Do not go here! I’ve been getting laser tattoo removal for four years on two half sleeves. This company doesn’t know what they are doing! In the two years I went there they had a high turnover rate 5 different laser technicians for the 8 – 10 treatments I received is ridiculous & doesn’t instill trust in a company. One technician over treated me & she was scared of the sounds the laser made & would jump every time it hit white ink & made a popping sound. They kept increasing the intensity of the laser (which not only hurt like hell & had me driving home sobbing) but their process caused damage to my skin that I’m not sure is going to be able to be reversed. The owner offered promotions that if you referred someone you would receive a free treatment but I referred two people & he then changed it to, well your tattoo is so large, we will just give you a $ 150 credit towards the next package you buy. I spent over $ 4,000 there in two years just to get damaged skin. Huge blisters that took two weeks to fully heal.
I’ve switched to invisible ink tattoo removal & my healing time is cut down to 3 – 4 days. The pain is much less, the lasers are more effective, & they sold me a package which guaranteed they could get my tattoo gone in 6 treatments & if not they would treat me for free until it was! They provide me with excellent post treatment healing instructions & even have a 24 hour number to text photos or questions to if concerned.
Do not go to Zapatat, they can’t answer questions behind the science of their lasers & don’t refer to a medical advisor when unsure of things.
In short, they will butcher your skin and actually cause the tattoo to darken.

I’m giving two stars because Zapatat did a decent job on the first 11 treatments — the 11 quoted treatments which I was responsible for paying.
After the quoted treatments, subsequent treatments are supposed to be free. I had one free treatment back in November 2014 and since then have tried numerous times via phone and email to get in touch with this location to schedule another treatment and have heard nada. No answer to the phone at all and zero response to my numerous emails. Highly disappointing — once you go through their quoted treatment, do not expect quality service for the free treatments.

I had a great experience at Zapatat Richmond! I had a bad experience at the last tattoo removal clinic I went to in February so I was very pleased when I found out there was a Zapatat opening in Richmond. I actually called a few times to (re)schedule my appointment, at one time I tried scheduling an appointment online, then called to confirm that but instead had to reschedule since the appt I tried to make online didn’t work. I showed up and they didn’t have knowledge of the appointment. I had to wait for almost an hour to be seen, but I was thankful that I was able to get in, especially since I travelled fairly far.
The facility was very clean and the room the lasering is done in looks like something you’d find in a medical clinic. It’s very clean and sterile.
Called to check on me the following day :)

Nadia is sweet, professional, and quick. Everything you would want in a technician that’s zapping you with a painful laser. They offer military discounts. The place is clean, comfy, and pretty modern. Again everything you’d want to see in a place that removes tattoos. It’s located on Short Pump which can be a bit of a drive for some but totally worth it if you have ink you want to get rid of.

I have used this place twice! It’s a rip off. The girls there especially Russian one is very pleasant but the other is rude and condescending. The prices are so high it is insane! They can set the laser to get less results so you have to come back more. I visited rethink your ink now Atlantic laser and got amazing results! No frills operation but the prices are insane !! Not a big chain and individual family man. Great environment and much less formal more private. Don’t get ripped off anymore!

Please visit Zapatat. It is a new business and their customer service has made great strives in improving beyond what it was previously. I can say they offer a hard to come by service (tattoo removal) in a very niche market. Give them a try.
