My husband and I came here for dinner. It wasn’t too busy, maybe 3 or 4 other tables, but our waitress was the only one waiting tables. She seem flustered the whole time, even after it was down to us and 1 other group. We both got Phở and summer rolls. The rolls were supposed to be an appetizers but came out after we had already started eating our Phở. When our Phở came we didn’t have any condiments or utensils and had to wait before we could start. The summer rolls were OK, satisfying but nothing to write home about. The Phở had a greasy layer on the top and you could taste that grease in each bite/sip. To top it off, the bill came. Usually our bill is $ 25 or less at any other Phở place(we always get the same thing), they charged $ 37… seriously too much for Phở. Maybe their specialty is not Phở, they do have a lot of offerings I don’t usually see at Vietnamese restaurants, however, I don’t think we will be back to try those other items out.

I went in on a Monday night, with 2 sick kids and 2 well kids. The place had only two only patrons in it and the parking was a bit odd upon first impression. However we are we’re pleasantly surprised at the attention we received along with the most flavorful Phở we have had since I left California! The fries rice was amazing– we ordered 2 kids fried rice, one with shrimp, one without any meat, my two boys both got kid sized phở, and I requested a special phở with just veggies and spring rolls! All fantastic! We will definitely make plans to drive the 15 minute drive to visit Stevens again!

I picked up some take-out for lunch here one day. I got the beef phở and a grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich. To be fair, I had extremely low expectations. The restaurant looks pretty rough from the outside, and we are out in Richmond. Hardly a hotbed of fine or ethnic dining. The sandwich was pretty great, though next time I’ll ask for jalapenos. The French bread was really crusty and wonderful, and the pork was well cooked and seasoned. The phở was also surprising, but not as great. The broth was decent, but a little lackluster. Be forewarned: the broth comes in a separate container from most of the ingredients, and they put the meat, raw, in a different takeout container. I was glad I went back to my office to eat and didn’t run errands, or the broth would have cooled too much to cook the meat properly. Also, I was watching a video seminar about gunshot wounds and would have probably preferred not to have to touch raw meat at that exact moment. That said, the staff were friendly and professional, and I’m sure if I asked them next time they would put the meat in with the broth for me. Overall probably someplace I’ll hit up with a decent amount of frequency for lunch.

Y’all I really wanted to like this place. Like really, I did, but everything was mediocre at best. Bf and I stopped here after running errands in Rosenberg, and we decided to support a local Vietnamese restaurant(it was here or kfc). I ordered a kid’s phở, a xiu mai banh mi(viet meatball sandwich), and bf ordered a fish plate. First off, the food took FOREVER and a couple that came in after us got their food before us(must have been appetizers but it’s not like our food is that time consuming to make). Turns out, they ran out of tartar sauce for the fish plate so the cook was making us homemade tartar sauce, and the server brought all our food out all at once. Here’s the problem with this, as I appreciate the cook going out of the way to make us fresh tartar sauce, the server could have informed us and I would’ve told him to go ahead and bring out what was ready. By the time the tartar sauce was ready and all the food was brought out, everything was cold AND they gave me the wrong sandwich! -.- I had half a mind to send the sandwich back and get the one I ordered but I was hungry and they would’ve taken forever so I settled with my cold WRONG sandwich and lukewarm phở. The phở was edible but I didn’t have very high expectations, the grilled pork sandwich was not good and the meat was hard, and the only thing my boyfriend and I could agree wasn’t bad is probably the catfish, but the fries were cold. I can’t exactly elaborate on the service because well, I feel like we didn’t really get any. This establishment is all over the place and unorganized. I tried guys, really I did.

I eat here often for lunch since I work nearby. They never disappoint with their food or their customer service. I thoroughly enjoy having lunch here either by myself or with coworkers. Sometimes I’ll take the food to go for dinner. Their food is also healthy compared to many of the restaurants in the area. I usually get their vermicelli combo; their egg rolls are delicious and their phở is big but good. Their fish baskets are tasty and their rice dishes are also good. A staple lunch spot for Richmond!

Terrible food! I regret that I spent $ 30 for the terrible food. The phở beef was over cooked then the waitress forgot the vegetables! My son had a hush puppies that is under cooked. I ordered boneless pork chop but I got more bones than meat. Not to mention the ladies room is not clean. After paying our waitress forgot my card at the counter that we have to find. She did not even say sorry! This place is a mess!

This is a great restaurant. The service was great, servers were nice and helpful. Our server offered us suggestions because this was the first time we’d been there. The owner even came by and asked how we were doing. I will be going back.

The char-grilled chocked was really good. My order also had egg rolls in the bowl with rice vermicelli noodles and salad. The egg rolls were also very good. I had plenty to eat for the price. The parking lot is a little small since the restaurant is in a triangle shaped wedge. The staff was very attentive.

Great tasting phở and the Steven tea apple tasted just a like a jolly rancher. The phở broth was perfect not too sweet, no metallic taste like some low end phở places do, and perfect size. Fair price. The menu also has some interesting possibilities. I will have to adventure next time… Which will happen

Another tip to Unilocal for stirring up my curiosity about this place… After reading all the positive reviews about Stevan’s I bookmarked this place as one of the restaurants I wanted to try. After a disappointing turn at this other place in my neighborhood, I made the less than 10 minute trip to Stevan’s which is located in Rosenberg off of Hwy 90… which is actually Jackson Street. Plenty of parking, I walked in and was greeted and seated right away. The service was really good! And the server who waited on me was very nice and pleasant! All servers were very attentive and the lunch hour was fairly hopping! It seemed like there were a lot of locals there! I ordered a large bowl of Phở with beef & brisket and I was really impressed with the taste of the broth! Very suttle and with a great flavor… it was enhanced with the mint leaves, lime and bean sprouts that they bring out with it. That was all fresh and very good! I never thought of Rosenberg as being a place where you could get a decent bowl of Phở but was pleasantly surprised by my experience here! I also watched some combo rice platters being served to others and from all appearances, they seemed very generous with their portions! This is as described in most reviews… a Phở and seafood restaurant that’s really good and I definitely plan to come back to try some of the other offerings! All in all a pretty good experience and spot on based on the Unilocal reviews I read. I’d say definitely check it out if you are ever in the Richmond/Rosenberg area! I normally have been going to Phở Ben on Hwy 6 whenever I’m in the mood for Phở but now that I know of this place, it’s nice to know I have a choice if I don’t feel like driving in as far. The owner I think, was walking around making sure everyone was ok and as I was leaving he thanked me for my business with a smile and wished me a nice day! Friendly people… great food and a good location! Plenty of seating and a nice ambience inside with plenty of places to park outside! I’ll be back!

I love Steven! He rocks my socks. There is a nice family feel in this family owned restaurant. The phở is good but my favorite little secret of Stevan’s Phở is Steven’s tea! I got the mango and forever changed my life. You purchase the Mason jar the first time but just bring it back for a refill at discounted price! I gotta try em all!

Ok, I just ate here and yes, the food is great. But, best of all, the owner Steven really cares about his restaurant and his customers. You can really tell that he is passionate about his food. We had such a pleasant dining experience. Highly recommend!!!

Came by for a quick lunch near the county clerks office to get our marriage license and we just Unilocaled a nearby eatery. The mister wanted phở so there we went. There’s a rustic and homey feeling to the restaurant. Great for groups. They had a dessert display but it was kind of empty when we came on a Friday. I ordered the phở with meatballs and brisket. It was delicious! I thought the soup was flavorful. I must have gotten a good batch! The brisket was soft and just punched with flavor. I did want soft tendon with my phở but they were out.(Sad face). The mister got the combo that had a bit of everything and he enjoyed his too. I normally don’t drink the broth at phở joints because they usually all taste the same with the generic chicken broth but I scarfed mine! I also ordered stevan tea which is green and sweet. Had the flavor of green jolly rancher but some watermelon juice and mint. I did end up taking most of my drink to go and stevan even packed it to up for me. Stevan would visit the tables and ask how everything was which was nice. Definitely made you feel welcome. If I am ever in the area, I’d come by get my phở craving satisfied and a cheap lunch. $ 20 for the both of us.

The phở was good and so were the spring roll, but my mom got the lemongrass beef plate and we were shocked by the portion of meat she was given. We were the only ones there at 11 am and they literally gave her sparse, thin bits of beef. I mean for the price of the dish, you would at least expect better quality or a bit more. It just seemed half assed and sad. She said the dish was not that great but the egg rolls were good. It was really disappointing because I recommended the place because the great reviews. Stick with the phở and spring rolls. Also. just something I noticed, the server had on the counter all the condiments and were emptying the old bottles into newer ones. Not cool. Think about it. C’mon, just trash the old bottles.

Tonight was our very first visit to Stevan’s and all I can say is dang it why didn’t we go sooner! Where to start… The owner Steve came out to greet us personally, wouldn’t hear it when my 8&9 year old ordered chicken nuggets and talked them into trying something new. My 9 year old ate her RP6 like it was her last meal. From that to the amazing fresh veggies, clean healthy meals, simply amazing tea and the super moist cake balls that Steve’s wife makes fresh daily and the friendly staff this place was simply outstanding. We will for sure be repeat customers!
