Enrolled my son in guitar lessons for the 6 week summer session. A good affordable way to check out their program. A huge focus on ethnic and cultural expression. A wonderful, positive resource in Richmond, with a vast variety of dance, theater and music classes.

My child is taking the Preschool Arts Class right now (well, it’s parent participation, so I guess I am too!). Great spaces, great instructors, lots to like here! I want to come back in the evening sometime to catch one of their student concerts — there’s an active events calendar.

This review is for their After-​School Enrichment program only.
Though the enrichment class offerings for Albany elementaries are pretty good, teachers sometimes do not show up and children are left to sit in the school office. Unacceptable. This has happened several times this school year.
Equally of concern is an apparent lack of sense of equity or response to parent concerns. For example, Pre-​Engineering courses are offered to only 2 of the 3 elementary schools in Albany. This blatant exclusion and lack of regard for parent concerns is an issue that fails to be addressed even after multiple inquiries.
Very disappointing.

An often overlooked jewel of the Bay Area that looks better than ever! Great classes and shows at an affordable price. It’s out of my way, but the shows I’ve attended have been well worth the price and I’ve met some great people there. The theater is intimate and it’s been a great way to meet some of the performers and directors. Two thumbs up!
