For the price, which is way less than anything with comparable amenities in the area, this is a decent place. The carpet is worn and the hallways frequently smell of the laundry room which is a bit sour. My room was run down with many things not working quite right: — Microwave turntable inoperative and does not allow adjustment of power level. — Kitchen sink plumbing is loose. — Toilet runs continually wasting water and making noise. — A/C does not have an auto setting so the fan is always running. — TV does not have a decent selection of channels(can’t watch the Texas Rangers, unacceptable). — Room is just run down in general with deeply worn carpet and a generally dog-eared look to things. — I notified the front desk twice about the running toilet and just gave up on that. It’s mostly wasting water. OK, so now the positives: — The pool is nice and the courtyard area is nicely landscaped. — The staff are generally responsive and friendly. Certainly I wouldn’t be put off by any interactions I’ve had. — The laundry machines work fine and are usually available. — The white glove treatment on my room scored perfect. The shelves and surfaces were clean as a whistle. I got a notice under the door a while back that they would be entering the room to evaluate it for an upcoming renovation. This is definitely overdue and would make a big difference, but for now, the location works fine for me. I evaluated alternatives such as In-Town Suites(EWWW, forget it) and Residence Inn(way too rich for my blood) so I have to say that this is the Goldilocks place regardless of any shortcomings.

Do yourself a favor and book a room somewhere where the counter people aren’t rude, the housekeepers actually clean and restock and the halls don’t smell like dumpsters. The ice machine doesn’t work and all the lady at the counter told me was to use the ice trays in the freezer, that’s great if I only wanted one or two drinks. All the doors slam really hard, so this is all you hear day and night. But the lady who posted before me was right about one thing, nice courtyard!

Found this hotel using Hotwire by selecting the price and viewing the property name afterward. For just under $ 50/night, we secured a room here for a mid-week trip to Dallas. This place is somewhat hard to find if you don’t know where it is: the sign is small, and it’s nestled behind a few buildings. Just turn in when you see a Wendy’s, and you can get there fairly easily. Your GPS might get a little confused though. The unremarkable exterior did not prepare us for what we found when we opened the doors here: double french doors open to a high-end-looking lobby, complete with library, marble-looking tile floors, several sitting areas, and a fireplace. Front desk is attentive and quick, friendly and courteous. We were immediately helped and on our way to our room within minutes. The room was clean and bigger than expected, with a full size refrigerator, two-burner stove complete with dishes, and a flat screen TV and super comfortable bed. We were nearly late to check out, we slept so well; which rarely happens for us in a hotel! Also, the AC was blasting the whole time, keeping it a steady 68 degrees during the 100-degree-plus summer temperatures outside! The property itself is very well kept– there’s an interior court yard with a gazebo and a pool. Wish we’d brought our swimming suits, because it would have been fun to relax there. Courtyard itself is full of green trees, grass, and flowers, and is well-maintained. Several amenities are provided: Property also has a small fitness room, with towels provided, featuring a weight bench, treadmill, stepping machine, and a bike. Front desk gave us the password for the wifi, worked fast and consistently the whole time. Can upgrade for a fee to a higher-speed option. Can’t see why you would need it, though. Signage indicated that they have a grab-and-go breakfast set up in the morning for a few hours, but as I said, we slept in. Again, we booked for about $ 50/night through Hotwire and were really impressed with the quality of this hotel and the customer service. Website lists regular price around $ 63/night. Would go out of our way to stay here again in the future. Highly recommend, especially at that price.
