Main Street Spa & Wellness Center

I decide to have a girls weekend with my fav cousin and I randomly selected Main Street Spa & Wellness Center after reading about the spa, calling a few other places and having difficulty making an appointment with other spas. I hit the jackpot. I went for an aromatherapy massage, foot reflexology and a facial. The spa is in a lively area with many shops and places to eat. The entrance door can be missed because the spa is not on the ground floor but the second floor so it is a red door with the sign for the spa that my cousin and I missed several times. We had no trouble parking. The spa is small, intimate and cozy. As soon as you enter you feel soothed. We filled out our forms and were led to the room where we would have our services. Soothing music filled the air and I selected peppermint as the scent I wanted used. The masseuse (Patrice) noticed that my sinuses were clogged. I’m not sure what she did but my sinuses have not been clogged since. The massage was amazing. The table was warm, your knees were supported, my neck needed to be higher than usual and they accommodated that easily. I did not have to change tables and everything was done right where I was at. Patrice’s hands were magic. I felt refreshed and revived. My cousin thoroughly enjoyed her masseuse Herman. He provided a more firm massage which she requested. The facial… what can I say? My face felt like butter (the soft kind) when Janice was done. I must be cleaning my face wrong because my face looked 2 shades lighter after she finished. Janice is very knowledgeable. My face was clean, soft and clear. It was 2 and a half hours of pure relaxation and rejuvenation. I’ve made my next appointment already. A gal has to treat herself sometimes… and often. This spa was well worth the trip from Virginia Beach.

Holistic health is the best way to go. Janice is personable, educated and professional. It was my first time getting a colonic and she assisted me by answering questions and recommending continued reading material regarding diet and blood types.
She was not pushy about services but did provide alternate approaches to manage my health and well-​being. To date, I have lost inches off my waist, changed my former maladaptive eating habits and have enrolled in full body wraps.
Janice’s space in Carytown is accessible, quiet and discrete. I recommend for you to go see her. Make it a self-​care day just for you. Do not feel selfish. If you do not care of self, you cannot very well take care of anyone else.

Janice is great. She’s waxed my eyebrows twice and has given me exactly what I’ve asked for in terms of shape. I’ve also had a facial here. It was my first one and it was wonderful. My boyfriend’s exact words, «You look fresh-​faced.» And I had a glow for a few days. Janice suggested a skincare regimen based on my skin type and my skin has never looked better. Ambience is serene.
