We just had an amazing dinner. The food was so yummy. The staff was so nice to both my children. We ordered the Family Dinner. We had so much food for a great price. Other places I leave feeling not satisfied. We had so much we had to get a box. Great place. Very kid friendly and welcoming.

2.5 stars??? What kind of people are reviewing this place? I love the food here and the lady working is very friendly. I always take it to go and it’s warm and ready when I get home and it always fills that big void in my belly that sucks up everything.

I just spent $ 30 on different dishes there. The orange chicken so dehydrated and dry I gave up chewing after 20 chews. To my dog. The Mongolian chicken again dry no sauce. Awful. The chicken fried rice I can’t even describe — just worst I’ve ever had. The salad and rice ended being the only thing I could consume. I am super disappointed.

I am very surprised to see such poor reviews about this place. Toshis is the best teriyaki place in the East Side. Their food is delicious, the servings are really large and the service is awesome, the owner always has a smile on her face to welcome you. If you are picky about your teriyaki as much as we are this is the place to come for it!

If Unilocal had 0 start thats what i would rate this place. Food is super dry and it tastes like its been in the fridge for 8 days and was just preheated. Chicken is not cut well and is about 2 inches wide. Took them about 4 minutes to prepare my food making me think the food is already prepped in the back and not fresh. Defiantly will never come back here.

Toshi’s is your typical strip mall teriyaki place. You get your usual lettuce, scoop of rice, and meat. Portions are good, service is better than average. They charge about $ 4 more per dish than I’ve seen everywhere else, for some reason. Since there are cheaper places nearby, Toshi’s will be passed next time.

Greate chicken teriyaki! Very large portions for the money and fast service.

Why is this place so expensive? Looking at the price, it gives you the perspective of getting«luxury teriyaki» but that is sooo NOT the case. I love trying new teriyaki restaurants because it’s all so different. And although toshi’s sound like one of those big Japanese franchise teriyaki joint… it clearly lacked in quality and I was very disappointed. Lady at the counter was nice, but wasn’t very efficient. Service overall was pretty slow for a small mom and pops teriyaki joint. Food? Not so great. My chicken teriyaki was drenched in sauce… tough and dry chicken didn’t help either. It’s a big no. This place wasn’t for me.

The pricing is a little weird, some items are high for low quality food and low for higher quality. But they do offer free hot tea! We ordered chicken teriyaki, yakisoba noodles and orange chicken. It all came out INSANELY fast! Which makes me wonder if they have a lot of pre-prepped food in back. Most of it tasted ok but was a little over cooked. If I was in the area again, I might stop by but there is a lot of choices in restaurants I would choose first over this one.

I think this is the best teriyaki place in Renton. I am noticed by the server with a smile every time I walk in and within 8 minutes, my food is at my table. The food is excellent, my favorite is the spicy chicken. Not unbearably spicy, but has a lot of flavor. Very authentic customer service and the price is pretty good too. I would definitely recommend this place to others!

Well this is my hundredth review I thought it would be somewhere more spendy or fancy but simple works. This place is 50⁄50. Its hit and miss depending on who is cooking. I eat here at least once a week and it tastes better on Thursday-Saturday for some reason and its sad they are closed Sunday when my bf and I would love to eat here. The server/hotess is polite and never messes up our order. Its always the same people here working. There’s an older woman who cooks and a couple guys. No offence but when the guys cook the food is pretty good. But watch out for the lady tonight I almost gave two stars, but I remembered all the good experinces I had. My shrimp was cooked so well their tails were black and they were rubbery. And my noodles were drenched in sauce. Even though tonight wasn’t my best experience I’ll still come back.

Everything about the place is completely mediocre. The salad was fresh enough, the rice was just rice, and the chicken was tender enough but pretty bland. My server wasn’t rude, but she never really checked on me. Even the music was dull Christian radio. I wish something bad would have happened, then the experience would have at least been memorable.

wow, probably the worst teriyaki place i have ever been to in my life. i have had better beef jerky that taste better than the quality of meat here. wtf?! it tasted like STRAIGHTRUBBER!!! and they are charging like 10 bucks for an entrée??? ridiculous! my boyfriend should’ve used Unilocal and checked it out before he got us take out. wow never coming back here again. how are these people still in business??? digusting. poor quality food. we wanted to go back and ask for our money back because it was so bad.

Tasty food, friendly service, squeaky clean, and great portions… GREATCOMBO!!! I am for sure a chicken katsu gal… but I this last visit I tried to switch things up, and sprung for mongolian chicken… and OOOOOHHHMYYYYYY. I was so excited, I almost danced while eating! I HIGHLY recommend it… course I had chicken teriyaki with it, so I was mixed it up and it was DELICIOUS! When I was younger and came here, they used to have a different salad dressing that was SUPER tasty… they have switched it up a bit. I am not a huge fan of it-but lucky my husband enjoys it… so nothing seems to go to waste! The prices seem to be increasing, but it is good quality food… so I don’t mind much. There are far too many teriyaki spots that are cheaper… but you get what you pay for! My mouth is watering now… and I think I might need to swing by Toshio’s today to feed my craving! ENJOY!

My friend and I stopped for lunch, it looked nice and clean– had to eat lunch somewhere… We both had the chicken breast teriyaki and it was quite tasty. Prices seemed a bit high, but I really like that they have tea out for everyone… Portions were a bit large but tasty. Not sure I’ll be back because I don’t go up that part of Sunset often but will keep it in mind for the future.
