Spolem Cafe

I love this place. The spiced warm wine is perfect. They have an excellent range of hot beverages and liquor. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. The young lady behind the counter is friendly and attentive.

I love this little coffee spot. I’m a fan of the nutella latte… Yum! If you need a little more than just coffee, they also have liquor. The atmosphere is extremely cozy and the staff have always been very laid back.

The lattes are amazing! The girls who work there are also very nice! Great customer service :)

The few times that I have been here I left wondering why I even came in the first place. The owner is rude and always looks like he’s drunk… the prices are pretty abnoxious and the one time I came for a simple coffee… they do not serve regular coffee.
This was a while back so not sure how it is now but not sure if I want to give it another try.

Great place to kill time during the day and job hunt. Mainly empty most of the times I’ve gone (12−6pm) Nice mostly quiet atmosphere, dependent on if the server has guest come in to chat or a large group comes enters. I’ve gotten a lot of work done here. Coffee is good; they use Lavazza coffee.

I don’t feel like this place is worthy of a full-​bodied review, so below is a quick rundown of all the things that make this place meh.
* Terrible customer service. I had a cup of Italian ice in my hand when I entered this establishment and I continued eating it at the counter, while my boyfriend was ordering coffee for us. I’m a well-​mannered human being and I realize that most cafes are non-​BYOF (bring your own food). I was gonna finish eating it and throw the cup out before we have sat down. But the woman that took our order couldn’t help herself not to scold me for eating outside food on their premises.
* Mediocre drinks. Iced chai was below average, so they many use poor quality chai powder. Nutella latte was good, but it’s Nutella so yeah.
* Outdated décor. The name of this café is inspired by a store chain that was very popular in Poland, when the country was still under communist rule. I get that they might wanna channel those times, but honestly the place looks run down and simply not taken care of.

This is a great place relax on a comfortable couch or chairs and enjoy a really good coffee beverage. The Macchiato was so good here that I had to get 2. I can’t review anything about things to eat here but I will when I get back here. The service was good as well. I’m glad I finally got to try this place. Wish I did sooner because this is my favorite café to go to now. I’m glad it’s close to my home!

Great service, great food and great wifi.
Was surprised by the good coffee. I enjoyed the food; I had some bread thing and some pierogies, both vegetarian. Service was chillax. I don’t know whether it was because it was Sunday, but the place was surprisingly not crowded. I got to get a lot of work done here. Will have to come and try the shots in my coffee and the desserts!
It is right in front of the bus Q58 and not far from the subway, M line.

Agreeing with Kris S. – if you care at all about supporting good local businesses, support this one. Excellent in every respect: how the food + coffee taste (I haven’t tried its booze beverages), the vibe, the friendly service, the good value. Delightful every time of year. Breezy in the summer and cozy in the winter. Maybe its Polish roots help Spolem Café cope well with NYC’s extremes of temperature.

Nice place for hanging out with friends. Beer wine coffee snacks dessert. Good service. Wifi is good. Comfortable seating. Good layout. Polish is the main language but it’s good for all. Comfortable.

Went to this place today for the first time. I absolutely love it. The service was good, food was great and they serve Italian coffee. The place itself is very cute and cozy with dimmed lights and soft music. Definitely will be back.

At Spolom’s again trying out their «Frozen Margaritas» yes I said frozen it’s that time fokes frozen everything is now in season. Stop by and try one for yourself u won’t b disappointed. Calm atmosphere great people calm setting.

Came here with 2 coworkers for coffee after work. There was a cozy ambiance, very cute place. Nutella lattes are great– iced or hot! The waffle was not perfect but it had great toppings and went well with the drinks.

Awesome café for working on the weekends. Except the blonde waitress is really inconsiderate; blasts music, not even in English, to the point that it’s difficult to have a conversation with the person sitting next to you and leaves the door open bringing in a chilly gust to customers sitting by the door. She never greets you with a smile when bringing the menu to your table and is just unpleasant overall. Other than that, this place is excellent. The other waitress, brunette with glasses, gives off a better vibe and experience while dining here. Thank goodness for her, otherwise I wouldn’t come back.

I don’t understand why more people don’t come to this place. It’s a very short walk from the M train and by where many local banks and businesses are, even a school and a library. The vibe is very chill and warm, if you want to go on a coffee date or need to work on a paper, this place is wonderful. The server is very courteous and sweet.
I’m a big coffee drinker but not very picky about it. Last two times I’ve gotten the Nutella latte. Good midday pick-​me-​up and not pricey either. If you’re in the neighborhood and need a coffee fix, please patronize this local establishment :)

A lovely little café in ridgewood. Surrounded by restaurants, this is a great café. I got the irish coffee and its very good. im not a bit alcohol drinker, but you dont even taste the alcohol. I came ay around 3 in the afternoon on a thursday, and it was empty, sans for a couple that came afterwards. Its clean, and very welcoming. Too bad i live so far away or else i would be here all the time!

A nice place to study and chill on the weekend! Surprised to not find an overwhelming amount of people here but it had just the type of quiet/​relaxing atmosphere I was looking for to finish up some work.
Free wifi was definitely a plus. The tables are large enough to fit two people with laptops and there are outlets everywhere.
The drinks here are quite good. We had the iced coffee, nutella latte and iced cappuccino. All 3 came out to be around 15 bucks-​a bit expensive IMO.
One thing that did throw me off was the full bar service and that at one point someone was smoking inside the café even though on the door it explicitly states that smoking is not allowed. Thankfully the table was at a distance and the smoke did not reach my area.
Overall, I had a positive experience at Spolem and would recommend it if you’re in the neighborhood and looking for a quiet spot to be productive.

Really not crowded for a Sunday café. They’ve also got plugs galore!
The atmosphere is a little weird. It looks like and is decorated like a bar, but they have coffee. It’s really spacious on the inside and the music is surprisingly good. My coffee was a little strong which I usually like, but it was well made overall.
The owner was really nice and friendly and they don’t mind you just chilling out. Nice place to stop by on a lazy Sunday!

My only wish is that they carry more savory food options (I only saw ONE on the menu). I love hanging out at internet cafes, but I get hungry and I’m not always in the mood for sweets and pastries. Overall, I think this place is great and I’m happy to have it in my hood!
