We frequently have lunch here. The food is prepared using good Cajun recipes. Owners are friendly, waitstaff is pleasant. No ambiance, but really good seafood and lunch specials.

Tried the fried rice with shrimp, chicken, and crawfish. After adding in some siracha sauce it wasn’t bad. I couldn’t finish my food so I took it home and had it as leftovers which turned out just as tasty. I’m looking forward to try one of my Cajun favorites: the crawfish étouffée which I hesitated to try because I have high expectations for it. Service was really friendly even at the hour before close. It looks like the place was just remodeled and it still has that atmosphere that makes you feel at home.

I love small businesses. I honestly feel they make the world go round. This place is a great example of that. I’m not saying this has the best Cajun food in the world. The place has a great staff, they are fast and friendly, food is wonderful. It may look empty, but I’ve gone at lunch and it’s a full happy crowd. I don’t have to worry about my food not being ready for pickup, order being wrong, etc. Check this place out!

This is more Chinese food than Cajun, I had to request dirty rice and not friend rice. I can not stand Chinese food and that was all that I smelled. Will not be going back

I wonder how do they make business. With 2 or 3 ppl during lunch on a weekday. Blackened fish is ok(but I think it’s frozen). Didn’t like the crawfish étouffée. It’s toooo old they need to renovate & improve the food quality.

Wow, I’ve been coming here for a few years now and neglected to update! So, I believe there was a management change(definitely for the better) a few years back. This greatly improved the service(family operated now) and care taken with ingredients. I come here during crawfish season for two things: the CRAWFISH the BOILEDSHRIMP Order by the pound, watch them season each batch by hand, prepare your body for excruciating and fiery delights. Get fries or hushpuppies if you’re feeling American.

As a extreme crawfish lover I am always trying out new places to find my plan-B spots when Tasty Tails and Boiling Crabs are getting too difficult… I ordered 2 pounds of crawfish and a corn… The crawfish tended to be on the very buttery side, and the butter tasted a little old so it was kind of nasty, and the corn was boiled separately in regular water, not with the crawfish boil, which mean it had no flavor at all. The crawfish size was medium, but I think it’s close to the end of season so the crawfish size here was relatively bigger than other places I had been in the last couple weeks. Oh the funny thing was, when I asked for lime wedges, I was given a whole lime, like it was uncut, lol.

My first experience here was not that bad, but 6⁄10 is what I would rate them. I came in on a Sat nite, and surprisingly there was not many people eating here. I ordered crawfish, shrimp, and crawfish fried rice. The crawfish was a little bit over cooked. Shrimp is good, but couldn’t taste the freshness in it. And finally the fried rice was ok, it was kinda salty tho. Over all the food here is ALRIGHT! Their service is OK also. I can’t say that they’re not professional, but in my opinion they should have gotten trained a little more to satisfy their customers more. Sorry but I can’t lie to give you 4 stars!

Crawfish are decent sizes. I’ve been here a few times, one day the crawfish would be big(Friday), another day they were normal medium/small sizes(Monday/saturdays). They have their own dipping sauce(probably butter and some spices) that go well with the crawfish. The flavor is decent, but I prefer more garlic taste. The other food we tried: gumbo– decent, fried catfish basket-piping hot and crispy, it comes with fries and lettuce. They can accommodate a big party. The service can be superswamped when it’s busy, you will need to flag down the waiter to ask for refill. When it’s not busy, the staff is attentive. It is family run, so they are extremely nice, but you will need to be patient if it gets busy. BYOB is always a plus, will return again.

It’s a decent alternative to Boiling Crab. However, without their crawfish boil, I wouldn’t come here. Their food on the menu(other than seafood boils) like rice and beans, jamabalya, etc. are pretty flavorless and I wouldn’t really eat them again. Their restaurant looks dirty and run down. But their service is good. There’s not much of a traffic so the waiter/waitress is usually always there for your needs. I usually get their boils to-go and they usually have your food ready or almost ready by the time you get here. I would have give this place a 2 but their crawfish boil saves.

Crawfish is ok, not great like the Cajun place inside Saigon mall. They had change ownership and the quality of food keep going down hill due to management cutting cost. Instead if taking the lost and rebuild new clients they use old food. What I am disappointed about it because they lied. I had call to ask what size of crawfish and the told me medium size when we came home it was extra small and a few mediums, not worth eating it. They rip me off 1 time but will lose my business forever. I hope it’ll b worth it over $ 30. Dishonest is the #1 reason why businesses go bankrupt.

Came here Saturday night at 8pm. Place only had 3 customers eating. Place was pretty dirty. Walls, bathroom door, ceiling all could use a thorough cleaning. Had crawfish etofe and red beans and rice. Both were just Ok, but didn’t come with bread. Service was slow at best. Best thing about this place is it was BYOB. Overall we won’t be back

Food was alright but this place may be one of the most disgusting places I’ve ever eaten. All of the booths and windows had grime and sauce all over them. The bathroom and floors were nasty too. Sauces and food were sitting on ice without much of a barrier from patrons passing by. I just felt like I was going to get sick from eating here. The place needs a serious remodel and cleaning.

I came with a group of 4 on a Friday night and this place was pretty busy. Good sign. We each ordered a pound of two of crawfish and then either potatoes or corn, or both. I had a pound of crawfish, potatoes, and corn. The crawfish was okay, decent sized and tasted pretty fresh. The spicy level was pretty on point with a slow creep. I was sad that the potatoes and corn had none of the flavor. as if it hadn’t ever made contact with the flavoring until it was put in the bag and served. Our server was nice, but swamped as everyone kept asking things from her so I wasn’t bugged. I might come back during a time that won’t be so busy just to see if the unflavored potato-corn thing was a fluke.

Originally planned to go to Boiling Crab but the line, as usual, was ridiculously long. Came here during a quiet afternoon and was greeted by the friendly waitress. The crawfish was delicious! The fries were good too — it reminded me of Crawfish Hut’s — but I would’ve like a tad bit more seasoning in mine. The restaurant itself was kind of shabby and I was surprised at how they had carpet floor in the dining area. It’s conveniently located but not much aesthetic appeal. Despite that, I can see myself coming here again. I do feel that if they revamped the dining area it would attract many more people! Would definitely recommend going here if you can’t deal with Boiling Crab’s wait time.

We thought we were headed to the boiling crab but somehow ended up here. We decided to go ahead and give it a try. Sunday afternoon and this place was beyond empty. Seriously. We were right away asked if we were going to eat crawfish and I said yes with a concerned face. I found out later when the easier brings out a plastic tablecloth to cover our table. Gotcha, you don’t want to dirty your table with crawfish juice and such, but it also irritated me when I looked at the wall and saw that it was extremely dirty. Like it hadn’t been wiped down in ages(gross!). My husband ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer. They were delicious and steaming hot! Right it off the fryer hot which was a big plus to me. We were also given ranch but I didn’t enjoy it as much add other places cuz it seemed really thinned out. I ordered the grilled catfish with seasoned rice and veggies. They served me two big pieces of fish and the«veggies» were just broccoli and seasoned rice looked to be only white rice with added soy sauce. The catfish was very good, I really enjoyed it as well as the broccoli. I didn’t take much interest in the rice, it could’ve been more seasonelold but I still ate it. For my daughter I ordered the popcorn shrimp and it also came with fries. They were decently sized for kids, my daughter could take 3 bites out of one. Fries were good too. My husband ordered 2 lbs of crawfish, 1 lb hot and the other medium(for me), and one boudan sausage. The crawfish… Omg! The best I’ve had so far in dallas. Seasoned with old bay, garlic in butter! Mmm. Sooo good. Unfortunately they dont have mild flavor, and the medium is still kinda spicy for my taste but worth it. My poor husband though left with his lips red, but he definitely enjoyed them. They also don’t give you any plates to dump the shells, hence why they put down the plastic tablecloth. As far as the boudan goes, I’ve had better. I didn’t like the way it was served, basically in a bowl of its own grease. not all that appetizing guys. Overall I did enjoy the food here, it just could be a little cleaner. The staff was very friendly and attentive, always made sure we had drinks. But seeing as we were the only customers there, they might’ve just been bored. Dedinitely recommend it though.

My friends and I didn’t want to wait in line at BC for 3 hours, so we came here instead. Worked out great since there was no line! We ordered a few pounds of crawfish and shrimp, corn, andouille sausage, fries, and fried okra. The crawfish and shrimp were decent, but kind of on the smaller side and not as flavorful as I would have liked. This place has a delicious garlic butter dipping sauce, but I wish they just threw it in the bag with the crawfish instead of having it on the side. The corn and sausage came in a pretty big portion for the price – I’d say definitely worth the money. The fries were alright but the fried okra was the bomb! Overall, I’d probably come back here, but it’s not my favorite place for crawfish season.

Flavors right on! They got the crawfish flavor down and the juiciness. Oh so juicy and filled with all the flavor from their seasoning. I can slurp the juice by itself! Wish the quality of crawfish was better though. Seemed to be frozen. But the flavors! Sweet, tangy, enough salty and spice. I got medium, so it was enough heat for myself. It’s byob, so beer and crawfish! Yum! No wait either!

Ah I came here years ago and wasn’t a fan but I came back this past weekend and WOW it has gotten a LOT better! Their crawfish is definitely comparable to Boiling Crab’s but the best part is. there’s no line! No waiting 2 hours to get a table for some overly greasy crawfish. The crawfish here is cooked just right, with the flavors infused even inside the shells. Their sauce is buttery and garlicky but not excessively greasy. They were a bit small when we came but it’s okay. it isss January. I’m just glad to be able to get crawfish this time of the year!

So sorry Cajun Corner for neglecting you all these years, but I’m happy to be in your arms again. Cajun Corner was never the place I go to for crawfish, because it wasn’t good, and it seemed like we got cheated on how much crawfish they gave us. I only came here b/c it was cheap and convenient. It is also close to where I live and I don’t have to wait for hrs like boiling crab. Luckily, this is not a problem anymore. I was told by many people that they changed owner and it’s much better now. Since it was only $ 6.99/lb, not $ 9.99 like tasty tails or $ 8.99 at BC, I gave in even though it’s not crawfish season right now. To be fair, the price difference is due to frozen crawfish vs. fresh crawfish. I know it’s blasphemy to eat frozen crawfish, but these were good. The sauce was so fricking amazing, and you couldn’t really tell the crawfish was frozen. They were so succulent, and I couldn’t stop licking my fingers and eventually drank dat sauce. The crawfish sauce is available for sale for $ 3.99 a bottle. Fresh crawfish will be available in Dec. so I’m very excited to come back soon. They typically have a deal where it’s buy 5lb and get one free, but not at the moment. I hope this place gets more business, b/c their crawfish is pretty delicious. The ambiance isn’t the best, but it doesn’t bother me at all. They do offer an extensive menu of the typical, classic cajun seafood dishes. We had the crawfish etouffe, it used to be super salty but the new owner fixed it and it’s better now. But seriously, crawfish is the way to go, and it’s the only reason why they deserve a 5 stars. I guess I won’t be seeing BC for a while, their 2 hrs wait is fricking ridic… ain’t nobody got time for that.
