I came here with Wife my three times before deciding to leave a review. The food was excellent each time we came here. Excellent and very knowledgeable wait staff. The food is fresh and comes out really fast. The menu is short but still has a lot of options. We haven’t been here for breakfast yet but we will in the near future.

The food here is great. It was our first time. We didn’t order much just some appetizers because we were going to the funnybone right after. We order the pork belly sliders, fresh cut fries and chicken tacos. The pork belly sliders were amazing. The bread was soft, the sauce was great. We ordered it without coleslaw. The French fries were great too. It comes with some type of cheese sauce. They didn’t put a lot so it didn’t make your fries soggy. The chicken tacos were awesome. It was a nice amount of chicken that the put on the taco. The service was pretty good. Our waiter seemed new just by his behavior. It wasn’t bad service or anything. We could just tell he was just learning. I would go again just to taste their entrees. We visited a 2nd time and ordered the shrimp and crab pasta and the gotta have it burger. These two items were amazing! Omg you have to try these!

Went here for an early lunch on a weekday, so it was pretty quiet. The service was good and the food was as well. I ordered a half tomato/mozzarella/pesto salad and half turkey sandwich. Both were good — nothing special — but decent considering the price and menu items itself. I did notice they had wine on tap, which I’ll definitely have to try next time!

As a former server, I know the stereotype that is given to moms with children entering a restaurant. Some may think, «Oh no, here comes a hassle. They probably won’t order much, leave a small tip and have tons of special needs with the kids.» It’s sad, but it exists. I’ve felt this at other restaurants in Short Pump, but never at Baker’s Crust. I’ve come in a few times with my toddler, and every time, I’ve never always received exceptional service. Someone always gets the door for me to wheel my stroller in, and helps me figure out the best place to put it. It means a lot! Being a mom is hard enough, and sometimes we just need a break. I love being able to enjoy time with my kid while not having to worry about the mess, or feel bad that he’s not eating healthy. He is able to get a nutritious meal there, and the staff is very helpful in caring about food allergies. From a mom who sometimes just gets my kid’s leftover grilled cheese for lunch, or Cheerios off the floor, thank you for helping us to build happy memories. I always look forward to lunch dates with my son.

I have lunch here every Tuesday with my mom and fiancé… Never disappoints… The sauce for the calamari is absolutely the best sauce ever. Portions are more than enough and service is always excellent.

Just a chain, nothin’ to see here, folks. Had lunch, turkey sandwich, and bread was very stale. Service sub-par, guy was grouching the whole time and never bothered to refill water. But gotta say, the place was packed.

This was a five star experience if I’ve ever had one! Our server, Dakota, was everything you could ask for. His knowledge of the menu, descriptive use of language to convey what the dishes were like — he was absolutely fabulous! I ordered the Asiago Chicken for dinner and the Jamaican for breakfast. They were perfection! Both came highly recommended and as a legit Foodie I like to be thoroughly satisfied with my food. Well done Dakota! We will definitely be back!

So good! I got the Malibu sandwich and Wine Country salad. It was absolutely delicious with fresh strawberries, grapes, candied pecans, and pear on the salad it was a treat of variety. The price was excellent too at $ 10.70 for the combo. Everything on the menu sounded great. My friend had the roasted red pepper and Gouda soup. She had great things to say about it too! Definitely try it!

I’m always excited to eat at Baker’s Crust, and always leave disappointed in my meal and also how much I paid for it. The only good meal I’ve had is the Tomato Soup and a side of tavern chips. Something about the food leaves a lot to be desired. Sometimes it’s as if there is little flavor, and sometimes there seem to be too many competing flavors. I’ve found the brunch menu to be especially disappointing. All the chicken they use appears to be from the same roasted chicken recipe and is nearly always served cold on an entrée. Something in the seasoning of this chicken is not good, and using this same seasoning does not complement every dish they make. For this unfortunate reason, I would recommend avoiding any dishes that include grilled chicken.(This knocks out a LOT of menu options) In short, Baker’s Crust is mediocre food at premium prices. You can easily find better options elsewhere.

Went last night for some dessert and was very impressed! The chocolate lava cake with ice cream was to die for. Literally in love. However, it was rather pricey but the atmosphere was fancy/hip so I should’ve expected that.

I’ve been here twice and I’m never disappointed. It is worth every penny and a little more. The lava cake is moist… OMG! The wait staff super friendly and attentive.

I actually had dinner here twice on my most recent trip to Richmond, once as takeout and once at the restaurant bar. The quinoa/kale salad that I had the first night was DELICIOUS and super filling(I also added grilled chicken on top so that may be why). The ingredients were incredibly fresh and the salad dressing was perfect. I went back last night and opted to eat at the bar(Mary party of one). I started with a seasonal beer(sweet potato something… didn’t get a chance to write the name down, don’t hate) and it was delish! For my entrée I ordered the BC combo, with a cup of the«kickin crab corn chowder» and the wine country salad(I asked to switch the goat cheese out for blue cheese) and again, it was a big hit! Great portion size, not too large, but just filling enough. The service is great, the dining area is a decent size and the bar seating was a great choice. This is a perfect option for anyone staying at the Hyatt House Short Pump.

I have to say I have mixed feelings for the Short Pump Baker’s Crust. I have been coming here for years, ever since I moved to the area. I love the food, but there are other things that I don’t love, and it always seems to be the same thing every time we go. I will use my most recent visit this weekend as a prime example. My husband and our two children(5 years and 15 months) showed up for dinner at around 5:20 — 5:30 pm. We purposely eat early because we have young children and we know they can’t deal with waiting to be seated, and when you add in what is sure to be high traffic from Short Pump shoppers, we just know to aim early. There didn’t seem to be any issues when we showed up, maybe one group waiting to be seated ahead of us and about slightly less than half the restaurant still empty. Nothing seemed too hectic or busy. We told them our numbers and that we needed a high chair. We were seated and as the hostess left we again said we needed a highchair. She nodded, said OK, and left. We waited 5 minutes, all while holding our persistent child, but no high chair. We thought we would just wait it out for our waiter or waitress, but at that point, my husband just got up and went on the hunt to find it himself(in the back of the restaurant). Once all settled, we realized we were not given children’s menus(menu not included on the main menu given), so we had to go back up to the hostess stand and ask for one. Note that as this point, we had been seated for about 10 minutes, and still not wait staff. This is a major pet peeve for me. I worked in food service industry while in college and this was something drilled into my head. You need to greet your tables right away. If you can’t stick around to get a drink order because you are busy elsewhere, let them know you are aware of their existence and will be right with them. But don’t flat out ignore them. We saw the girl who ended up being our waitress talk to all the tables surrounding us multiple times before ever greeting us 15 minutes after we were seated. At the very least you would think there would be an apology for the wait, but nothing. It may be that I only notice it because I was taught otherwise for so long, but it sticks out to me when things like this happen. Once our waitress showed up, everything went smoothly. She was very nice, quick, and to the point. We learned a while back that Baker’s has stopped automatically bringing you a bread basket, so if you want it, you just need to ask for it. We always do this because we know its good planning to hold the kids over. When we got our bread basket this time around it was just 4 small pieces of bread, one for each of us. All well and good, but definitely would have liked more. I always love the food at Baker’s, one of the biggest reasons I always go back. I love their half and half deal. My favorite is a half Turkey Cobb Salad with Chicken Guacamole Panini. The Malibu is another great sandwich option. I used to love their bruschetta boards when they had a full menu of them but they have been reduced to one or two on the appetizer menu. The Short Pump location has also recently renovated, which is a huge improvement, I must say! It always seems like a glorified Panera, but now it actually has a nice rustic urban restaurant feel with a great bar. Very fitting for the area. They add a garage door as well for an open air feel in the nicer weather. I think they should have consider doing that to all their windows instead of just the one, but still its a great idea. So overall, I love the food here, but sometimes I feel like perhaps their wait staff are over burdened. Don’t sit someone at an empty table just to let them sit alone for 15 minutes if the waiter/waitress can’t help them yet.

This was my first time here and I already know that I am definitely going back. The menu had so many options! I had a hard time deciding. I ultimately ordered the mushroom brie soup and the avocado salad. I was not disappointed. I can’t wait to go back.

We eat here together weekly. Usually Sunday’s which is a fairly busy day for them. The wait time isn’t usually unreasonable if any. It was a great day and we actually ate outside. Typically I order waffles, scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, potatoes. But lately bro have been enjoying the chicken and waffles option with nice portions of boneless chicken breasts not what you may typically think of with pieces of fried chicken. Unfortunately it doesn’t matter what time of day it is my son is going to order the burger from here lol

Mozzarella panini was drenched in oil the bread was soggy. My daughter’s chicken fingers were so dry there wasn’t enough ketchup to save them. The two stars is for the nice server and outdoor seating. Zero stars for the food.

They cooked my eggs too much I had the Baltimore Benedict it was a little plain and not as warm and over cooked. Not enough hollandaise sauce, kind of dry. I wouldn’t recommend the Baltimore Benedict, not as good, and I wouldn’t recommend this place for breakfast. The food took longer than expected, at least for breakfast food Very clean and great atmosphere, also I love their coffee cups but not the food. Price: $$ Cleanliness 8⁄10 Food 5⁄10 Service 7⁄10
