Annabella’s Bakery and Cafe

I was pretty bummed with the service here. I had been there once before and waited awhile for a waitress after being seated but it was Saturday morning and they were busy and the food was good so I figured, no worries. But my fiancé and I went back one Saturday morning and we stood there for 10 minutes with waitresses running around and no one talked to us. They did not acknowledge that we were there. They were looking at us and talking about us to each other, but not one person said «Hi guys it may be a couple of minutes until we can seat you, or even hi guys we will be right with you.» NOTHING. Finally we got so sick of being ignored we left and went somewhere else to eat. The food is good but I was very disappointed by the lack of customer service. We will not be returning anytime soon.

Great little place right near the Kennebec River, the view of Swan Island is fantastic!
The owner is super nice and chose a great staff, they run the restaurant well.
I had their hamburger and it was delicious, homemade bread too! This is a wonderful bakery and will continue to support my locals :)

Quaint café with a great view of the river. Delicious sandwiches and friendly service. Turkey/​cranberry melt and tarragon chicken salad were perfect. Served on homemade bread — and freshly made pastries and cookies for dessert. Chocolate chip cookie is to die for! Very happy to have stopped in at this family run café.

I have been wanting to check this place out for awhile, so when I needed to hit up a local seamstress for my final wedding dress, I knew it would be a perfect chance to sneak a peek at it.
First off, I had figured it was only a grab and go with a few tables, untrue. Probably about a dozen tables along with some counter seating and outdoor seating. The walls were warmly decorated and everything seemed very clean.
The waitress was kind, accommodating, but seemed to have the whole place to take are of, so it was hard to get refills on coffee. The food came out fast (friend ordered, I went to use restroom, I returned to find her with her biscuits and gravy in front of her). Zoom! I got a warmed blueberry scone and it was «melt in your mouth» amazing.
They also had some baked goods to grab and go. I saw monkey bread, homemade bread, scones, and muffins! Mmmmm.
Side note: I overheard the couples on both sides of us remark how good the food was, so there you go.
