Casey helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Great service and a very personal feel. I was the only customer there for my 1 hour appointment, which was nice. The only downside was that it felt a little rushed near the end of my appointment, but that was probably my fault because I took a long time deciding on things. Overall a very nice experience and I am looking forward to trying on my first custom suit.

In short, couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I had the pleasure of having my fitting experience with Richard. He was incredibly knowledgable, friendly and honest without being pushy in any way. As a slender guy, I have trouble finding dress shirts with all the right dimensions. I now have a go-​to shirt in my closet that I don’t have to constantly tuck in the back because it’s ballooning. I recommend Alton Lane, and Richard, to anyone who wants to leave a store being supremely confident that they’re going to like the way they look (and enjoy the experience of shopping).

We discovered Alton Lane because my husband who is 6’5″ was tired of off the rack suits and dress shirts. Their custom fit clothing is definitely priced to sell and looks great on. They take several measurements to guarantee a perfect fit and it definitely is that. Richard Newcomb is awesome to work with. We do not live close to any of the stores; however, Richard has spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with my husband making suggestions. If you are looking for that custom suit experience without the custom suit price, then give Richard a call.

Great experience overall. I had a glass of scotch while Casey guided me through all the choices. I was the only customer in the showroom, which gave it a very personal feel. As a 38 year old guy with two kids, I was fairly clueless on what to pick out and Casey was a huge help recommending things that looked good.
Overall, great experience for the fitting process. I’ll update this once the clothes come in.

I don’t particularly like shopping for clothes, but these guys make it easy. I’ve had a tux made, a few shirts, and just ordered a pair of pants and another two shirts. The quality and fit (of course) are excellent. No gimmicks, or high pressure sales tactics. Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic experience designing and ordering a new suit. Comfortable storeroom, and an amazing selection of options. It was very helpful to have someone to walk you through the bespoke process. I can’t wait to pick the suit up and I’ll update this review when I do.

Amazing service and overall great experience. I was fitted for a suit and some shirt by one of the employees Patrick. He was beyond professional and courteous. He helped me pick out some great shirts. My first one arrived and the quality is not to be overlooked. It’s a shirt I will own for hears to come. I expected to be fairly uptight and conservative in Alton lane. But Patrick was welcoming and cool about all my questions. And I trusted him instantly due to seeing how well dressed and styled he was. If you need a suit or a shirt stop by. Make sure you ask for Patrick.

Great to have these folks in Richmond! They offer high quality shirts and suits (at competitive prices given the quality), and their showroom experience is excellent. Each time I have bought from Alton Lane, their folks have been incredibly attentive to me and the details of their work. Richard, the storeroom manager, is particularly great. He’s enthusiastic and knowledgeable about menswear, and the hour long appointment goes by quite quickly amid the good conversation and excellent overall hospitality provided while choosing a shirt, suit etc. Definitely worth checking out.
