Cutz For Guys

First time in. Folks were nice. Told the stylist just a simple haircut, off the ears, trim, shape up. GOT PEELED. Can’t even pull the hair on the side. Feel like wearing a hat to work. Spoke to the manager who was very responsible. The stylist didn’t listen and gave me probably the only haircut she knows how to give. Won’t be back. When folks ask where I got such a lousy haircut, I will tell them Cutz.

My husband and son have been getting their haircut here since it opened. They have used many of the staff, always with a great outcome. They always leave happy, having had great customer service and feeling welcomed! Our son is Autistic, he can have sensory issues but these ladies make it easy! They engage him, give him a remote to the TV, talk him through the steps happening and make it fun! I cannot say enough great things about Cutz For Guys– If you have not tried it yet, you are missing out!

Got my haircut done by Hilary and she was very personable and made sure she cut my hair the way I wanted it. She also took notes and put them in their computer so that if I get another stylist they know how to cut my hair.
The owner was also cutting someone’s hair next to me and she was also very very personable and seems to drive a customer service culture!
I have just moved to Richmond and I will go back next month to get my haircut.

If your response was apologetic and admit the fact that you guys drop the ball I would consider removing it but you are only explaining how busy your shop is and it doesn’t help. In addition I arrived at 12:04 and your attempt to lie about being 7 minutes late is another reason why I won’t remove this review. Again when I arrived at 12:04 I was told by the receptionst that Valerie had taken someone else which means she didn’t even wait at all. Perhaps you should only take walk-​ins or train your people to be patient for a few minutes since your customers have taken the time to schedule an appointment.

Amazing first time experience! 3 cuts accomplished — dad 10 year old and 4 year old… So happy with all results and the stylists couldn’t have been nicer! We will be back!!!

It was the first time that I went to cut my hair here in US and I was a little afraid of this, but everything was good.
I went to Cutz for guys after reading reviews on Unilocal.I was afraid because my english is no the best to explain what I wanted, but Valerie, who cut my hair, was really polite and she tried to understand what I was looking for. and the cut was not a 100% what I was looking for but it was a 80%. I was not expecting she could understand all what I wanted, however, I can say that she did a really good job. if you speak english, you will get 100% what you need, I am sure.
I will go back the next time that I need to cut my hair and I am sure that it will be 100% what I need. I recommend this place. If they can do a good job with my hair, which is straight and complicate, I am sure that they can do a great job with yours.
Nice place and good location. I was waiting just 5 minutes. The price was good 18 USD.

Fue la primera vez que fui a cortarme el pelo acá en EEUU y estaba un poco con miedo, pero todo fue bien.
Fui a Cutz for guys despues de haber leído reviews en Unilocal.Tenía miedo porque mi ingles no es el mejor para poder explicar lo que estaba buscando. Pero Valerie, quien fue quien cortó mi pelo, fue muy amable y trató de entender lo que estaba buscando. El corte no fue 100% lo que estaba buscando pero fue un 80%, tampoco estuve con la expectativa que ella iba a entender todo lo que quería, sin embargo, puedo decir que ella hizo un buen trabajo en el corte de pelo. Si vos hablas ingles, vas a obtener el 100% de lo que querés, estoy seguro.
Voy a volver la proxima vez que necesite cortarme el pelo y estoy seguro que voy a obtener el 100% de lo que busco.
Recimiendo este lugar. Si pudieron hacer un buen trabajo con mi pelo, que es lacio y complicado, estoy seguro que van a hacer un buen trabajo con el tuyo.

Been here 5 times. And today will probably be the last. This place is really convenient, quick, and bout 2 $ cheaper than most places. I’ve had great experiences here for the most part. Unfortunately, today’s haircut was just awful. I didn’t have a preference on who cuts my hair so I was greeted by someone new. She asked me if I was getting the same haircut with 1inch on the side like I always get. So I assumed she knew was doing. She gave me a high and tight… but too high apparently. If I had to describe it, I looked like an Asian hitler baby. It was so bad that I had to go to a different salon and shave my hair off. Word of advice: stick to the ladies on the left side of the store. The lady named Kristin, on the far right didn’t know what she was doing.

After moving to Richmond, I was really nervous about finding a new place to cut my hair since I’d been going to the same barber for years. I can be kind of picky when it comes to the quality of my haircut, but Cutz for Guys blew me away! My barber, Kristin, took her time with me, which means a lot because the couple places I’d been to before this had me in and out in about 5 minutes, and I’d always find spots they missed. But with Cutz for Guys I didn’t have that problem at all, and I left with a haircut that still has me feeling amazing. Totally worth the 30 minute drive to get here!

Great prices and great haircuts. I’ve been going to sports clips for two years. Not anymore. This place is my new place for haircuts. And they do straight razor cuts too.

Margie cut Owen’s hair and it may be his best hair cut in his almost 6 years. Very fast, very friendly and a great quality, especially for the price.

The stylists are very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. I will definitely be coming back!

Best place to get your haircut (for men and boys) and they support the community by volunteering at local schools and other places. Tammy and Margie do a great job! If they have a wait just ask how long it is, put your name down, then come back when they tell you… easy. (I’m adding this review again because my old one disappeared.)

As someone that is probably too particular about his hair, I spent a LONG time trying out different barber/​stylists. Most didn’t listen to what I’d request and had some vision in their mind about how much or little I wanted cut.
Then, out of desperation, I walked into Cutz for Guys. Honestly it’s not the type of place I’d normally use. I was stuck thinking that because you have to make an appointment they must know how to cut hair. Anyway, I walked in and Margie changed my life. Not only was I able to walk right in for a cut, but she listened to what I wanted, talked to me as she cut my hair to make sure she delivered on my expectations, and even made notes so the next time I came in she’d know better what to do.
I can’t speak highly enough for Margie at Cutz for Guys. They are friendly and have reasonably prices. I recommend friends try her out and I recommend the same for you.

This place has a great staff and a great customer service, which it’s hard to find from other haircut establishments (e.g. Sports clips, barber shops). The stylists are very attentive to your particular needs and keep meticulous records of your hair preferences (e.g. Length, style, special instructions). They go as far as posting all stylist working schedules, in case you have a preference. Even though, all of the stylist are great, I prefer Megan, because she is consistent, courteous, and professional.

Let me start by saying, I’m no model or celebrity. However, I’m exceptionally particular about my hair cuts. I have been going to 1 place for over 10 years and just recently «made a switch.» After ~ 6 months worth of hair cuts at Cutz For Guys (4 – 5 cuts), I’m pleased to say I’m a loyal customer.
The service is fantastic. Tammy and Leigh-​ann are amazing at what they do! They’re friendly and know exactly what I like. If I recall correctly, they take notes on what things you like so they can assist better. I’ve always walked in — usually waiting less than 15 min depending on day/​time.
In short, these ladies are experts. If you’ve been debating on whether or not to give ‘em a go, trust me when I say you won’t be disappointed!

A great haircut for a very fair price. I have been coming here since just after they opened. Very friendly staff and rarely a long wait.
Usually you find one person that you can trust with your hair. I have had four people cut my hair and it is always a good cut.
Highly recommend Margie, Tammy and Valerie.

I went along with my husband to get his hair cut done.
Lindsay was the stylist. . And she did an awesome job.
After a long time I was able to see a new style done.
I asked for a catalogue for women’s hairstyles and they din have it unfortunately :’(

It has been a real challenge finding a good place to get my son’s hair cut. We keep it on the somewhat longer side of things and for whatever reason, other places just couldn’t get it right.
Valerie did a great job with my active 3 year old both in terms of her demeanor and the quality of the cut. Now I get my hair cut here too. Not only is it a darn good cut for the cost, but it is also a much more friendly and enjoyable experience than that had at the nearby chain cutteries (that is a word right?). I highly recommend giving this establishment your business!

This is a great place to get a haircut! I believe it’s a much better place than the Sportclips not to far from this location. It’s very quiet here and peaceful. I get my haircut from LeighAnn. She’s wonderful! She always does a great job every single time. She’s been my hairstylist for almost two years now! The staff here is really nice and friendly. What’s cool is that you can look up a specific hairstylist’s schedule for the week on their website. That way you don’t have to call every single to see if your preferred hairstylist is working that day. This place is not really crowded with people. I’ve probably seen it crowded once or twice, but it’s really rare. Definitely recommend this place!
