After placing my order for a $ 10 Monday night special I was disheartened by what I had to deal with when picking up my pizza. 1. To be fare there was some confusion on both sides when placing the order. I specifically requested that i wanted the $ 10 special several times. 2. When I arrived they wanted to charge me $ 14. When I explained the confusion they refused to adjust the price. Around 4 – 5 employees were at the counter at the time. They all chimed in with«too bad,» «next time you will get the deal», «that is what you ordered». It was intimidating and I didn’t want the hassle, so I paid $ 14. 3. After waiting for my pizza I decided to speak again to the man I spoke with on the phone. He immedialty said I must talk to the manager, which was a good idea at this point. When I politely tried to explain to the manager what happened he told me that it would«cost too much to refund my overcharge» since I paid with a credit card. «The credit card company would take at least $ 2.» I was really sadden by this this blatant lie. I decided that it wasn’t worth it at this point. As I was getting ready to leave he offered me $ 4 off my next order. Although, I appreciated that he made some kind of effort, it came a little too late. I was very sadden that this wasn’t handled better. I think this place has great pizza but will struggle with inexperienced management and a lack of customer service.

We order out more than we eat there but I have been here quite a few times. The takeout is good pizza. It is pretty simple and is always pretty solid. The delivery situation is pretty bad though. They are always slow l, pretty rude and cannot seem to figure it out. Dining in is different. it takes about 5 min to get a pre-made slice to your table. You order a slice and they heat it up. They have boxed salads and good drinks. The pizza is average. If you are in the area go get a slice but dont go out if your way.

Love the spinach feta artichoke pizza, and the sandwiches are great. Delivery has been quick and friendly.

This place has nothing on it’s Harrison St location. I’m surprised they are even the same company with how slow the service is and the general lack of knowledge and care from the staff. We came here for dinner and in a shopping center that’s packed with other places to eat, they were the least busy. There were people standing around waiting for pickup orders of course, but we were able to order quickly and grab a seat to wait. I’m going to echo someone else’s review and say that the staff is basically two semi-competent adults with a bundle of clueless teenagers running the joint. I ordered a Bold Rock cider and the kid ringing us up seriously asked if it was something on their menu when the beers are sitting six inches from the register. It also took over 40 minutes to get our order and we were dining in. It wasn’t rocket science by any means, just 3 sandwiches and a kid’s cheese pizza, but we had to get up and check on our order twice just to make sure they didn’t forget us. There were also other people with pick up orders having problems, ranging from extremely long waits to one girl getting the completely wrong pizza. It’s a hot mess at this pizza spot, so much so that the head supervisor had to come out of the kitchen to tell his workers to get it together in front of everyone in the place.

This was our first time at Christian’s, and we loved it! We had a large group of 8th grade girls celebrating our daughter’s birthday. The manager sent out complimentary orders of garlic knots. The pizzas were not far behind. We especially enjoyed the bbq chicken and bacon! The manager and staff epitomized what good customer service should be. We will definitely be back!

Horrible service. Total burnouts working here with no concept of customer service or even a baseline of when a slice was put in the oven. Never again.

This is one of the best places I have ever stepped in. Closest to NY pizza you can get. The food is great, but the people are even better

Have always been a fan of the original shop on Downtown Mall in Charlottesville, and was hoping for a replication of that experience. Ordered a pie for carryout: half sautéed mushroom, half black olives and asked them not to cut it so it would stay warm longer for when I got home. Dude was chatty while it cooked and I asked what beers he had, while I waited. He rattled off the list but said he was out of Legend Brown. I said, «let’s go with Legend Lager then.» Dude looked through the fridge and finally said«man, we’re out of that, too.» I told him I’d just skip the beer. Once pizza was ready, Dude put it in a box, sliced it and then turned around to me and said, «aw man, you didn’t want me to cut it, did ya?» By the way, it’s about 9pm and no other customers are in the store. Dude takes my money, I take my pizza. At home, I find no real line between the half/half toppings; they’re kind of mingled. Taste is fair, but it’s the crust that surprised me: felt like I was eating cardboard and I clearly wasn’t because the pizza box still was intact. Experience was 2 – 3 stars, taste was 1 – 2 stars. I give Domino’s 1 – 2 stars for taste as well. Local Richmond pizza joints have nothing to worry about from Dude’s, er, Christian’s Pizza in Village Shopping Center.

After my initial review, the owner of the restaurant reached out. He apologized and informed me that he has instructed this employees how to treat future customers. He acknowledged that they responded incorrectly to my call and even offered me several free pizzas. I am extremely impressed with his professionalism and appreciate the personal contact.

We are Christian’s fans from Charlottesville who are so happy to have a branch open in Richmond within walking distance! We also order delivery online and it arrives amazingly quickly. The delivery peeps always are pleasant and sometimes wear animal hats. In the shop they are sometime a little«hipster bro-y» but not unprofessional. Perhaps the pizzas could use a little more sauce, and may not be quite as great as the Cville ones, but it’s great to be able to get a delicious veggie pizza that has just a little cheese(for those of us trying to avoid scads of fat) and a thin crust – or a traditional pepperoni, depending on the sitch and who’s eating it. The owner has been very community minded.

Customer service 9⁄10 Wait time 9⁄10 Atmosphere 7⁄10 Pizza appearance 10⁄10 Pizza flavor 5⁄10 My husband and I got a large 18′ half supreme, half cheese, onion & mushroom pizza, there was near zero sauce on the pizza, and the crust was undercooked. The mushroom onion combo was the only thing adding flavor to my slices, and my husband had two of his slices calling it good and throwing the rest. «It’s not keep and reheat tomorrow good.» It put us back $ 24.00, & is likely only worth 12 – 15. Probably the last time we’ll be going here, but it was a good first go about at an East coast pizza joint.

Pizza by the slice. Big slice. Nice open dining area with tall tables in front. I like their crust, It is a soft crunchy salty treat. You come in, and the counter has sneeze guards on it, and behind that there are about a dozen finished pizzas under heat lamps. You choose your slices and they pop them back in the pizza oven for a real reheat. Awesome pizza. There are salads and drinks in a cooler when you walk in, or you can get sweet tea or a fountain drink. Mondays they do a tea dollar one topping eighteen inch pizza. Nice deal. For me, its this place or Belmont Pizzeria for good pizza in Richmond. :)

I love this pizza place! I mean, it’s no NY Pizza, but it’s cheap, and everyone can get what they want! I frequent the establishment on Thursdays, where a pizza is $ 10 for one topping. A buddy of mine and myself usually split it. The pizzas are sometimes a little greasy, but they always have the speed you’re looking for during a quick lunch break. They sell by the slice, or by the pie, and even have a few salads for those interested. I definitely recommend Christians Pizza!

I don’t get all the low ratings on this classic pizza place! Maybe it’s bc I’m from California and truth be known that compared to the east, pizza kinda sucks. Well when a girl gets a midnight craving for some cheese this place dose not disappoint. Of course I found this place on Unilocal as I do most scrumptious places. Called and placed my delivery order and it was a breeze. Half cheese half pepperoni with light sauce. I tried to order a medium but was told I could only order an extra large. Kinda weird but the price was so right. 14 bucks for cheesy goodness??? Umm. Yes please! They said 30 minutes and we heard the knock almost to the tee. When I opened the box I was immediately drooling to see a typical NY pizza. Very thin, big sliced heaven in a box. One bite and I wanted to move to VA. I sorry all you wonderful Virginians but you must be spoiled bc we simply don’t have pizza like this on the. West coast. We have some unbelievable inventive pies but the simplicity of this pizza was remarkable. The delivery guy was nice and like I said before very fast to get this delectable confection to us quickly. Next time I am here I will skip the restaurants and order from here. !!!

I ordered pizza here a few times and each time it had been decent. Unfortunately after my experience tonight I will not be ordering from here again. We placed an order online at around 5:15 and scheduled a delivery for 6:15. Not only was the pizza delivered 30 minutes late, but our order was incorrect. We paid extra for extra sauce on the pizza. However, when we went to eat the pizza there was little to no sauce.(See picture) We then called Christians pizza to let them know that we had not received what we ordered, to which the manager responded ‘I watched them put double sauce on’ and did nothing to fix the issue or compensate for the time we spent waiting for an incorrect order.

I ordered my first pie here the other day — it was good, but fell short of «great.» The crust, sauce, cheese were fine and everything, but it’s not the type of place I would go out of my way to say«I want a pizza from there.» As a rule, I do not buy pizza by the slice. I’m cautious of how long a pizza has been sitting out, and if I want reheated pizza, I can make that at home. It’s unfortunate there is only one size pizza here. I would prefer medium or small for my own consumption.

After living in Charlottesville for 20 years, DH and I were thrilled to see our favorite pizza place come to Richmond. Sadly, it is not the same great pizza we used to enjoy so much. The set-up and selection is the same as Charlottesville, but the taste just does not seem the same to us. On this visit, DH had two slices of pepperoni(as is his custom) and I had a slice of the BBQ chicken pizza. The crust is nice, thin and crispy, which we both like. My slice was loaded with chopped chicken, bacon and cheese, and looked very appetizing. But it was the sauce that turned me off. It was way too sweet and I just could not finish my slice because of it. DH’s pepperoni pizza was a safer and more traditional choice. But he was not crazy about his pizza sauce either, stating too much sweetness. Maybe it was this particular batch? I hope so. The other thing that sort of put me off is that their iced tea is not fresh brewed but a fountain drink from concentrate. I would expect that above the Mason-Dixon line. But not here in Richmond. I will wait to satisfy my Christian’s Pizza cravings when I go to Charlottesville.

Thank you Christian’s for coming to Richmond! Great variety of pies. Pizza and calzones available. Purchase by the slice or whole pie. Take out available, but i don’t think they deliver. Gorgeous, fresh ingredients. Generous toppings. Toppings include avocado, olives, eggplant, roasted peppers, chicken, buffalo chicken. Booths, tables, and counter seating. I didn’t see any alcohol for purchase, perhaps that’s coming. Located in the old Cheeseburger in the Village Shopping Center at Three Chopt. I expect there to be lines out the door as Richmond discovers Christian’s. Those of you from Charlottesville/UVA already know about this pizza magic-nom nom! Today was their public opening. Looking forward to returning. Bön appetite~
