Marc is clearly very experienced and is a true professional. We rented a home in El Cerrito for which Marc is the property manager. In the infrequent times when we’ve had emergent issues to be addressed, Marc has always been impressively responsive, and is always quick to make sure that and issues are handled rapidly and with high quality and integrity. Potentially stressful situations were resolved easily with Marc’s leadership. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to others, or to use him in the future to manage my own properties.

This is our first experience renting out our home, and we were hesitant and nervous at first. Our experience with Marc as a property manager has left us feeling confident with our decision to rent our family home of 30+ years. He has been timely with responses, clear when addressing our concerns, and great when informing and educating us with the process of renting our home. For example, he gave us helpful and straightforward advice about repairs and improvements to our property — what was absolutely necessary, what would be nice for curb appeal, and what could be done later down the line to maintain/​improve the property value.

I was referred to Marc by a good friend of mine a few years ago to help rent out and manage our investment property in Hercules. It was easy to contact him to set up an appointment and when we met him, he was extremely personable and professional. He genuinely listened to our preferences and concerns and did not put any pressure on us during the tenant screening process. At the same time, I appreciated that he was always up front with us and how he had years of experience to give us sound advice and guidance throughout the entire process. He’s great at responding to my calls, emails, or text. We were able to find a reliable tenant that paid their rent every month on time. It was the best decision we ever made to use Marc and his property management services! He took care of everything, from the screening process, to routine maintenance, tenant issues, to collecting the monthly rent and the accounting. All we did was sit back and relax. His fees are also competitive and very reasonable.
Fast forward to this year when we decided it was time to sell our property. Again, it was a smooth process using Marc as our real estate agent. He took care of getting the house ready for listing and he really did his due diligence in valuing our property and coming up with a list price. (On a side note: He uses contractors who reasonably priced and affordable, yet left it to us to decide whether to use his contractor or have us refer one to him.) He did a great job marketing the house. He also gave a private tour with other agents before the open house to get more foot traffic and our we received an offer within a couple of weeks. He walked us through the entire process and was there with us every step of the way. We are thrilled as we just closed on house and we believe we got the best price possible. Marc really came through for us.

Marc is great and speaks excellent English. He’s up to date on the tech side which is hard to find in the real estate industry. I had to fire my other agent because she wasn’t responsive and she only helped when she was around. Marc will always respond as long as he has a phone or internet connection. If Marc is tied up, he has other agents on his team lined up to help. I will continue to use him over and over again when I buy my next 10 houses.

Mr. Guzman is an excellent Real Estate Agent and Property Manager. I have heard nothing but praises from him about properties that he manages. He is up to date with all the laws and he has strong ethics. I can give you one example when I was trying to evict my tenant and I was freaking out. Mr. Guzman spent time out of his busy day explaining to me what I need to do step by step. It helped calm me down and I was worried free after that.
On top of all that he’s also very knowledgeable with computers and IT. He makes sure that all the Real Estate Agents in the office have internet access and that no computer have viruses.
He is very young and he is going to be around for many years to come!
