I gave one star only because I had to in order to write a review. I would give this location zero stars and am contemplating calling their corporate to complain. I had lunch at this hell hole today and had by far the very worst dining experience I’ve ever had. For starters, the service was terrible. The worst part was that my cheeseburger tasted like FISH. CHEESEBURGERSARENOTSUPPOSEDTOTASTELIKEFISH. Rushed home concerned I was going to be sick. DONOTGOTOTHISPLACE. ITNEEDSTOBESHUTDOWN.

well i had to try to it, although i knew it would be bad. i got the spicy jalapeño burger with fries and garden bar add on garden bar– really NOT impressive, many of the greens looked wilted. the quality of the vegetables was also pretty sub standard. nothing like what i even see at old country buffet or ponderosa(when they were around) the burger– terrible, it was dry and the jalapenos were not fresh but were fried/battered and soft/slimy. i scraped it off. the bun was supposed to be ‘pretzel’. tbh, the pretzel burger at wendy’s is better fries –great cheese bread bites-the best part of the meal, imho service-ok. they didn’t bring me any more of the cheese bread. that was a pitiful shame. that was the only real tasty thing i had that day parking-ample price-too high for what i got. i paid sixteen bucks which is ridiculous.

ugh man i really hate to give this place a bad review because one of the male servers, he’s an older gentleman, is sooooooo nice… but the food is so nasty… no reason to come here except to request that particular server and tip him really well

Ruby Tuesday is decent to the untrained eye. However, if you want the inside scoop on why it’s not quite so stellar, read on: I know quite a bit about the internal operations of RT since I used to work for them(no hard feelings against them, just sharing what I know with you). A while back they had pretty awful drops in revenues due to lost customers, so to bring back customers, they started giving out BOGO coupons. Well, that brought customers back, though not revenues since profits per meal were low and alcohol sales didn’t make up for it. Sooooo… change of plans, they started marketing themselves as «upscale casual», removing the BOGO coupons and charging more for meals. It worked to a certain extent, though they started losing customers again. Fast forward to today, and they’re regularly issuing«buy one, get one entrée ½ off» coupons, though at the newer(higher) prices. The key point here is: THEQUALITYOFFOODNEVERCHANGED. All the changes in prices were artificial and in no way representative of actual improvements in food quality, and actually represented a DROP in value for your money. So now for my recent experience: I’ve gone to about 10 different Ruby Tuesdays locations in my life(and worked in 2 of them), and I have to say this one is pretty par for the course. Service is reasonably good, though it tends to be inconsistent. On this particular occasion, our server disappeared several times when we needed refills and didn’t think to offer us biscuits until I specifically requested them. Not impressed. Food quality is middling(though the sauces are good), and you have a 50⁄50 shot of your food being undercooked(trust me, I’ve seen the back-of-house training, you’re lucky if the food manager and kitchen staff even understand each other, let alone get your food the way you want it). Value is awful: they changed the plates/dishes to appear to be providing more food, while portions actually either stayed the same size or were reduced(depending on the plate in question). This is especially true of the oddly-shaped pasta dishes, and while a Chicken Parmesan Pasta USED to be quite filling, it’s now barely enough to qualify as a meal. Even with the coupons they email all the time, it’s still not worth it. Didn’t order alcohol this time, though the drinks here tend to be fairly good with good value. In summary, as much as it pains me to say so, if you’re looking for casual dining with good value, Friday’s is your best option, and Ruby Tuesdays ranks as one of the worst. If you have no other local choices, it’ll work, though at least in the Richmond area, you shouldn’t waste your time or money. Overall: 2.0 stars — — — Pros: — Food can be good, and the sauces they use are excellent. — Alcoholic drinks are pretty decent and tend to give pretty good value compared to other establishments. — Cleanliness usually good. Cons: — EXTREMELY poor value for your money, even with coupons. — Service is inconsistent, and was unsatisfactory on this trip. — If your food requires a specific level of cooking(i.e. burgers, steaks, etc.), give it up. — They have effectively streamlined their methods of screwing you out of a good meal. It’s about as opposite of the restaurant ideal as it can be in that regard.

How this place is still open is beyond me but that’s another question for another day. My boyfriend and I went around 5:30−6ish on a Thursday night, and the restaurant was nearly empty. The décor and furnishing also looked to be in poorer shape than that of other Ruby Tuesdays I’ve visited. The service was not very good as she did not refill beverages or check on us often at all except at the end to ask if we wanted something else. I got the Rubys Minis and the salad bar. Salad bar was not as good as it has been in the past and what happened to feta cheese on the bar? I was a little disappointed there. My minis were just okay, they were lukewarm. The fries were awful as they were overcooked and dried out, had to smother them in ketchup to keep from choking on them. Sad because this was one of my favorite restaurants back at home, but it is definitely on my «bad list» for Richmond.

Had lunch here last weekend. I had the soup and garden bar. The chicken noodle soup was good, and didn’t seem canned. It was very flavorful and well spiced. The garden bar is the usual RT garden bar, but the one further west has more choices. My husband loves the cottage cheese on the salad bar, and this one did not have it. Our waiter was a little awkward but was attentive and got the food out quickly and refilled the drinks promptly. Will go back.

Though it doesn’t totally count as a late night establishment, I consider it in my list of possibilities if I miss the 10PM cut-off at Chipotle on a Friday or Saturday night, as they’re open until midnight. The bar shuts down early(not because you can’t drink there – it just seems to shut down early). No patrons, not much lighting, and no bartender(unless someone shows up). The low carb options are the awesome. There’s the big ol’ salad bar, which is great, but what I really like are the sides. Spaghetti squash? Mashed cauliflower? Where else are you going to get that? The servers are nice, too.

I didn’t even get a chance to eat. I had a red white and blue daiquiri, which was pretty tasty. As our food was being brought out, a large roach ran towards the kitchen. We decided to skip dinner and told the waiter to make a u-turn and take the food back. The waiter understood and went to get the manager. The first thing the manager said was«we don’t have roaches». Really sir? Meanwhile, another table is causing quite the scene about the roach because they saw it too. The manager’s attitude was not very accommodating and a little rude, but they didn’t make us pay for our drinks, even though we offered, so I guess they can have one star.

The place is big enough and also has good parking place. The salad bar is pretty nice. What surprised me is all of the pastas had Parmesan sauce! I asked for simple penne pasta in marinara sauce but perhaps they are not used to moving away from set instructions. The food was cooked but it lacked taste. The waiter tried to help but it was hard to explain lack of taste!

I got treated to lunch from Rubys today… And it was so delicious I wanted to slap my mother… I ordered the new Orleans seafood which is grilled tilapia and shrimp that has some creamy white sauce that came from heaven… And it had 2 sides. I chose double grilled green beans because I have an addiction to them lately… Can’t figure out how to make them like that at home so I buy them every time I go to Rubys now. They were perfectly grilled, still crispy and crunchy… With some sort of oil on them. Possibly olive oil… Food– delicious Service — I ordered through delivery so I have no idea Would I go back — absolutely Would I refer others? Hell effing yeah. I already have referred others to go get this exact dish… It’s my new fave

We stopped in this Ruby Tuesday the night before I ran the Richmond Marathon after seeing the horrendously long line at Olive Garden! Since I wasn’t going to be able to get my pasta, I opted for the Turkey Burger. It was definitely yummy! Served on a pretzel bun, I had only about 1⁄3 of the usual HUGE salad that I enjoy getting at their fresh bar since I didn’t want any tummy trouble for 26.2! The service here was fast and friendly. Would recommend this location.

The food tasted pretty good and the service was excellent. Prices on the other hand is on the higher end First time going to a Ruby Tuesday since the closet location is Las Vegas. The service was excellent; the waiter kept the glass full and was very diligent and friendly. As far as the food goes, it was great, but not worth the prices they are charging. This place gets 3.5 stars. Even though the service is excellent, and the staff is friendly and great. It is still not worth the prices that they are charging.

While better since having revamping the franchise, they are still only okay. The food is over priced, and the service is just average.
