Sometimes you don’t want to go where everybody knows your name. Sometimes it becomes oppressive — the history, the choking familiarity, the endlessly repeated fights. Sometimes you want to go just about anywhere else. But what choice do you have?

I went here on the blizzard day. It was warm and it’s a good, clean, comfortable neighborhood bar.

Really enjoyed it here. Had a rosemary cocktail that was very different and refreshing. Tried my friends spiced cider and was also very good. Would return.

I was so excited about this bar coming to the neighborhood because we could use some more, but after our New Year’s Eve experience… NEVERAGAIN!!! I would love to call them names for the way they treated us, but totally inappropriate! So instead I’ll just explain the horrible things they did to our group of people on New Year’s Eve. First, my husband and I put together a party at our place because the bar was just across the street, so once everyone got to our place, we went across the street to the bar. When we got there, there was barely anyone there, which surprised me since it was New Year’s Eve after all! So basically they needed us there if they wanted a decent amount of customers that night… which is supposed to be a big night! Our table was full of drinks THATWEBOUGHTATTHEIRBAR! Then a guy that works there came over to us and accused us of bringing Jäger into their bar, which meant we brought our own alcohol in because they said they didn’t serve it there, and was not the case at all! Why would we anyway with our apartment being right across the freaking street! We tried to explain this to him and he was taking care of the situation just fine when another woman(obnoxious and the worst kind of customer service I might add) made it completely worse! Then the countdown to the New Year started as my husband and his friend were arguing with the workers and trying to understand where they were coming from, since not one of us brought in Jäger! So I went back to the table and started drinking the champagne when all of a sudden the obnoxious woman came back in and decided to change her argument to I was trying to bring the alcohol outside!!! First you want to kick out basically your only customers and cause a scene because of one thing you couldn’t prove(because it didn’t happen), to trying to say I was trying to bring the alcohol outside! Funny how that’s the new argument and yet that was wrong too since I was watching the TV when I drank my glass… at that point I had had enough of their rudeness and horrible customer service that I just gave up and said sure whatever you say and dragged my husband out because it wasn’t worth it anymore at that point! No matter what they wanted to argue about(even though good customer service knows the customer is right) they were obviously going to win since it’s their place. So thanks for ruining my New Year’s! To top it all off, guess who left their debit card at the bar… MYHUSBANDBECAUSEHEBOUGHTALCOHOLTHEREAND A FRIENDOFMINEASWELL!!! My husband was too busy defending us that they weren’t even able to get their cards. Just the worst type of people and show of customer service! I can’t believe these people actually own a bar!

So where do I begin? The comfort of this place is top notch. The cocktails are great. The tap list is small, but smart. The owners and bartenders are lovely. The regulars are the nicest people ever. And the food… was great! Meatloaf sliders are absurdly good. No fuss, just great. The chef there(Dylan) is making some tasty bites. This instantly became my new favorite spot. I’m looking forward to seeing where they go next!

I’m not sure what I can add: an amazing, quaint, vibey bar to spend hours in… or at least I have each of the past 5 days. great service, good prices, better atmosphere.

‘Cute’ is the perfect word for this new bar. Cool antique furniture collected by the owners imbue a cozy feel that compel you to stay here for hours. Think fluffy socks on a grey Sunday. Why they chose ‘Bad Old Days’ remains a mystery to me. If this place evokes«bad,» then I wanna know what’s good.

Great living room vibe! This is definitely my new favorite bar in the neighborhood. The décor is amazing, love the lighting and the general vibe of the place is phenomenal. So far I’ve tried 2 of their drink specials and they were amazing. I can’t wait to see what else they come up with! Keep up the good work!

Cozy, friendly bar. Great staff, great pricing. Sonja and Rina are on the ball and bar tending pros. Both have worked upscale and very busy bars and restaurants, so they’re super capable. They don’t have food yet, but they said it’s coming by the end of the month. Should be little snacks and easy bar bites, nothing too bougie or pricy. It’s happy hour until 8 Monday through Friday, and they’re open 2– 2. Weekends they will do mimosa carafes and micheladas and other brunchy stuff!
