Found this place back when they were at their other location in the parking lot of a restaurant. Came here frequently, but then one day came to find an empty lot. I was disheartened. My favorite taco truck had left without saying god bye and I was forced to scour the Richmond area for a new truck. I spent a few weeks around trying different trucks and found some ones that I liked, but none that were as good as Grullense #1. I had given up hope. Looked like I’d be driving out to Oakland for some quality truck food. Then as I was driving through San Pablo I come across a familiar sight. The large red lettering of my lost friend. My friend and I instantly pulled over. Pulled out all the cash we could scrounge in the car, $ 16. Without hesitating we order 15 tacos de asada and I hesitate as I glance over the menu. CHORIZO. I had to try it. The deliciousness of the asada with their green or red sauce. Delicious. The fact that they still sell tacos for $ 1, the BESTDEALEVER. While inhaling our tacos, we talked to one of the cooks. He told us about how they were kicked off their previous lot because of an owner change. But he assured us their new location will be good for a long time, they have a contract with the shop the lot belongs to. My heart is happy once again.

This taco truck is located in the parking lot of the old Gonzales Mexican Restaurant. They have a couple of tables and chairs out there so you can dine al fresca or take it to go. Tacos aren’t bad, not great tho.
