Dante’s Pizza & Restaurant

My favorite Italian take out in the area. Try the linguine with white clam sauce — to die for!
Also very good — Penne with Broccoli, Garlic and Oil, mussels. Lea salad is good but a little on the chintzy side for the price

Awesome does not even bring to describe Dante’s. I am from Pittsburgh here for The tristate walk of hope. After having a long ride and making many circles I finally arrived at my hotel. Bring hungry (As my wife would say I always am) I used Google to find somewhere to eat. A long list of places popped up. I decide on pizza and looking for the closes place i could find. Not wanted to really be in the car. Dante’s was the closes and i set my gps to find it. Only a 4 min drive from my hotel. I went in and could tell right away it was a family business. After ordering and walking around for a little bit I went back to wait for my pizza. While waiting I started talk to a worker from Dante’s and we got to talking about Pittsburg. The pizza was amazing and they even helped with plates and napkins and a liter of coke on the house. These people are wonderful people and I will be back whenever I am in the area. Everyone needs to try Dante’s. Thanks for great food and great hospitality from a couple from the burgh.

I gave Dante’s two stars for two reasons: 1. When I ordered for delivery I was told very clearly that delivery would be in 40 minutes. The actual delivery time was 75 minutes! 2. The pizza was cold and the shrimp parmigiana hero had 4 shrimps for the entire foot long bun. Very frustrating. Will try somewhere else next time. But the way, the location is less than 10 minutes away.

I ordered from Dante’s for the first (and certainly not the last) time last night. I’ll start out by saying the food arrived in a timely manner and it was still hot — I saw a few comments from other Unilocalers that their food arrived cold. Ours was perfect.
Now on to the actual food: Cavatelli w/​broccoli and chicken, angel hair primavera, chicken francese w/​penne and a chicken cutlet sandwich. We were very happy with our food! My mom loves pasta primavera but it’s very hard to find someone who prepares it the way she likes it. Most restaurants make it with either a tomato sauce or a cream sauce but traditionally, it’s made with a «pink» sauce (tomato with a touch of cream.) I called Dante’s and asked if they could prepare the sauce the way my mother likes it and they did it to perfection! It’s the best primavera she’s had in years! My cavatelli was delicious. My son devoured his chicken francese and the tomato sauce on the penne was very good. My husband also said his chicken cutlet sandwich was very good.
We will definitely be ordering from here again soon! I’m eager to try some of their other dishes. Thumbs up Dante’s!

Do you enjoy your pizza ice cold? If so, then this is the place to go. I ordered a margherita pie during the afternoon and the pizza took a hour and a half to arrive. I called the owner to ask if the pizza was on the way and he was extremely rude for no reason, seeming frustrated that I even called to ask. He said the delivery guy had already left. Finally, after 30 minutes of more waiting the pizza arrived and it was cold. This is unacceptable, especially since the pizza place is less than 5 minutes from my home. Worst experience ever.

Order food to feed about 90 people for my son’s 1^st birthday party. We had chicken, sausage & peppers, penne, chicken fingers & French fries and salad.
Dan and his crew delivered the food on time. The guests all enjoyed his food and all said that it was very good.
Will use Dante’s Pizza again for our next party !!

Their food got me sick never again I ordered a pizza pie and the cheese was so sloppy it literally fell while I picked up the slice !

Good food, first time buying food here… chicken parm… not too shabby sauce yummy… too bad bread was a little too crispy but still good.

Today was my first time attempting to order from there and I was told that they were too busy to make what I asked for, veggie pizza. Ordered from Taste of Tuscany in Hackensack instead — further drive for me but great food and always accommodating. It’s a shame that my first and only experience with Dante’s was so poor.

I was a fan of Dante’s but my last visit, the service was not great. There was a major problem with my order, considering I drove 30 minutes out of my way to visit there restaurant. I asked for a Manager, and the Manager was not around. Will I go out of my way to order from Dante’s not at all. Would I recommend them to a friend, not at all.
I hope for future customers they get there act together. I was turned off by the service, and the lack of care they have for customers.

The food was awesome from here! I ordered from Grubhub for delivery service. They called as soon as I placed the order to confirm special requests, and they were very pleasant on the phone. The delivery was fairly quick, and the delivery guy was very nice. I ordered fried calamari, mussels, garlic bread (which was awesomeeeeee) and a few other things. I will definitely order from here again.
Ok here’s my update… I had to remove a star because of how terrible the chocolate cake was. We ordered two pieces (totally not worth $ 4.50 a slice for the size, and definitely not for the taste) it was horrible. We actually took one bite, and through the rest in the garbage. Definitely don’t order this. Seemed as if it was frozen for a long time, and then put into a refrigerator. Either the cake was outdated, or it was really that bad! I’d never complain about money, but what a waste of $ 9.

I’ve been going to Dantes since the first day they opened and their pizza is so good it reminds of Brooklyn pizza where I grew up, but if you’re in the mood for more then pizza then you have to try their chicken Parmesan dinner best home made marinara sauce you’ll ever taste with a side penne vodka sauce.

Amazing food! Just got this yummy Seafood Salad (made fresh when I ordered). It is to die for!

We recently moved to Ridgefield Park, and let me tell you, it was such a relief to find Dante’s! The pizza… so good it’s basically New York pizza (and I don’t say that often). Very good quality food, including the wings, for such an affordable price. You won’t be disappointed!

I was looking for a great place for some Chicken francese and I saw Dante’s on Grubhub. I said why not. I ordered it with rice but got spaghetti with red sauce. I’m not big on red sauce because I get heartburn. Besides the mistake they made the food I give 2 thumbs up. I even tried the spaghetti, taking that risk and I was shocked that I was able to eat it. I will recommend to friends.

I recently moved to ridgefield park and Dante’s was the first place I ordered from, since then I’m hooked. The food is tasty, fresh and they deliver as promised. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner yesterday while I stopped in to pick up dinner, he is very pleasant and you can tell that he is very passionate about his business. So happy to have Dante’s in my town ! The Garcia Family

The specials change daily, and are always spectacular.

I have been here a few times and I must say the food is great! My favorite dish is penne a la vodka with chicken cutlet! I would definitely recommend.

I used to order from here once or twice a week for a long time. I stopped because of poor quality, wrong orders, never having soda or bringing whatever drinks they felt like etc. They also never took credit cards but i noticed that EAT24 started offering online ordering so i thought I would give them another try.
A few weeks ago i placed an order only to get notified almost an hour later they were ’ closing early ’ and they would not be delivering. Then tonight AGAIN. Order was confirmed at 818pm on a Saturday night. Not just before they close. What a bunch of bs.
Once is bad enough but twice is unexcusable. Dantes has little real competition so they keep getting customers. I know neighbors of mine have also switched to other pizzeria’s and i will go back to a competitor.
Eat24 has also lost my business now everywhere based on principal. If they choose to represent places like this i will not use their services anywhere. I’ll call to order if they are the online service just so they do not get a penny from me.
If you check my reviews you will not see one like this as i do not like bashing establishments but I feel this one is truly deserved. Maybe it will wake Danny (owner) up bit but I doubt it. Bad food and lousy service because of arrogance is what they are about.

Sorry i cannot comment on the food, I didn’t get the chance to try it.
I placed my order with GrubHub, I was charged then get this email 15 minutes later…
«Hey there,
Sorry to say it, but we have some bad news — we had to cancel your order and refund your money.
The restaurant is short a driver and can’t make the delivery.
Your monies will be back in your account as soon as your bank makes it happen (no more than 3 – 5 days).»
Needless to say, I will not be ordering from them again.
