Friendly service. Good Chinese American food for its price. The Hunan Lo mien is the bomb. Large portion and tasty.

The food is actually quite good and fresh. However, there is a horribly rude woman that answers the phones. She treats everyone badly and she can barely speaks english so it makes it very difficult to order; especially when you try to give her a credit card number. She doesn’t understand the difference between a zero and the letter O. I tried to explain one is a number and the other is a letter… and she always screws it up. I have used this place for years because they deliver… I will no longer use them… I go to Royal Chopstix now… even though I have to pick it up. I would rather do that than deal with this horrible lady. She obviously needs to be replaced. If she answers the phone when I call. I hang up and go somewhere else. They need to put people on the phone that can actually get an order correct.

For the price and food, my co-workers and I enjoy this place. We always order Shrimp and broccoli, beef and broccoli, Hawaiian fried rice. The place is your typical Chinese restaurant, where they are kind of brash, but I feel that’s just the culture. Other than that, it’s convenient and cheap.

We relocated to the Richardson area a few months ago, and have ordered from here several times, it’s inexpensive, close to home, and the food is ok(although the egg rolls are awful). Today I called in on lunch, and the guy who answered said it would be an hour for delivery, or 10 minutes for pickup. I said, ok, I’ll come in, and then he started talking to someone else about the credit card reader, said hang on to me, and disconnected the call. I called back and ordered pepper steak with onions and an order of chicken fried rice, no veggies. He repeated what I thought was correct. I got there, and I had an order of pepper steak with onions, no veggies waiting. I tried to explain what I had ordered, and he rudely told me he repeated it back to me. I apologized, and asked them to correct my order. I overheard him say«don’t worry about it, I already told her it would be an hour…» Then as I was walking out, he said«next time, if I say something wrong, correct me» I tried to answer«I thought I heard you correctly» but was cut off after«I thought I» with«goodbye» and when I opened my mouth to say more, was cut off again with«good bye» needless to say there will not be a next time, and we will be looking for somewhere else to get our Chinese food fix. See my husbands review.

The worst, I called to place a order for delivery and asked if they had a two meat combo and he said no. I work at the mall so he told me to go upstairs to my food court to get food their instaed if I wanted that and he also said go to panda express. he was a smart ass rude guy. So I just told him he made me feel uncomfortable to eat there and i didnt eat there and that was it.

Had a bad experience the first time, but it’s so close to home I gave it a second chance. I got the orange chicken, and was equally disappointed. Flavor was good but the chicken was really tough and leathery(same as the first time). Food is prepared quickly, but set aside at least 30 minutes for dedicated chewing.

Your average american-chinese place. Interestingly enough, it is actually run but natively chinese people,. You can’t expect much authenticity from this, but for what you know its going to be like, it does its job.

Nice people and fast service but the food despite the name was not very tasty. I had shrimp fried rice and we got mandarins chicken I think– I forget but it wasn’t very good– my dog even turned up her nose after about two pieces. The egg rolls were the best part of the meal and I have had frozen microwaveable egg rolls that tasted better.

I used to eat here more often because my boyfriend loved the delivery… LOL Honestly, it would be great to give this place five stars. The food is good but nothing remarkable. I do love the fried chicken wings and fried rice. But the entire place from menu to dining area has not been refurbished in over ten years. Because it’s the only Chinese food establishment in the tony Canyon Creek area of Richardson, maybe they feel they don’t need to update. But it would be a welcome change. Until then I would recommend Kirin Court for authentic Dim Sum and any of the many Vietnamese treasures like the new and elegant Phở Troung. Phở Troung offers a sophisticated and elegant interior, superior food and service and free ROBUST WiFI including ethernet ports. And no garish photographs of food plastered on the walls.

I have not been to many American Chinese restaurants but by far this is the worst one.

You would expect their egg roll to be good because the place is named after it… dont bet on it. The veggie egg roll we ate was not good. The veggie soup which costs more leaves you wondering why you paid anything for it at all. Two stars because the shrimp Kung Pao was good. The delivery guy would not leave until I placed a tip that he was happy with.

The sesame chicken and mongolian beef were pretty on point. I kinda which we weren’t served on styrofoam plates, but I’ll live.

First off, be sure to park on the side not facing the road, because the entrance is on the other side facing Tom Thumb. The interior is pretty unremarkable. It felt vaguely like a bathroom because the walls were covered with lots of those beige bathroom tiles. There were lots of booth seats and those plasticy tables. The interior smelled kind of musty. The prices are kind of cheap and you get a decent amount of food, but the food isn’t that great. The chicken I got was very stringy. The service wasn’t great either. I clearly said I wanted to eat there, but they gave it to me in a to go box. I used a 10% off coupon and the lady manning(womanning?) the register just kept saying«10% off» out loud over and over. She must’ve said it five times at least. I wasn’t sure what that was all about. There was a cup of something on a random booth table, and I assumed it was a customer’s that hadn’t been cleared off. In reality, it belonged to one of the employees, and for some reason instead of keeping it in the employee’s area he’d keep coming out to the table to drink it, and go back to the kitchen to work. What the hell? My favorite is still China Express on Arapaho.

This place is exactly what you’d expect from fast food Chinese, not any more or any less. I’d add more to this review, but their chicken lo-mein wasn’t any different, better or worse than any other place I’ve been as I stated earlier.

Ordered a few times from them now. One of the only chinese delivery places I could find delivering to the N Greenville area in Richardson. The delivery is usually quick, and the one time it took a while they told me before I ordered that delivery would about 45 minutes to an hour(took about 50 minutes). Telling the caller ahead of time is very customer friendly! I’d give them a 4 for customer service and quick delivery, but only a 2 for food. The food is very middle of the road. The szechuan beef was good, but it isn’t really all that spicy, next time I’ll order it extra spicy. The egg rolls are average in taste and texture, but small in size. 2 are about the same mass as 1 at any other chinese place I’ve experienced before. The egg drop soup had an odd aftertaste to it, almost a burnt/smokey flavor. All in all, when I just don’t feel like going out after a long day in the office, I’ll keep on ordering Tasty Egg Rolls II.

I think people that write reviews just go by initial feelings and that’s the good and bad part of Unilocal. This restaurant has stood the test of time and has been there for the long haul. It’s great food for what it is, American Chinese takeout. I frequent this place for that reason, the American Chinese food craving. Been coming for many years and will continue to. The Hunan lomein is awesome. Everything is good the moogoogaipan is awesome too, actually, I just favor noodles. People often are harshest to the chinese take out places but yet they still serve up a tasty lomein to me. Just don’t go in expecting a PF Changs but just expect good old fashion Chinese takeout. Awesome place!!!

Their chinese food is just chinese food– nothing exceptional about it. Something good to know– their spicy is not really spicy… more medium. Their egg roll was itty bitty and they messed up my order– giving me fried rice, instead of the white rice I asked for. Not that the mistake on the order was terribly surprising, given how painful it was to place the order over the phone– I don’t think I have had to speak that slowly and repeat myself that much in quite a while. Lastly, the driver, while a perfectly nice man, was way later than the time they quoted us upon ordering.
