Every 4 star review is mistaken. You need to try Kasra and try the eggplant. You will have a crazy experience. Try the rose water puddings too! M&M

This place is delicious! I love the complimentary feta cheese and naan. Also, the hot tea and Turkish coffee are nice compliments to the food. My favorite dish is the Fesenjoon, but I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve had to eat here. I’ve heard their baklava is good and can’t wait to try it –if I ever have room in my stomach! I may have to get it «to go» because their portions are very large. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you receive. The service was also very pleasant and prompt. Parking is convenient and free. Definitely recommend :)

I can honestly say this place has the best kebabs and rice I have ever had. If you like spicy, try the tabrezi. And don’t forget to ask for ‘green sauce’ to go with the rice.

This is really good food… great friendly service. I’d recommend the lamb… it was delicious as were the vegetables and rice. Oh you must try the baghlava(spelling?). It is AWESOME! I’d definitely come here again!

Love the food and the environment. Not many people know how to make Persian food the way it’s supposed to be but these people know for sure!:-)

The service was very good, and our waitress very friendly. The food is delicious, I had a stew(Gaymeh Badenjan) that was incredible. My wife had the Gormeh Sabzi, and was very impressed with the taste. While the shopping center outside is a bit run down, inside is incredibly well done and very inviting for date night.

Fabulous, fresh and authentic! The chicken kebab was succulent. The stewed okra was perfectly cooked, reminded me of my mom. I wish I lived in the area, I’d be a regular. The service was also exemplary.

Food is usually good but not as good as Persian restaurants in NY/CA or even Houston. But I’m giving 4 stars since there’s a serious lack of Persian or Afghani restaurants in DFW area. So some mediocre restaurant is better than none. But we definitely need more places here that offer great authentic Persian/Afghani food. This place has an interesting atmosphere which is an unusual combination of fancy/casual. But it’s not a dressy place. In fact from outside it looks very plain & mundane. But inside they tried their best to make it look more festive/fancy. The food & service is sometimes good but inconsistent and often they take so long to bring out the dishes, even the appetizers. I think it’s a good place for dining with large groups when waiting for food is not such an issue with all the conversations and they do offer plenty of seating and few large tables.

Food wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad either. If you ask what I ate I couldn’t tell you what is what to be honest. One of the best thing I like was the flat bread and soup. Oh I try this pudding like dessert it honestly taste like soap. The atmosphere was pretty nice feels like your in another country lol. Overall service was good, décor was nice but food was eh 50⁄50.

Love love love! I had kasra for two consecutive days and absolutely loved it! The white rice is soooo good– I don’t know if it has butter or saffron but it tastes amazing… And the chicken and beef kabobs were seasoned perfectly and were great! I’m not an eggplant person but my cousin tried it and said she loved it. Also the tea was really good! Definitely recommended!

NOTCLOSEDONSUNDAY! Great little buffet in an older Richardson strip center. Service is hit or miss depending on who’s working. Lovely ambience, reasonably priced AYCE for kababs, and all the fixings. Great for those craving a taste of the Middle East or those who just love oniony-meat on a skewer goodness!

Absolutely Wonderful!!! Food was the best I’ve had in years, the service was top notch, and the price was reasonable. Had meal, dessert, hot tea. .all for under $ 20. I have a nice meal for tomorrow due to great portion size… excellent choice… worth the drive… definitely I’ll be back.

went here with my friends and we all had a great time… however… the food is kinda boring… i tried my other friend kebabs and they all sort of bland, enough salt. Rice was fluffy but boring. other appetizer was just ok. I’d say this is similar to the other one i went to –Alounak

My family and I have been going here for years. The food is always great and if you go to their buffets you get a great selection for a great price. The eggplant dish is SO yummy! The rest of my family always gets koobideh and loves it every time. Their yogurts are always fresh and oh so yummy :) Now… The service… well it could use some help. They are always polite but just so slow. I’ve had some of the best Persian food here but don’t we all love having some naan with our meal. That could be a minute. If they could get some more help be faster and more consistent with their service this place would really be wonderful.

I had the lunch buffet recently and it was pretty good. I went here in the middle of the afternoon and there were still quite a few people watching soccer, so the food still tasted mostly fresh. The service was excellent, and I’ve never had such soft and tasty eggplant — that was definitely my favorite dish. I wasn’t sure what Persian food would be, but it seemed to be a cross between Greek and Indian, and not very spicy. I’m giving it 3 stars as $ 12 seems like a lot for a buffet, which is why I probably won’t be going back. It was good but not remarkable.

Food from the Mediterranean region is probably my favorite cuisine, as I can get a lot of flavor with not a lot of carbs(when choosing items carefully). I found Kasra on a Unilocal search, and decided to check it out for the lunch buffet. As others have noticed, it’s in a less-than-beautiful strip mall in Richardson, but don’t let that discourage you. The décor is very nice inside, with linen tablecloths and a server that brings you the bill at the end like a normal sit-down restaurant. A full bar is available as well. Regarding the food, there’s not a huge selection of items, but the items I sampled were mostly good. Perhaps most disappointing was the flatbread; it had a stale texture and just wasn’t really useful for anything besides a pusher for my fork. Roasted hummus was about average; a little hot sauce perked it up some, but again, with the sad flatbread, it wasn’t a star. A dish featuring lentils and goat was quite a bit better, with firm but not crunchy lentils and flavorful, tender meat. Squash/zucchini mix was quite good, not oversalted and the vegetables still had some body. Best dish of the day was the eggplant; it had an excellent flavor, succulent sauce and the eggplant itself was the perfect texture. This dish alone probably elevated this review a whole star. Meatballs were pretty good, but a little touch, almost like they had been mixed too much during prep. Skewer steak & chicken dishes were moist, flavorful, not tough and smelled very fragrant. They were great with the hot sauce. All in all, I had a good meal here, but I’d hope for a greater selection and certainly fresher flatbread next time.

Lunch buffet is really good, probably my favorite buffet in town right now. The eggplant dish and green bean dish are far more delicious than anyone would expect. They also have red pepper sauce and a garlic spinach sauce that are perfect sides for your kebobs. The hummus is really smooth and delicious. The quality of the dishes in general is surprisingly good, and keeps me coming back to try something new. Service is generally really good, and the atmosphere is great for a relaxing low key lunch. Nice linin table clothes and good quality silverware are a bonus. They’d have a 5 star review from me if one of two conditions existed. 1. The price was lower, seems they’ve increased their cost recently or started charging for soft drinks(might be my imagination). 2. Or they brought back the gyro meat to buffet. They only have beef and chicken for meats currently. Also I wish they would put some small ramekins out for the red pepper and spinach garlic sauce(even small plastic solo cups would be great). Also I would need fresh UNCUT pita to the table.(I always ask for a whole pita as I like to make a sandwich but I rarely get it)
