I’ve been here twice and not all that impressed. The first time I had fried chicken, Mac n Cheese, and collard greens. The chicken was prepared as I waited, so it was nice and hot. However, it was also pretty tasteless. The mac, greens, and even the cornbread were also pretty bland. I gave them a pass because this was during the floods and they had been delivering food all over the area to flood– displaced people. I chalked it up as an off day. That was two weeks ago. I returned today for lunch and went with the smothered pork chops and same sides as before. The pork chops were quite tasty. Everything else was bland again. The mac and cheese was dry and crumbly and… yea…no.
Something just won’t let me write this place off though! I want it to be good. I’ll probably come back for some etouffe and will write a new review then.

Ordered ox tail and it was great. So I went again the next month and order ox tail again. It was edible… nothing exciting about it. Saw them at the Greatwood event and had the chicken po boy. Chicken was raw! Not coming here again.

My wife and I have lived fairly close to M&M for the past year, but had only found this hidden treasure a few weeks back. The food is AMAZING and the owners are extremely personable! We’ve had the fried catfish and seasoned fries, breakfast bowl with grits, bacon/eggs along with a couple of our absolute favorites… the Ox Tails and Ribs!!! I would order anything I’ve had here again, but the Ox Tails and Ribs are the BOMB!
If you’ve been, get here quick… You will be glad you did!

Do not let the location fool you. This is a place you must try! The food is phenomenal. Everything is made from scratch from family recipes. They were even do kind to let me sample a few things. The customer service is spectacular. Just the greeting alone made us feel welcome. This place is a must try. We’ll be back soon!

Found this little gem thanks to Unilocal!
After chatting with a local, I learned this place took over the old Popeye’s. There isn’t a standalone billboard for this place, so just look for the Shell gas station and you’ll find it inside the quik mart.
I ordered the catfish po boy, which can be cooked 3 ways. I chose blackened. It also comes with 2 sides and there’s a lot to choose from.
I found the sandwich and the sides to be big portioned, so if you’re a smaller eater be prepared to have leftovers! The catfish was cooked well and was not dry. It had good flavor, too. For sides, the jalapeño cole slaw is refreshing; not the creamy type as the jalapeño gives it a more pickled taste and a small kick. The bourbon candied yams were the bomb dot com; get those if you want a filling side!
Prices are good, and they are adamant about their catering business so they’re a great option if you’re looking for some hearty fare to serve at parties.

Food was great.
Only problem was finding the location; turns out they’re located inside a gas station but don’t let that discourage you from trying their food.
The blackened fish, collard greens, and jalapeño cole slaw were delicious. My husband’a favorite was the BBQ.

Great little hole in the wall. My wife and I love trying new places. Heard about them on the news one night and been wanting to try. This place is inside a Shell gas station. So seating is very limited.
We both order smoother Pork, the guy serving is extremely nice and very kind. Food was amazing they give you a lot of food for a good low price. We really enjoyed the food. Just the seating was limited 4 tables and 8 chairs.
