Great Steak

The food here is pretty good considering it’s in Hilltop. I get the chicken philly every time and have never ordered anything else, nor do I ever plan to, because it’s so good. My friends and a lot of others seem to love the king fries here, but I think they’re pretty plain.

Consistently good tasting — probably not healthy but who cares!!!
I come here frequent for a good ol’ cheesesteak! Tastes just like it does in every other «great steak» which is what I hope for!
Cheese fries are delicious (they use real potatoes) and the steak sandwich is always good and greasy :)

Yo, like for real, this is my spot and has been for more than a decade when my first job was at Sears and even before that! I don’t go as often as I use to but I’m so happy this place is still here even if the mall is sad as hell now! Same, sweet & friendly owners who knows my usual order, which is the Great Steak (sometimes large if I’m starving) & the King Potato. Apparently, my dad is also a regular here cuz when I came with him one time, they knew him too! I hope they don’t ever leave because they’re the only reason why I come to the mall!

I usually get the original cheesesteak or chicken cheesesteak, always made perfectly. Although I frequent the Cheesesteak Shop on Fitzgerald, I actually prefer these sandwiches.
The Asian couple that owns/​works at this location are so friendly and nice, even though I bet they get a lot of rude asshole customers (hello, it’s hilltop).

My favorite fast food place of all time. Don’t be fooled by the name, what you really want to get is the chicken teriyaki with Cajun fries. The bread is amazing and the owners will recognize their regular customers when you come in.

I thought this place was gonna taste really junky. I must say, I was happily surprised. They are reasonably-​priced, have some healthier options, and the fries are ON POINT! I got a veggie delight sandwich because I wasn’t really in a meaty-​mood. It was really good, but the cucumbers didn’t taste fresh and the tomatoes fell off the top immediately. The mushrooms and cheese were mixed really well. I think next time I’ll just go for the meat! I had asked the woman at the register and she highly recommended it over the veggie but i just had to be stubborn. Anyway, my sandwich was made really fast, the employees were kind, and it was clean in there so – 4 stars, minus one for the old cukes and slippery tomatoes.

I came in the other night for dinner only because I was having the worse craving for some and the only reason I even come to this mall! Hands down to the best cheese steak in town. I only minus a star because the cashier had a phone order and had my bf and I waited about 10 – 12 mins long to take our order. I understand that you have to pick up the call but it does not hurt to put them on hold and help the customer in front of you first. That’s what I have learn working in the customer service industries. But other than that this place is really bomb dot com!

Every time I come to the mall, I always walled pass this place and not even a glance, but today was different cause I had my nephew with me and when he said this place serve some bomb ass king fries he wasnt playing! The king fries were a little expensive but hey! I got some free bites so no complaints, thanks to my kind nephew! He got his aunty! But yeaah dont let this place fool you by the looks of it but other than that, friendly people and good food

Never ever have I had such a good cheesesteak. This place is sooooo good. The employees all hopped to attention as I entered the doorway. They were very nice and clarified everything as I ordered which made the ordering process very easy. I barely sat down at my tsble when my sandwich was ready. 7″ cheesesteak with everything. Sorry no pix of the original sandwich but i couldnt stop myself. Fresh ingredients, unique flavor and great service. Go here for lunch, now.

Food:
Tasteless and blah, I got one of their steak sandwiches that was nothing more than mayo slapped on the bread, cheap steak with pepper, lettuce and tomatoes, it was not good, blah. Then I got the fries with the nacho cheese and jalapenos, again no taste. Absolutely nothing special about this place, nothing.
Cost:
Over $ 10 for a small sub with fries and a drink? Way too much for my taste.
Dining Area:
I felt like disinfection my pants after eating here, it just has a filthy feel to it and it feel crowded.
Parking:
Parking is plenty for this place as it’s located in a mall, no problems here.
Service:
They were quick to take my order and answer my questions, no problems here.
Summary:
Because their food has no taste or flavor, because they charge way too much for their food (in my opinion) and because the place has a filthy crowded feel to it, I’ll not return.

I used to come here with my mom and my brother when i was young, it was good then, and it’s still good now.
me and my girl are fairly regular here, the owners, a middle aged korean couple, are very friendly, and have memorized our order including ingredients we like and don’t like.
most cheese steak places are way too heavy and greasy, these place tastes fresh, but still loaded with melting cheese and tender meats.
i really love the seasoning, (orange colored salty flavored) that i put on both the fries and the sandwich. the malt vinegar is also just right, not too strong so you can put a whole lot to let it soak into the insides of the bread.
Some times for lunch, me and my girl would drive the 8 or so miles just to eat here. so if you are in the area def check it out, but even if you are not, it is worth a try.

I LOVE THEM. I’m a regular here. They memorize my order and start on my king potato as soon as I walk in. I LOOOOOVE loaded potatoes. The owners are so cute, and the ladies that cook always talk to me. Love them love them love them!

The people here are very sweet, but never have I been more dissatisfied by a cheesesteak in my life. I got the Chicken Philly and I expected it to have actual chicken in it however what I got was unbreaded nugget like «meat» and I use the term meat loosely. The taste wasn’t horrible, but the chicken substitute really rubbed me the wrong way. I mostly will not be going back unless I’m extremely hungry and even then I would not get a cheesesteak. Two stars for them being nice people and having decent fries.

Owners are so sweet n they remember me n my boyfriend, even though we only go there once in a while… Excellent service… i always ordered there teriyaki chicken sandwich with nacho fries…^_^ I would really recommend ppl to go there…

I love this place. Food is great! I always get a chicken Philly with everything on it. The owners are awesome!!! Always have smile on their faces so willing to help.

We ordered the Super Steak, Teriyaki Chicken, Pastrami, Great Potato and King Fries. The food was just OK to me. I have definitely had better Phillys. My bf liked the Teriyaki Chicken while I didn’t really care for it. I thought the fries were better than my actual sandwich but, that’s me. I was craving a good Philly and this just didn’t hit the spot, it just made me want a real Philly even more. Lol. I thought the pastrami was the tastiest but, even Togo’s has a better pastrami. As far as mall food goes, I guess this place is alright.

I used to go to the Philly Cheese Steak shop in Pinole next to Target until I was introduced to this place. The bread is always fresh and soft and the steak is always good. I get the Philly and it’s never failed me along with the Coney Island Fries, French Fries with nacho cheese and beans. mm mm mmm. I agree with the other review, it is in a not so great mall, but the plus side to that is that it’s so close to the entrance to the mall so it’s in and out, you don’t have to walk all the way through the place to find it. It is a small store but there is RARELY a lot of people there. Definitely worth trying out if you’re in the mall or near the area.

I love this Great Steak. I always enjoy the Great Steak or the Super Steak with savory french fries.
The owners are friendly, cheerful people. Delightful is the perfect descriptor.
I just wish they didn’t close early on Sundays (because of the mall hours).

Best thing to eat in the mall. Always season the meat so it’s pretty tasty. The owners are really nice. Usually when I’m around the area and craving a sandwich I stop by here for a cheesesteak. Yum.
