold dead fingers!
Stop in for a visit, you’ll be glad you did.

AWS is a very small shop, run by Ty and Elise Taylor. A week before moving to the area from MA, I Googled gun shops in the area and AWS looked the most with-​the-​times, so I stopped in to check it out. Ty and Elise are fantastic people who chatted with me for about an hour the first time I was there. They told be a lot about the area and we spoke on a range of topic. They’re certainly not the types to get you in, sell you something, and get you out.
Ty and Elise were very helpful in walking me through buying my first firearm. I wanted a Glock 19 Gen 4 but they didn’t have any. I called another store which I was already loyal to, just to see if they had any, and they said «It’ll be a few weeks before we get some in,» where as Ty and Elise said, «We’ll order you one and have it here early next week.» Much better answer. I payed $ 540 for my Glock, undercutting other shops in the area by a bit, and payed $ 25 each for two spare G17 mags. Their guns and limited supply of ammo are all priced well and even if I could get something cheaper or quicker elsewhere, I’ll keep buying from AWS because Ty and Elise are just the kind of people who deserve the business.
The only drawback to AWS is it’s size. The shop is so small that they just don’t have much in the way of selection to look at, and don’t have a lot of ammo on hand. Accessories are also ‘light’. Nonetheless they are able to order ANYTHING and can get it quickly and cheaply, so it’s not too much bother.
AWS makes their own AR-​15 line, which is cool, and they are able to sell NFA weapons and items if you are qualified to buy them.
I highly recommend giving AWS a shot, particularly if you have already handled the product you need elsewhere and just need to buy it.
