This place is closed. According to the sign it is becoming a branch of Gyro World which I’m so excited about. Gyro World in Auburndale is really good.

I’m love their gyros! The other day I drove by and looks like their are either under new management or remodeling with a new name. Hopefully everything about the food stays the same.

This is my go to Greek spot in my neighborhood. If I’m not mistaken, it’s family owned and operated, so I truly feel like I’m getting authentic Greek. I almost always order the Platters option. I’ve tried all meets and Pork Souvlaki has to be my favorite. The souvlakis are juicier than the gyros, in my opinion. The onion rings here are bomb! The falafel is amazing. But what truly wins is the tzatziki sauce! It’s AMAZING and homemade. Perfect yogurt-y taste and texture. I always ask for extra.

We came here randomly because we were in the mood for some Greek food, I ordered a chicken gyro and the steak wrap. I wasn’t happy about the order at all. The chicken was very dry and the steak wrap was not worth the money because it was so small! the staff seemed pleasant and we didn’t have any issues with that. I definitely did not think the prices here are worth it.

I would give them 5 stars but the price for the gyro combo is too high and the«salad» has literally 2 pieces of lettuce. It looks like someone ate 75% of it and then delivered it to me. One time I ordered a large chicken salad thinking I would get more chicken than the small… nope, same amount of chicken but just more lettuce for $ 5 more… ummmmm is there a lettuce shortage that makes lettuce so expensive that it has to be rationed out??? Please beef up your lettuce in your«salads.» If you do then I will happily give you more stars.

The food was standard, but the cashier was rude and unprofessional. She had an attitude the entire time! Won’t be coming back.

I ordered via GrubHub, after 90 minutes I still did not receive my order… When I called Gyro Village to check on the status of my order, the guy who answered the phone was rude… He said my problem was that I made the order thru GruHub and should have call the restaurant directly. I was told I would have to wait an additional 15 to 20 minutes for delivery… This is the first and last time I would order anything from them… They did nothing to remedy the situation…

What a great local place for Greek food! We came here on a whim because the night was young and our stomachs were growling after school. The soup of the day was thick and filling. The pita slices were great in the yogurt sauce. Then, the Falalel Platter was served in very large portions. Good for a casual and inexpensive meal!

Have yet to be let down by Gyro Village. Their service is extremely consistent and the gyros are great. For around six dollars, this is an extremely filling meal. Their french fries are also very good. Great place to sit and watch a few minutes of basketball while you enjoy your meal. They also serve hamburgers, salads and falafel.

First time having a gyro in queens and let me tell you this is the spot. Passing by you wouldn’t know it’s so great but sometimes big things comes in small packages. Lamb gyro was juicy I got everything on it and they were all so nice to me. As Arnold says«I’ll be back»

I’d give Gyro Village a 2 star rating, but for the fact that their falafel sandwich has always been tasty, along with their more American foods. The gyros, while I’ve never been thrilled about them, are better than you could really get from a halal foodcart. I would recommend the falafel, along with their burgers and fries. Also, the baklava is always a good choice. I would avoid the rice pudding though. It won’t make you sick, however it’s not so flavorful.

Chicken Bacon Souvlaki Platter… great! It was tender and succulent. The staff is also pleasant. We made the mistake of walking straight up to the line to order, not noticing the waiter service. After the misunderstanding due to our part, the staff was pleasant to take our food out of the to-go containers and wait on us. Good food, good nice people.

I remember how excited I was when this place first opened up and I swam in visions of myself enjoying gyro after gyro! Happily enough, that has come true! I have been coming here with my boyfriend for awhile now and this is one of my favorite spots in Ridgewood. My favorite Greek food is either a beef/lamb or pork gyro. Gyro Village actually makes amazing gyros that are always delicious and fresh. I have come to usually order extra sauce but mind out, the first time I ordered extra sauce the cashier didn’t tell me it cost extra until after she had rung me up. It’s a small price but going forward I’ve learned to be weary about possible extra charges. My boyfriend usually orders a cheeseburger deluxe with onion rings, no matter how much I used to try to convince him to try other items on the menu — which is ironic since I have only had their gyros and onion rings! They’re delicious, according to him, and the onion rings are really great. The ambiance of the place is alright and is usually quiet and never terribly crowded. The service is quite good at almost any time of the day, which is why this place earns a couple extra stars. I usually go around the early afternoon and recently I went to pick up food late at night and they were very fast. I would actually like to note that since I had to wait a man, who I’m assuming is the manager, immediately offered for me to sit down and once the food was ready he told me to take my time in a very polite manner. Actually the whole staff seems to be pretty polite. Pretty happy with this place and glad that it opened up here since there aren’t a lot of great places to eat in Ridgewood!(Sorry people of Queens!)

Ridgewood badly needed a place like this. No frills Greek fast food joint but also has burgers and such. Fast service(only have eaten in), fresh food and the lamb/beef gyro meat is to die for. Perfect amount of fattiness :-) I like that they have chicken, pork and beef/lamb gyros. I recommend the gyro wraps with fries inside(.75 extra). Huge and will make you full, great bang for your buck. Falafel is ehh as well as their Tzatziki sauce. But why order that when you can get a gyro?

I’ve only had good experiences here and I’m glad it diversifies the neighborhood a little bit as far as cuisine goes. I’ve never had an order delivered, so I cannot attest to that. But each time I go in to order food its done promptly. Gyros are great, Greek salads are large and filling, and Greek wraps have been tasty. Overall, pretty happy with this place.

I think GyroVille will be my new Gyro spot in the future. They put a really good amount of meat and toppings on your sandwich and the meat is delicious. Very juicy and seasoned perfectly. It’s just a really good gyro that doesn’t disappoint at all. The Tzatziki sauce is top notch as well. One of the best I’ve tasted. The restaurant is really clean and the food just smells so good when you get there. I only took out my order but I would not have a problem with having my meal here at all. Staff is very friendly and have no problem answering your questions about the menu.

Finally something on Fresh Pond Road other than delis. Like other local reviewers, me and the boyfriend had been waiting months for this place to open. Mostly we get take-out, but it’s not too bad to dine-in either. The staff is super-duper nice. They only have one full vegetarian style dish, but let’s be honest. They’re not catering to vegetarians. They make Greek-style gyros. They do get cool bonus points for having Tzatziki sauce on the side. Oh, and lemon potatoes. You can’t have a Greek take-out place that doesn’t have lemon potatoes.
