Best place to grab a nice dinner in Rifle.
I live in Columbus, OH, but my Mom Robin lives in Rifle. My step dad Art found this restaurant and we loved it. The food is good and service is polite.
I’d recommend the Beef Stroganoff! If I remember correctly you can get it with spaetzle which I can’t find anywhere in the huge city I live in. 5 stars for Sammy’s!
I’ll be back next time I’m in town.

The staff is pleasant, but it irritates me to see the bartender and waitresses doing shots at the bar while they are working.
The mussels were served in a white wine sauce that while tasty, only served to cover up the taste of the seafood being bad. My girlfriend and I both were sick before getting the check.
I have eaten here twice before– the steaks are ok, but not better than you can make at home. The meat is choice or select. Nothing special.
They brew their own beer, and its ok– but the food is consistently bad.

Traditional American food, it is reasonably priced and the wait staff is great. Ordered a cheeseburger and was pleasantly surprised with a perfectly cooked burger. I was even amazed that they still ask how people want their burgers cooked! My co-​workers got the steak special and they all said they were good and had lots of flavor and were well cooked.

The food here is pretty good. I’ve stayed in Rifle twice now for work and eaten at Sammy’s both times. I had a chicken dish and beef stroganoff. Both were tasty. A little pricey, but is it is the middle of nowhere. I live in San Francisco where the food is very good, so I am somewhat of a food snob. Sammy’s is A-​OK. If you’re looking for a decent meal in Rifle, I would recommend this place.

Sammy’s is just about the best restaurant in Rifle. A bit pricey, for Rifle, but not for L.A.
The prime rib on Fridays and Saturdays is good. Steaks are good. Parking is awful. Service is friendly and capable. I eat there a lot.
