I’ve taken my kids to this location a couple of times. Yeah, it’s a bit old and service is never good. I think it’s too few employees trying to do too many things. Just saw this location on this list of stores being closed. sad. Loved the butter crunch ice cream. Now I have to drive a bit further for it.

I grew up with Friendly’s and love it, but this particular location is gross. The waitresses look like they have seen better days, the service is slow and the restaurant itself is a bit dirty. Last time I was here the sundaes didn’t taste quite right– not sure how you can mess up a reese’s pieces sundae but they did. There’s a better location up on Patterson… try that one.

Other than good Ethiopian food, Friendly is the dive I miss most on the east coast. It’s diner food and well worth every fat filled bit. Their sundae is still the best in the land. Try this concocion: rocky road, black rasberry, peanut butter and hot fudge sauce. Anything fried on their griddle is good here.

I grew up in a Friendly family. My sisters worked her while in college at a small version in our local strip mall when I was very young. Having grown up in Freindly-land(New England) it is hard not to kind of have it in your blood. This location is fairly close to home and is my go to when I get a little home-sick. What do I go for? Breakfast most often. They have great English Muffins and they do great scrambled with cheese. I also love the Turkey Super Melt. Grilled sour dough bread, melted cheese, bacon, tomato, and Thousand Island dressing. I also admit that I have always been a fan of a little clam platter however I order some grilled hot dog rolls and make my own little clam boat like they used to do back in the day. A little tarter sauce and lemon and I am good to go, almost brings me back to the roadside clam shacks of my New England childhood. Finish up with a little Sundae and it doesn’t get much better on a hot summer day.
