KFC

I live in Renton and have been going to this KFC for years. My last visit a couple of days ago was horrible! There was no customers in the drive thru, I think I counted about 8 employees working — no one was in the grill area to make food. It doesn’t make sense that we had to wait 20 minutes for our order. The employees was just walking around and one of them was just standing at the hand washing station and not paying attention to the fact that there was 3 customers waiting and wondering why no one was making our orders — did I mention that there was 8 employees working? Ridiculous.

Ordered a few times. Generally ok wait time with one exception of a 15 minute wait because they ran out of potato wedges.
Staff is nice though. I use the bus stop right next to it and when my water bottle is low they will let me refill without ordering or paying anything (unlike Starbucks which charges you 25 cents).

I waited 10 minutes @ the squawk box before I was even acknowledged while the drive through employee yakked with her friend in the car ahead of me… a fair assumption I think, considering the fact that no $ or food exchanged hands between these two.
For my 10 minute wait I got…(1) A shriveled up drumstick that would barely feed a small dog. (2) A root beer float (looks nothing like the pic; no surprise there) that was so watery and unappealing, I had to pull over and throw it away in the first garbage I came to. (3) The impression from the employee that I was intruding on her time. All for $ 5.85!
Most disturbing of all (and the reason I gave the drum stick to my dog) was the employee’s hands… no gloves, long germ magnet fingernails decked out in germ magnet jewelry. My dog is, after all, a fan of cat poo.
The only other thing I might add… please Unilocal… allow for less than one star as some businesses don’t even deserve that!

I went in at lunch time and ordered a KFC bowl meal. While I was waiting for over 10 mins, I noticed a woman coming on shift from the bathroom. After she clocked in she was messing with her cellphone, and we all know what we do while using the bathroom (play on our phones). After she was done messing with her phone and took her time getting her headset on and adjusting her hair. Immediately after that she started putting together my KFC bowl, before even thinking about washing her hands. She used utensils for all the ingredients up to the point of the cheese on top where she used her bare and unwashed hands to sprinkle the cheese on top. After she did that she want to a hand washing sink and put her one cheesy hand under the water spicket and lightly rub her fingers together to get the residual cheese of her fingers. I politely said «excuse me. But you just came out of the bathroom and did not wash your hands prior to making my food, and you just sprinkled cheese on my meal with your unwashed hands» her reply «yes sir I did there is a hand washing sink there, there and there. And we are not aloud to use our hands and I do not like contaminating customers food» I replied «I watched you since you came from the bathroom and you most certainly did not watch your hands and I saw with my own eyes you sprinkling cheese using your hand that you had not washed» she replies you wanna smell my damn hand?! «as she puts her still unwashed hand in my face. «Then she tells me that she will remake it» at this point ive lost my appetite all together and just walked out of the establishment. For someone who wants to make $ 15 an hour but can’t handle the simple task of washing your dirty bathroom hands is ridiculous and insulting. If your going to be a slob work at a gas station! Will not be returning here in the future and do not suggest anyone do either as the cleanliness of the place in general is poor to say the least.

Waited for my order to be taken at the drive through for 10 minutes and still no answer. My whole interior got soaked so I pulled up and she said «sorry about that» It would’ve helped if there was a sign on the screen instead of wasting my time. This place is over priced with terrible customer service.

I am utterly amazed that they are still in business! Slowest drive-​through ever. Crappy, cold food. Every time I try to come here it takes around 15 – 20 minutes to get food from the drive through. Today, it took 35 minutes before I decided to get a refund (who knows how long it would’ve taken me to get my food). No apologies given, no explanations offered, just rude service that ignored me and continued helping other customers once they knew I wanted a refund. I had my screaming, starving 2-​year-​old with me – no cares given. The ONLY way I would ever give this KFC a chance again is if they had a large banner stating «under new management» with a store manager that cares, and is efficient. Sigh, here I come Popeyes! Man I grew up eating KFC, why does downtown Renton have to have a poorly run store?

I don’t even want to give them a rating of 1 start. Customer service is very rude! All we ordered was a small root beer float and a mini Oreo ice cream it literally took them 15 mins with no car in front of us. A lady came to the window asked us if we got anything yet and we said no then we waited 5 mins for them to tell us to pull forward and they will bring it out. Took them another 6 mins and she just handed no apology or anything. So unsatisfactory for 2 small ice creams won’t be going there again!

KFC is pretty much the same from location to location. I always enjoy the mash potatoes and gravy and the coleslaw is very yummy! As for the chicken, it what you expect from KFC, secret herbs and spices are tasty and extra crunchy is crunchy tasty! This particular location seems to always be running on minimal supplies because it’s always a 5 – 10 minute wait on any chicken I want to purchase. For being fast food, it’s really not very fast at all.

I actually was going to eat at Chipotle BUT they were so RUDE I decided to have KFC instead where the customer service was AMAZING! my meal was DELICIOUS and much cheaper than Chipotle. Also, I will not end up in the hospital. So YAY. KFC 1 Chipotle 0

Well I came here to get some chicken and some root beer floats… They had no icecream and chicken took 15 mins… I’m hungry and sad now. Also the «lemonade» that I ordered as a substitute to the sadness of no root beer floats tastes like water with a tint of lemon. Now I’m much sadder…

This place is slow and smelly. It must be hoodlum Monday here on Rainier Avenue. Why are most KFCs so dirty? There is a better chicken place a few blocks away that starts with the letter P.

Was very uphappy with total cost of 8 Pieces of Original Chicken Only. $ 18 (including taxes)! I think I got ripped off! Ugh! And I am a regular customer. Ask the drive thru person, they said yup. $ 16 plus tax but had me pull forward to get a receipt that didn’t say KFC on it. Too busy to complain. So not coming back.

I’m giving this place 2 stars and that is a HUGE stretch. The one SOLO front counter clerk was very sweet and professional. This location is a combination of KFC/A&W both owned by PepsiCo. She was working the best she could to serve the customers and keep the lobby clean with very little help during a lunch time rush. I’ve worked in restaurant work myself in the past and the way this location operated the day that we were in there was insane. My husband and I had our two daughters with us, one of which is 6 years old and has Autism both were quite hungry. They apparently ran out of chicken, something a chicken restaurant at lunch time should have had hot and ready. There was a young man in the back frantically battering up and frying more chicken as quickly as he could. As soon as he put the chicken out someone would take it and give it to the drive-​thru customers and completely overlook those of us waiting inside for our food. I understand drive-​thru is the «fast way» out of a FAST food restaurant but we had to wait over 25 minutes for our food. I am not kidding as I looked at the receipt time when they finally called my name. The poor cashier girl who was working the front counter by herself was almost in tears from dealing with so many lunchtime customers upset about waiting their entire lunch period just to get food (many got refunds and left) that I actually felt sorry for her when she said she was sorry for such a long wait. I hope this is a fluke and a one-​time mess up because I don’t see how they could possibly keep customers making them wait 20+ minutes inside and 10+ minutes on the drive-​thru much longer. The «kicker» to our meal was after the extended wait the chicken was just okay and the rest of our food was about room temperature. :(Cashier girl earned the 2^nd star for the review because I couldn’t go below a 1 for the store itself.

It’s lunch time (about 11am) on a Tuesday. There is only 2 people working with one of two cash register/​card reader out of order at the same time receiving a delivery. What do they do? They lock the front door without putting a sign on the door, so folks wanting to eat there are trying to break open the door giving us who ate eating inside forced to open the door and explain what’s going on.
I don’t think I’m returning here.

The staff is very friendly, professional and generous. They always get my order right and I get my food lightning fast. KFC just gets their chicken right. I’m never disappointed.

My boyfriend added I stopped here for lunch. The girl at the drive thru was pretty much yelling through the microphone. I put in what I wanted and she didn’t give me a chance to tell his order before telling me what was owed. We asked if they had diet root beer and were told that all their root beer was flat. Yet they were using it for their floats. We got to the window and was pretty much yelled again. Bad service. Won’t come back.

If you are on a time crunch and don’t mind some fast food with a whiney toddler, this might work for you. The service here was quick and they got my order correct which almost never happens for me with fast food venues, but today must have been a lucky day! I don’t think anyone can expect much for greasy fast food, so on that note, not a bad experience! Cheese curds are yummy!

I never in a millions years would have thought I would be reviewing an A&W, let alone KFC, but I think the service is worth a nod.
I stopped in on Fathers Day at open to grab a bite after running some errands in the neighborhood. The last time I ate here was about 4 years ago and I have to tell you that it made me sick as a dog, but stomach was on tilt for at least 3 days and my colon and guts were mad at me for at least two more days after that.
I was reluctant, but the combination of many years and wanting something different brought me in this day. Thought I would try a cheap burger meal but that didn’t exist. Most places have a meal for like $ 4, but the cheapest meal here was pushing $ 7. I then decided to switch to the KFC menu and ended up getting a chicken sandwich meal.
It was a good deal, I got a chicken sandwich, with bacon and two cheeses, bottomless A&W root beer from an ice cold mug and fries. Sandwich was decent, nothing special, fried were crisp, but I didn’t care for the breading or flavor. Already told you that the root beer was good.
Not a glowing endorsement for the restaurant. I can however say unlike last time, I didn’t get sick. The reason I decided to write this review was the service. Every employee had a big smile, engaged me and appeared to be happy to be there, even if it was happy to have a job. It was a more pleasant experience than I’ve had in a long while. It’s rare the find service or even a positive attitude in fast-​food. I felt good just being in these guys presence and they honestly appeared to be concerned that I enjoyed my meal.
Not having a burger, I can’t compare, but with Ezell’s and Popeye’s both in Renton I think you can’t find better chicken, but neither one, on a great day could match the attitude and service that these crew members provided today.

I’ll tell you why a kentucky fried chicken with «okay» chicken got 4 stars.
every time I go into this kfc, I can’t decide what to order! and every time I stand there and think, text-and-wait-for-a-response-because-they-don’t-serve-baked-beans-here, or squint to read the menu because I forgot my glasses, I have the same chick ring me up who is friendly and super patient. they bear with me, and stay smiling… someone from the kitchen even thanked me by name as I came up to the counter to claim my fried poultry goodness.
the chicken I’ve taken home is good. it’s what I expect from kfc. the biscuits were a little dry this last time. and the mac n cheese was like watered down velveeta. but the cole slaw? it was perfect! and the potatoes? super whipped with nice hot gravy.
I regret not getting a root beer float. I mean, there IS an a&w mixed in at this location! the orange dream thingy I got was good, though.

There was an old A&W in Kent until about 2008 when it closed down. This made me a little sad, and then I noticed one day that there was an A&W in Renton. I was super happy and I ended up going there.
Well, the fact that it shared a building and a front counter with a KFC should have been a red flag, but no. I ordered a classic burger with fries and a soda. Totally disappointed. I may as well have been at Wendy’s or Jack in the Box. I mean it was edible, but it just tasted like a normal fast food crap burger. I wouldn’t recommend it.
