The original place closed down which is a shame because it was my weekly lunch visit when I work in the area. This new place is closed after a very short lived month or so. They’re remodeling and opening a brand new place with new owners. Who are the owners of another Vietnamese gem in the valley. So I’m definitely looking forward to when they’re finished

The thit nuong(grilled pork) sandwich was really good. I actually like all the sandwiches from the $ 2.99 sections. Not a big fan of their special sections. The Noah banh Mi wasn’t that great in my opinion. It was a veryVERY messy banh mi to eat and the meat flavor was a little off. I don’t think it tasted anything like bulbogi! Lol

Great sandwiches, great prices. $ 4 for a bahn mi, cant beat that. I had the Saigon which was delicious. My wife had the chicken. The chicken was sorta like a chicken salad, wasnt my favorite but still good… and spicy.

I have been to Nambo’s several times and it is honestly the best Banh Mi joint around Reseda. I had the Noah; a Korean styled banh mi. It is now my number 1 choice.

My first time at Nambo was delicious. The restaurant looked nice and I enjoyed it very much. Piricing was decent and food was amazing. I tried this sandwich called«The Noah» and it was spectacular. #captn_dinhinh

I ate here yesterday and I got the number two. I also got an iced coffee. The iced coffee was a little bit sour/bitter and my sandwich was uneventful. It was a little bit spicier than normal with the jalapenos and the bread was a little too toasted. My cousin ordered the sandwich: Noah(Bulgogi) — Sliced Ribeye, Asian Slaw, Sriracha Butter which was delicious but could have used more meat. I’m giving an extra star for the good service and the colorful red walls. I like how they also accept Discover card.

I picked up lunch here while visiting a friend at work nearby. I got the traditional banh mi(forgot what it’s called but the one with all the usual ingredients — headcheese, pâté, etc.) and ordered my friend the bulgogi sandwich. I wasn’t in the shop for very long(just long enough to order and wait for my sandwiches to be made). There was no one else in there. The guy working there was polite, not overly friendly. They didn’t have too many drink options, mostly your usual canned sodas and a couple Asian bottle drinks(I was hoping for some fresh juices or fun iced tea options) — I ended up getting bottled waters. The sandwiches were ok… my banh mi was a little mayo heavy and the bread was a bit chewy and not enough crunchy, if you know what I mean. My friend really liked her bulgogi sandwich though. If I’m ever back in the area I may give it another try but at the moment I think 3 stars is enough.

Had lunch here today. The staff was super friendly and the Banh Mi was delicious. Fresh crunchy bread, good pickled vegetable to meat ratio and the perfect amount of jalapeño and cilantro. My new favorite in the SFV.

This place is awesome! Another one of my go-to spots while I was living in the valley. The owners are so nice and the sandwiches were always amazing! They never skimped on ingredients like other places are known to do. Cash only, but that shouldn’t be a problem since the sandwiches are so inexpensive. I would definitely recommend!!!

Great Banh Mi sandwiches. The«swine» is delish. Will try the«Haedyn» next which is Phở in a sandwich. Service is thumbs up. Place is nice and clean! No complaints about this place :)

My friend bought me both the Swine, and the Special sandwiches, and they were D-E-L-I-S-H… I’ll need to make a trip there myself to try the other items on the menu.

I didn’t think I’d be able to find a good banh mi place in southern california outside of Alhambra, but this place has proven me wrong! Not that there’s anything wrong with Alhambra, the land of dim sum. It’s just way too far from me. But when I searched Unilocal and saw a few different options in Reseda? Yes, please. I was craving a banh mi on Christmas, and I called this place at 11:30 asking when they would close. The lady on the phone said that they were going to close soon, but would stay open for me. I ran to my car and jumped on the freeway immediately! I got the grilled pork banh mi and a pork bao. They were both really, really good. And the fact that they stayed open for me on Christmas has made me a fan forever! I can’t wait to come back here on the weekend to try their spring rolls and summer rolls

Oh Banh mi, I do love thee. You were perfectly paired with my chrysanthemum iced tea. Your crunchy/soft bun and tender meat brought a tingling sensation to my feet. I can’t forget about your veggies, so fresh and crispy. Now that you are gone, I sure do miss thee. Great prices! Cash only*

Haven’t been back at this spot in 5 yrs since i lived out here. Went last nite to pick up some sammiches and it was just as good as i remembered. The bread perfectly lightly crisped and soft on the inside. I hate it when the bread is SO crispy that it tears up the roof of ur mouth. I got the dac biet and a friend got the cha sui(bbq pork). Meats in my sammich were pretty fresh tasting, not stinky at all. The cha sui had a great bold flavor. Love thier thier pickled veggies are thin and not bland versus the thick cut from Lee’s. LOVE Vietnamese sammich pâté and mayo i would be so happy just to eat a mayo pâté sammich any time! They’re always so sweet and generous there. Bummed i didn’t get 1 to-go for lunch today: /

Cash Only. No fufu. Authentic Vietnamese sandwiches, desserts and drinks. Family owned. Run down looking and more of a To-Go spot. I remember being a kid when mom used to take me here. I’d always want the«Banh mi xui mai» sandwich. The bread was always perfectly crispy and the«xui mai» was always flavorful and delicious. I recently came back and the place itself(décor or lack there of) along with my favorite sandwich tasted exactly the same 20 years later. I walked in and left feeling like I was 10 years old again, don’t you love that?! «Xi mai» is like the Vietnamese version of the American sloppy joe except sweeter and served in a toasted French baguette with pickled carrots, daikon, sliced jalapenos and cilantro. For less than $ 4 a sandwich you get authentic Vietnamese flavors. The place really doesn’t look like much but the sandwiches are delicious! Park along Reseda Blvd or in the back lot just try not to get deterred by the location or shop.

This is how you make banh mi! Don’t let the B grading on the window fool you. These are solid sandwiches. This place has been around forever. Definitely comparable to the banh mi you can get in the OC. I always get the banh mi sui mai. The bread is always fresh and soft. The price is great and they’re very friendly. Remember if you don’t like spicy things tell them not to put the peppers in because I think they automatically put it in every sandwich. They also do catering here if you’re interested. My mom always gets banh uoc(rice noodles) from here.

Came here with my wife and brother in law. He was craving banh mi, so we drove around desperately hunting for something… of course, I don’t think he came to the full realization that we weren’t in Westminster, Garden Grove, or San Jose. This is a small joint, in between Phở So 1 and Phở 999, literally. My wife, more familiar than the area that I am, had no idea this place existed until we Unilocaled it and checked it out. I got the shredded chicken banh mi and my bro in law got the meatball banh mi. He wolfed it down and later said that he found it a bit greasy. Mine(shredded chicken) wasn’t bad. I didn’t find it too greasy. If anything, I’d say it was on par with what one would expect having eaten banh mi before. This is one of those places where most people would just order to go. My bro in law wanted to sit and enjoy(he’s the«I like nice ambiance and want to enjoy my meal here» type). This place wasn’t quite one of those places. I usually get my banh mi to go anyway. At the very least, I guess we’ll have another place on the list of places to get banh mi in the Valley now.

Incredible Sandwich. Fresh bread. I have been coming here for years. This place has been open for over 17 years. I like the amazing fresh toasted bread. and the original meat ! The meat inside is dont ask dont tell«pork» 3 different kinds 1 head cheese other is pork and other is pork patte. the pickled carrots and turnip are tasty with fresh herbs as well. I always get it to go. This place is a dive but is worth the OG mom and Pop version. My advice is to eat the OG Banh Mi’s vs the white bbq pork. Must try and its cheap!

Don’t let the unattractive hole in the wall appearance fool you! This place is definitely worth trying if you want something quick and cheap.(ayo CSUN students) Randomly stumbled upon this place through the Unilocal app and tried it with a couple of my friends after a gig we had in the area. They really make a great banh mi for a VERY reasonable price. And the thing is huge! I had a hard time finishing mine, can’t say the same about two of my friends. I ordered the charbroiled bbq pork banh mi, only $ 3.50. The baguette was toasted perfectly, all nice and flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. The pork pieces were so tasty and tangy. It’s topped with some s ort of pickled radishes or something, carrot strips, cucumber, cilantro, and a hot pepper for a nice kick! They prepare everything right in front of you, so we could see that all of the ingredients were really fresh and that their little work space was very clean. This is a small family-owned business, and they are so friendly! When we were speaking to the owner, he said that they’ve been their for 18 years with a huge grin on his face. They were very accommodating– there aren’t too many tables for dining in, and the 1 or two people that were sitting at the bigger table moved to the smaller one so that the 4 of us could sit comfortably. We’ll be back!

Wow, How can so many people be so wrong. As the rating states, this place is Meh, and I’ve definitely experienced better, way better. After picking up supplies at The Continental Art Supply store, I figured I’d drop by this place to pick up some Banh Mi since it’s only a short distance away. Instead of getting the obvious pork banh mi which everyone seems to get and raves about, seriously people, there are other banh mi other than bbq pork. Just like there are other vietnamese dishes besides Phở. So, I got the #3(shredded chicken w/pâté) — $ 3.50 and the #10B(Nam Nuong) — No Priced but around $ 4.00. My Total for both sandwiches was $ 7.85. The #3 — It was basically chicken that had been boiled, then shredded and then after I ordered was heated up in the microwave. The chicken was seasoned with light salt and pepper. It wasn’t half bad but not what I was expecting. I thought it was chicken that had been bbq/roasted then pulled, like a pulled pork banh mi only with chicken, but obviously that wasn’t the case. Also, the menu says that there should be some pâté, but I couldn’t taste any of it. The #10B — By definition Nam Nuong is Pork Sausage usually wrapped around a sugar cane and BBQ or Oven Roasted. That was what I was expecting. Here’s what I actually got. The lady owner grabbed some Nam and started to unwrapped it from the plastic casing. Cuts up the Nam and puts it in the microwave. I’m sorry but putting Nam in a microwave does not make it Nuong(BBQ/Roasted). Would I come here again? NO. Would I recommend this place to friends and family? Yes, Only if I hate them. The only reason why I’m giving this place 2 stars is because of the service. The owners were really friendly. But food wise, this place is really a 1 star.

Never had Banh Mi, but I love sandwich’s, so this should be a no-brainer. I had the traditional and the bbq pork. Both were delicious, and tasty. I also had a sticky bun, never had of those either, and wow. It was like taking a McGriddle bun and wrapping it around the sausage and egg, and then eating it all together. Amazing! The place does smell weird. Having only eaten Vietnamese food in Paris(I know… weird right) at an open air restaurant this close, confined, small place really held in, what I am thinking was traditional Vietnamese flavor smells… but getting over that the place was pretty clean and sparse. The woman behind the counter was helpful and polite and she asked if I wanted peppers in my sandwich, which was nice of her as my white skin clearly shows that I am not built for heavy spice. However, being the adventures eater I am I said ‘Oh peppers? Sure’. Well my friends, let me offer one piece of advice… DON’T GETPEPPERS! Haha, it was sooo spicy. But duh, right, they are peppers. When I go back, no peppers. but I will order some new sandwich’s next time, but for sure a sticky bun. Man that thing was good. One last note. If you don’t eat the sandwich right away and need to re-heat it, use the microwave not a toaster over. The bread stays nice and soft in the microwave, but turns rock hard in the toaster oven.
