I had the BEST care for my surgery today! Everyone was such a joy and helpful to me and my family!

The worst care Amy and Crystal are the worst nurses in any trauma unit at any hospital in the Richmond area.

If I could give this a negative star I would! I was in the ER on September 28th at around 8pm. This was not my first experience with nurses being rude but this particular night, the nurses were just the worst. To begin all 3 had this nasty entitled attitude and acted annoyed when you’d ask them any questions. Okay, sorry you rather socialize about dumb crap with each other than help comfort people that are there because they’re sick. HCA hospitals should hire nurses that actually love their jobs and not nasty and rude ones, that are clearly there for the paycheck! The pediatric doctor was great and if it wasn’t for the wonderful doctors in the pediatric unit, I’d never return. So sad, that this is a continuous thing and HCA continues to allow these people to represent them.

I had a huge bump under my arm so I went to the emergency room. When I was finally seen by the doctor he assumed I was crazy and told mr to leave. I ended up going to Washington Adventist hospital in Maryland and I had to have the cyst under my arm surgically removed.

I did not have a good experience here. I took my son to this hospital, because he had a virus for about 7 days, and he was dehydrated. The nurses were unprofessional and we waited in the hospital room for a a very long time before the doctor finally saw my 4 year old son. He immediately said it was a virus and nothing could be done. I made a comment that I thought he was a little dehydrated, and he finally agreed once my son test results came back. He started my son on a IV to give him some fluids. I felt like they were rushing us out the hospital. After everything was done, he gave my son a priscription to stop his vomitting. I left the hospital and went straight to the pharmacy. Thats when I realized the doctor had put the wrong first name on the persciption and the wrong dosage for a 4 year old. I was disgusted and annoyed. Omg he could have killed my son. I went back to the hospital, and he apoligized. I would never ever go back… I never in my life had a worser experience. I should add that me and my husband was there with my son for a total of 7 hours. It was 12 in the morning when we got home. I had to go to work at 4. Smh

I was admitted twice this past week to Chippenham hospital. I was experiencing an ectopic pregnancy and was in so much pain. The first visit I had was a more professional and showed more empathy than the staff the second time around. The doctor when introducing himself asked what I had come into the ER for saw my calendar and made a comment along the lines of «don’t give me a life story just get to your point.» I was so appalled by this introduction. Firstly, I am not a doctor but I am in health care and because of this I documented my condition over the course of four weeks. That night was the confirmation of the ectopic pregnancy but the information I kept helped to discover what was wrong. This doctor never prepared me for what they had decided to do in fact the only other time I saw him during my nine hour stay was when he entered the room and described a «vitamin» shot he ordered for my situation.” I was so annoyed with his demeanor and how uncaring he was. I was about to leave after seven hours there. I had changed and walked out of the room and down the hall before the young nurse noticed. She called out to me so I stopped and offered her an examination as to why I wanted to leave. That was when it was revealed to me of my condition and that chemo had been ordered and not a vitamin shot like the doctor had said earlier. I had decided to stay for the treatment because I realized the seriousness of my situation from the nurse. If it wasn’t for her I would not have stayed. I do not recommend this hospital to anyone.

I never had to go here before but 2.5 years ago when I was pregnant with my son I was sent here for total bed rest(not even to the bathroom)… I was at risk for premature delivery so I had to stay in labor and delivery. I was there for a LOOOOOONNNG20 days the nurses were great they treated me so well. I started getting down because of everything and one nurse saw I was getting a little depressed sick of the laptop and TV and bored out my mind from laying there day in and day out she bought me a deck of cards coloring books and crayons just something to help pass the time. another nurse after casual conversation when I mentioned I loved chocolate she made sure that the cafeteria put chocolate on my tray every day I had chocolate cake ice cream and milk on my tray every day until I went home after the baby was born. The baby still came early at 26 weeks and that was a hard day. The nurses were great even after i was moved out of L&D and when I had to go home without the baby I bawled like a moron and one nurse gave me the longest and best hug ever and didn’t mind I wet up her scrub top. With all honesty it was the best hug I ever got. The NICU team was great! They treated him like their own and I’m forever grateful. Now, I have never had to go for anything else but all I know at one of the most important times it was better care than I could have asked for.

Well it’s a hospital and I’m not much of a fan of them. Now my wife’s friend is here having here knee replaced. Everything has went well and the staff is top notch on the floor she is no. When we went in this hospital it just didn’t look clean enough to me. But that’s me I couldn’t put my finger on anything, it was just a feeling. But like I said the surgery went well and she is recovering well. So all in all everything is good just something keeping me from putting them at five stars.
