Applebee’s

These places tent to b crowded for those who like loud crowds. Although they have new menu items and food is good, mostly everything is fried. Healthy choices r the salads.

Service was awful. The bartender had FOUR tables and could not keep up with a thing. Took her over 5 minutes to even approach our table and then another 10 to bring our drinks but she would get refills for other tables in the car area. Finally when our food got here she just dropped the plates on the table and walked away. Food is good, service… Not so much.

Food is always on point. Love the fact that there are tablets at the table geared for kids. My daughter loves the frozen games. Tonight when we Sat down. were apprehensive on our server. Normal girl wasn’t there. However, our server was awesome. He was way more than attentive… the girls behind us noticed as well. He was a mature African American… I hate to describe him as such but. I didn’t ask his name and it wasn’t on the receipt. Thank you for your service sir. Hope to have you again. Thanks!!!

As «two-​stars» go: Meh, I’ve experienced better. My boyfriend and I visited on the weekend and got the 2-​for-​20 deal. We get an appetizer, and two entrees for twenty dollars, which isn’t bad considering a lunch out for two. Money is easy to handle at Applebee’s.
The restaurant, however, seem either severely understaffed or things just weren’t going right in the kitchen. The store was moderately filled, but it took much too long (almost a whole hour) for our food to come out, and by that time, it was mildly cold and the portions were just much smaller than they used to be.
The service also wasn’t terrible, but it could have been better. There only seemed to be three or so waitresses serving the entire restaurant and I could tell they were strained. Overall, I think the experience would have been better on a week day.

I love this place every time I come here friendly waitress, bartenders smiling, and the food is perfect!!!

The only reason I’m giving this review two stars instead of one is because they were better in the past. I used to visit this location maybe once a month, but they have now lost my business.
I took my family to this Applebee’s last week, and it was absolutely awful. The waiter was texting on his phone while bringing us our drinks and food. The food looked and tasted as if it were microwaved rather than cooked fresh. The waiter forgot to bring certain dishes of our meals, and forgot some of our drinks. On top of that, most of the time we were there the waiter was talking to other patrons that were sitting at the bar about sports, rather than working… Which is probably why he forgot to bring us quite a few items.
The coffee that was ordered was also cold, and when we told them about it they told us they would brew a fresh cup, but instead they took our coffee and reheated it.
To compensate us for our experience, they chose to not charge us for one of our appetizers which was a total of four dollars, and the reason they chose to compensate us for that is because they never brought it out until we got our main dishes. It would have been better if they didn’t bring it out, because it was meatballs that had been microwaved and tasted awful.
I could understand if they couldn’t keep up because they were too busy, but they were not busy at all. There were maybe five or six tables that people were seated on total. Not one of us (6 people total) finished more than half of our meal because of how poor it was prepared and because we just wanted to leave because of the poor service.

Place was serene and sound. Not many people around 7:30 pm when we reached for dinner. We were seated right away at the seat of our choice. Food was good. I got lime fiesta chicken and my wife got the chicken sizzler. Both were awesome. Adequately complimented by a glass of Blue Moon.

Very poor service. Host sat us, and for 15 minutes nobody said a word. Then we hear the wait or telling host he doesn’t have time to wait on us. Host said someone else was coming and then we continued to wait. Mgr walked by and asked table next to us if everything was okay.

The chips for the salsa was stale and the main entrée took over 15 mins to come. When it did arrive the food I ordered was incorrect. The waitrees spilled salsa on my back and 1 year old daughter face. When the manager came over to ask how our meal was, we explained what happen and the manager completely disregard what we said and ask «do we need a to-​go box for our food.» This will be the last time I ever visit a applebees.

We had a terrible experience here. The server made my young kid cry. My kid accidentally dropped a milkshake on the floor and the cup exploded (cheap cup). 10 minutes later when the server finally came by our table we told her about the accident, she looked at my kid and said «thank you for leaving me a mess to clean up.» It took another 15 minutes to get our check to get out of there. My kid got very upset. We will NEVER darken the door of this place again. The service was slow. The food was okay.

You’re kidding, right? When you’ve been to one Applebee’s you’ve been to them all, and that’s not saying much. It’s corporate casual dining. There’s no emotion, no flair, no nothing. The people who run Applebee’s are soulless corporate suits who don’t know how to cook a grilled cheese much less run a restaurant.

I’ve been to this location twice and the service is incredibly slow. The last time I was there, the restaurant was not busy and it took almost 25 minutes for the sever to bring out our starting side salads. After our meal we asked for the invoice and the server stated she would bring it right over yet it took her at least 15 mins to bring it to the table. The sever was very friendly but due to the slow service, I will never eat there again.

Nice new hideaway location. First time going to this location, although it is in Short Pump it isn’t as busy as you would think.
Our server was very nice and made sure she checked on us many times.
I’m sure I will be back.

If you are in need of protein, go here… there were bugs in my ice cream. Not 1 bug but multiple bugs and it was disgusting.

It all really depends on the night here. I really like Applebee’s, but I feel like for being right outside a major shopping center, the staff isn’t really equip to handle a crowd. On a Friday night, the restaurant isn’t even half full, and you still aren’t greeted upon walking in. We waited 2 – 3 minutes to be greeted and seated.
This time we ordered some appetizers and they almost got delivered to the table next to us until we said something. Last time we came we never got our appetizer… We had to say something when our meal finally arrived. Pretty lame.
In short, they are slow… And scatterbrained. But overall the staff is friendly and it’s a fairly quite location.

A weekly spot for us to enjoy. The food is good & the service is good. Bob the Manager pays attention to detail & makes sure that everything is on point. For a «Chain» store, this one is doing a good job & we will be back SOON.

For my friend’s birthday, she wanted to share a low-​key dinner with friends at this Applebee’s. Although the dinner was filled with memorable conversation and great company, our service was extremely disappointing.
In total, our party spent 3.5 hours at the restaurant when we all expected an hour-​long, max 2 hour-​long dinner. The waiter only took our orders an hour after our arrival. We knew what we wanted to order after 5 minutes. Our meals came another hour later and two were missing. We asked the waiter if he could check on these meals, he said he did, and then couldn’t believe we were missing food 20 minutes later. The missing meals came when everyone else was finished. The manager considered these meals on the house because of the delay, but I’m not sure that really made up for the overall extremely poor service of the meal.
Ten minutes shy of entering hour 3, we alerted a waiter (because ours was no where to be found) that we would like our checks. After no response to this request, I found and approached the waiter that we would like to pay and leave. Checks came 20 minutes later. Change came another 20 minutes later after much confusion and some incorrect bills.
Not wanting to be a pain but extremely disappointed with our service, I spoke to the manager. He apologized, said the service was poor, and wished us better luck next time. Can’t speak for our group, but for me there will never be a next time.

Pretty bad service at this particular restaurant. The servers did an okay job — something you should expect, but they didn’t feel like being there.
Also I ordered a soup which they said was hot, and I ended up tasting it and being careful, but it was cold if maybe lukewarm at best. Just terrible. The servers were nice, but overall I felt an unwelcome vibe from the place.
What can you expect from a restaurant outside of a mall? Apparently not much.

I haven’t been to an Applebee’s in over 10 years or so. While on a convention in Richmond we were looking for a place near our hotel for lunch. Walking around we say this place and both thought of the riblets. I remember back in the day getting the all you can eat riblets. So in we went. We were greeted right away and taken to our table.
While we were looking over the menu our server came over and took our drink orders. We had pretty much decided to get the 2 for $ 20 meal. We both got riblets platters.
Our food came our pretty fast. For some reason they didn’t taste the same. Then again, I did have them a long time ago. Mine seemed to be a little charred, but overall it wasn’t bad. I’d go back again.
Our server was nice, and my drink was never empty. If you want riblets, then this is the place.

It’s been a long time since I ate at an Applebee’s or wrote a FTR. Tonight will settle both of those issues.
We walked over here to keep some variety to our hotel meals and were quickly seated near a TV. We elected to get the two for $ 20 menu — both of us ordered the riblet platters and I asked for a side of red beans and rice (when did they go Cajun?!). The food was ok — riblets are riblets and I would have appreciated them not burning them, but they did. However, being under a time crunch, I let it go.
Service was ok — Kiersten, our server was strung out with several tables and I think, based on her facial expressions walking out of the kitchen, the cook staff wasn’t supporting her well. Either way, I think I’ll stick to avoiding Applebee’s as before.
