Big store with a lot of nice stuff, but not enough people to help me find what I’m looking for. After a 10 minute walk I decided to go get some help up at the front desk only to have them tell me they did not have either of the two things I was looking for, a 28 inch replacement tire(Innertube), and replacement plastic cleats for softball.

This review is very specific and I actually can’t speak too much about the actual store service and merchandise. BUT, if you need your skis or snowboard waxed, as long as BT works at the repair desk, you won’t find a better deal anywhere. $ 20 gets your board waxed and sharpened in just a couple days. I’ve been bringing my board here for years and I’ve always been happy with his service. If they change people or services or whatever, then this review may change — but for right now, I come here and only here to get my board sharpened and waxed. Also, that’s the only thing that I do here.

I shop here occasionally because I work inan adjacent building. Never again. There is nobody working the floor who can or will answer questions. Merchandise is hard to find. Prices are high. Lines at the checkout are long. Why would I waste my time at a bricks and mortar retailer that acts like pre-Glasnost eastern bloc soap store?

After being a long time customer I am done. Attempted to return a volleyball net that was broken the first time it was used. They wouldn’t take it back, I had proof of purchase. They told me to contact the manufacturer because I’d had it longer than 30 days. I bought it 6 weeks ago and never tried to use it until last week. I would have accepted store credit, an exchange, anything. They were rude about it and the manager relayed the message via headset instead of telling me in person. We have a lot of options for sporting goods in the twin cities– GOELSEWHERE!!!

Staff always helps in the shoe department and if you just feel like browsing all the shoes are out as opposed to being in the back. Lot’s of sales and coupons. Good selection.

HMM… is it just me or is there absolutely no difference in the quality of snow pants with price ranging from $ 40 to $ 150??? Can someone tell me please if there is a difference because I’m not seeing it! That’s why I love this store. I can pick up a $ 50 worth of snow pants on sale for snowboarding and there’s nothing to it. I’ve seen other pants for $ 100 but it’s thinner and probably is less likely to keep you warm when you wanna be outside for more than an hour. I also like how I can always find gloves on sale(usually in the winter time of course). My bf recently bought Scott gloves and to me, they are high quality. They kept my hands warm during a walk to the lake the other day. I’m a huge fan of Sports Authority because they usually have affordable items, unlike REI where I have to save a little to buy something I really want but don’t need.
