Went here last night with the wife and kids, and as always recieved a great meal. Its always a little pricey, but that was expected. You definetly get what you pay for. Had the fillet and lobster, and loved every bite of it. Wife had some roasted chicken that was heavenly. Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for good quality steak, and seafood.

I have to say, I’m a pretty big fan of Pappadeaux ! I’ve never had a bad experience at any Pappadeaux Restaurant location. This particular Pappadeaux is no different. Hubby & I decided to have lunch here on a busy Wednesday afternoon. We were warmly greeted & immediately seated at a nice table by the large window in the front of the restaurant. We really lucked out with our waiter, Andrew! First, I have to say that Andrew has to be one of the best, most efficient waiters from any restaurant we’ve ever dined. It was crazy busy at 12:30pm…he was servicing several large tables in his area, as well as us. Our drinks were always full, anything we asked for was immediately taken care of & he was perfectly friendly & accommodating throughout our entire lunch. Okay, we’re off to a great start… For starters, I ordered a dinner salad w/Remoulade Dressing… I so love that dressing! I ordered the fried shrimp & baked potato for my entrée… it’s always a good choice. Hubby ordered the Shrimp Brochette w/dirty rice… can’t go wrong with bacon wrapped shrimp! Mmmm! We were stuffed but, decided to order a piece of 3 layer chocolate cake for the road. Later on that evening, we dove into that delectable piece of deliciousness ! Whoa… fork war! I won’t forget how yummy that was! Thanks to Andrew, we had an all around great dining experience! We will be back to this location.

Older but good location right off of 75 for you North Dallas peeps(this one’s better than the Tollway location IMO). There was a bit of a wait when we went, but no worries because they were rocking it at the bar. And how come I was never aware of their awesome happy hour? Give me a swamp thing, please and thank you. Great stand by dishes and I will always and forever have mad love for their spicy cheese grits. The seafood is guaranteed fresh and there are some healthier options on the menu as well as naughty stuff. Very attentive service and the food is worth every penny. I just wish they did a brunch here like the one by the Galleria in Houston. Then it would really be on.

We enjoyed our crab cakes and lobster bisque soup. The service was friendly. Pappadeax’s is pricier than many dining options in the Dallas area but offers up quality seafood dishes in a nice ambience, especially if you sit outside under the lights on the patio on a nice evening.

What can I say it’s Pappadeaux’s. Stopped by for lunch had the Oyster Duo and the Seafood Gumbo cup. Everything was really good. I ate some of the flaky bread and butter too so I was stuffed. 25 bucks for lunch is pricey, but that goes with the territory at Pappadeaux’s.

I called the day of to see about making a reservation that evening for 6:30…they don’t normally take reservations on a Friday night. The manager came on the line and I explained it was the restaurant of choice specifically requested by my daughter who turned 16 that day. The manager asked how many, 4… no problem she said, I have your family down for 4 at 6:30. I thanked her immensely. We arrived, it was packed, full parking lot… made our way in, told them we had a reservation and were seated within minutes. It really impressed my Birthday Girl, all smiles, and I think my husband as well. It was a busy evening, our food was great! I’ve never been disappointed with food at any Pappadeaux. Our waiter was doing his best to keep up with all tables. He managed it well and took care of us. A wonderful evening for a special reason! Thanks Pappadeaux in Richardson!

So after leaving a disgruntled review from an unpleasant family experience I was contacted by customer service and awarded a gift card for a second try. Yesterday me and a friend went for drinks and exhanged Christmas gifts and the service was a complete 360! I asked the manager if I could leave my car if I was too intoxicated and he allowed me to do so and made sure to get all the information for it so there we’re no issues. Today me and another friend went for more food and my car was not only still there but the service was impeccable too!!! They must have new management because it literally is the complete opposite of our last inattentive and unprofessional encounter. I had no problem going back for good food and good service and boy does it make a difference when you’re spending this amount. Thanks guys for knowing what true customer service is and how to achieve it! Only reason it’s not 5 stars is because it’s too cramped… but I understand they’re trying to make a dollar too! Cheers all!

Couldn’t give it 5 star just because it didn’t knock both socks off! It’s noisy but worth it. Waiter was friendly, let me make substitutions, no problem! See my pics for the food, it was delicious!

I tried the oysters –not for me– but I’ve had salt water up my nose so~ Our waiter fast and attentive. PSA politeness shouldn’t be taken as someone being flirtatious. Js:)

My third time to a Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen restaurant ever, my first time to this particular location in northeast Dallas and I must say the drinks, food and service is exceptional!!! We arrived on a rainy Friday night around 7:30pm and were quickly seated. Our waiter took care of us, was very attentive and quickly cared to our needs. He recommended the Captain Hurricane for a tropical mixed drink and it hit the spot. I ordered the Pappadeaux platter(half portion shown) and the crawfish, stuffed shrimp, hush puppies, shrimp and catfish fillet was succulent, spicy and flavorful, always a favorite here. I would recommend anyone around Dallas to eat here. OVERALL: Exceptional food, service and drinks, definitely will return.

I’m a total fan of Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, but in my old age, I just can’t handle the grease, salt and spice. That didn’t stop me from devouring as much food as I could in sight. We ordered the PAPPADEAUXPLATTER that came with Fried catfish fillet, shrimp, blue crab cake, stuffed shrimp & stuffed crab with French fries. It was very tasty! For appetizer, we got the sampler platter. We really liked the cheese and shrimp fondue. The fried Alligator was delicious. They make their drinks nice and strong and were reasonably priced. For dessert, my husband especially liked the banana pudding and crème brûlée. I was partial to the pecan pie. Soooo yummy. Here’s a tip though: Make a reservation or you’ll be waiting a long time. As we slid past the long line of people waiting, we got some side eyes… but we didn’t care because tasty food was waiting for us.

One of my cousins likes to visit Pappadeaux’s each time she’s in town. This go round I decided to give the seafood cobb a try. I have tried their oysters duo appetizer, platters of fried foods, sampled shrimp and grits dishes, etc. Thus far, I think I like the oysters baton rouge the best, followed by this salad. It’s tasty, but overpriced. I opted to add Caesar dressing in addition to this pretty bland vinaigrette it is served with. Dash of salt and we were in business. Table for 6, estimated 45 min but turned out to be less than a 20 min wait on Sat night, server was a tad on the slow side but nice enough. FYI: the patio has two areas with sofas out to the north of the entrance with heat lamps… if you have a wait time on a chilly day/night.

Pappadeaux is a pretty solid restaurant to get your cajun fix on and definitely has fast enough service to come by for a weekday lunch. I came with a party of almost 20 and they had no problem seating all of us with your ur reservation and getting us in and out in about an hour or so. The food comes prefaced with French bread rolls which were delicious since we were starving when we arrived. They do have a lunch menu which is nice with tons of different options! I opted for the gumbo/catfish poboy combo for 14.99 and thought that both items were very good. I will say that the gumbo was a little more watery than I expected but the seasoning was perfect. You can ask for a bottle of hot sauce to add a kick to your meal if you want. Most people had pretty large portions for their meals and you can expect to pay 15 – 20 for most dishes which isn’t unusual for a seafood joint! I would definitely come back to get my cajun fix!

This location wasn’t too bad. Usually Pappadeaux’s service is slow as molasses but when we ate lunch here today, we got our food and check fairly quick. Food was good as always and drinks were on point. I freaking love Pappadeaux’s! Try their Spinach dip. It is delicious!

Cajun in Texas. Who knew!!! For a southern chain this place has what it takes to keep people coming back for more. Great service, eclectic décor and great food. Came here on a business trip. Had the boutin– delicious; jambalaya– flavorful; tuna and crab dish on a garlic butter sauce– incredible! The sauce had sliced roasted garlic and lemon which tied the dish together. As if we had not eaten enough, we had the bread pudding soufflé which was incredible. Great location. Highly recommend coming here.

A friend told me not to miss the opportunity to eat here while I’m in town on business. They were right! The food is fantastic. I started with the Louisiana Seafood Gumbo. It was rich and lovely with just the hint of a kick. There is Louisiana Hot Sauce on the table for anyone who wants it a little spicier. The crusty bread with the meal was perfect for soaking up the last of the broth in the bottom of the bowl. Then I had the Pasta Mardi Gras. It’s a huge portion and really delicious. If you are a fan of creamy seafood pasta dishes, this will be right up your alley. I highly recommend it. It comes with garlic bread. Honestly I took home half of it and have more than enough for tomorrow’s lunch.

Crabfingers are the bomb. Sautéed or fried — you can’t go wrong. I kind of went overboard with the crabfingers and ordered sautéed ones as an appetizer and ordered it fried for my entrée. No regrets. If you order it sautéed it comes with dirty rice and if you order it fried it comes with fries. Win win. I’m a huge crème brûlée fan and pappadeaux’s crème brûlée does not disappoint. And it looks pretty too! Service was exceptional. Our waiter, Aaron, was very attentive and constantly checked on us to see if we wanted more bread and butta and to see if we were ok with our food and drinks. I would be a regular if I could afford it :)

Love me some Pappadeaux Note to all, if you come for lunch, try to get here about 11:30. Plenty of parking and no wait. They have so many great things on the menu that today I tried the Tilapia Lafayette. Its a dish with grilled talipia, with shrimp, crab, capers, tomatoes, basil on top with a great Beurre Blanc sauce. It was very good, but for $ 19.95, I t thought it would be bigger. It comes with spaghetti squash, and asked my server if I could have a side salad instead of the squash, and you can for an extra $ 1.95. Oh well… Service was good, the bus boys were quick with refills, and had a decent $ 25.00 lunch. Stay hungry my friends…

The food was good! The service here is UNBELIEVABLYBAD… We waited and waited and waited some more. The fiancé was cranky because he was HUNGRY and getting to be a real grump. 30 minutes later the bread finally comes. I beg him to please not make a scene because I don’t want anyone spitting in my food. I said I would let him get angry after the meal, but by that time he had eaten and settled down some. Our waiter was entirely scatter brained. Probably because he was overwhelmed with how many tables he had, but still. He had like 5 tables at once and was running around like a mad man, stumbling with the special, and didn’t know the price of a pound of crab off the top of his head. He gave another table that was already eating what should have been our breadbasket. You guys desperately need more waiters at a busy place like this. He should have only had 2 tables. I can’t believe it would be so difficult to find more waiters. I think the Pappas restaurant empire could afford to hire enough staff. Our appetizer was very good. Oysters and shrimp were served on a bed of ice. They tasted very fresh. God, I love oysters. The king crab was sweet and meaty. They serve it with a neat little candle warmer to keep your clarified butter warm while you feast. Waiter forget to bring out the crackers, so… we couldn’t eat for another 8 minutes or so. I could have done with another crab leg or two for the money, but the crab itself was very good. I had the key lime pie for dessert which was very tasty and had just the right amount of crust.(A little extra like I like) I would have preferred it to be a little less custard-like, and a bit more lime flavored, but nonetheless it was good. NO one should have to wait 30 minutes for bread and drink refills, and have to spend 2 hours altogether a whole dinner. It’s ridiculous. We probably won’t go back even though we enjoyed the seafood.

I was in town on business and didn’t know anything about the area. My sales manager suggested to have Cajun food. Why not? I liked Cajun food I had in New Orleans. When he mentioned«Pappadeaux», I didn’t know they have one here in Dallas area. I was actually a little sad earlier that I didn’t have layover in Houston this time and I thought I was going to miss my oysters at Papadeaux. When we arrived shortly after noon, this place was busy! I think we took the last table available for that moment. Despite of how busy they were, the service was prompt. Our server was attentive with great smiles. I started my lunch with oysters appetizer. I unwillingly offered to share with the group, but they kindly declined and I ate all 12 of them. They offer two types of oysters, $ 3 difference per dozen and can’t decide which one I like better. Our table shared fondue appetizer. Mushrooms inside add nice flavor to cheesy dips. Very flavorful and thick, easy to get full just from this appetizer. For my entrée, I had shrimp gumbos. It tasted like gumbos I had before and I enjoyed nice stew. I also tasted today’s special blacken catfish with Alexander sauce and dirty rice. The sauce had a nice Cajun spicy flavor, it complimented the fish and the rice. It wasn’t overwhelmingly spicy at all, just moderate for Cajun and I am glad I didn’t order one for me as I would eat the whole thing. Very good lunch, but I needed to save room for my desert. For desert, I had Crème brûlée. I mean we shared one. I ate about a half of it, and the rest of the table had shared the other half. Crème brûlée could be hit or miss but they brought sample to the table and when I saw the thickness of the plate, I knew it would be good, and it sure was good. Overall I was pleased with everything I ate and we had nice lunch. A fellow Unilocaler from Phoenix said we have one here too. I didn’t know! I thought I had to fly to Texas to eat their food but now I know they have one around the corner. Both Houston and Dallas ones were consistent with the food quality, can’t wait to try one in Phoenix.
