Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ridgeland – Jackson North Area

The room was a little older and tired — but very clean. Bed was very comfortable — but pillows were too stuffed. Rooms were quiet — I think because it was a Monday. Heard a train adjacent to the hotel at 6:30 a.m. HDTV — great TV. The price was right so it gets 4 stars.

Just checked in. Courteous front desk. Room is fairly big, perfect for my family.
Breakfast is basic but ok and included in room rates. Fairly quiet hotel consisting mainly of business people. All in all clean and value for money.
I would certainly stay again if i come back to this area.

Room cleaning service was inconsistent. The complimentary items were not replaced with new ones once the cleaning agent threw them away. Upon arrival, there were items of trash found in various places of the room from the last guest. The restroom was not cleaned its greatest extent (there was a pubic hair found on the underside of the toilet on the first day, it was never cleaned up). I literally had to clean the rest room myself. I had to retrieve additional bedding for the sofa bed and extra towels and pillows on both nights of my stay.
Front desk staff were aloof. No greeting upon entering or exiting the building. Some staff were eating with my family during breakfast! I coukd tell this was not protocol due to tge person continuosly looking over her shoulder. I was charged a different amount for my room upon check out and had to continuosly call to have the issue rectified on my six-​hour drive back home. This was the first time I have been disappointed by the company to this capacity however, my stay had such a lasting impression that I know I will never return to this establishment.

This hotel is a nice location. Not too far from Target and the local mall. It is situated just off the highway, so you can get where you’re headed quickly.
There are some nice amenities at this location. The business center has more than one computer, so no one hovers while you are checking your e-​mail. There were small bottled water and soda when we checked in. There was also a fruit bowl with apples and oranges. The free breakfast buffet floored me when I saw that it included both healthy and traditional offerings. They had Chobani yogurt. That was really speaking to me folks.
This location appears to have been recently remodeled as it has fresh carpet and wallpaper. They were also remodeling the cardio room, but the equipment appeared to be up-​to-​date (it was a short stay and I didn’t use it).
The staff was REALLY nice. Their courteousness was truly impressive.
For the price, I got a tad more than I expected. I would stay here again.
