Probably my favorite grocery store around. It’s typically quiet and not crowded and the prices are fine. The staff is friendly enough. The bakery had maple bacon bars(#winning)! I also have had great service in the deli :)

It’s certainly far from being a Fred Meyer, but it gets the job done. I find myself frequently here to pickup a handful of things after leaving the gym. I tend to stay away from the deli department though, as the one time we tried to get lunch meat here it ended up being cut as thick as cardboard and looking pretty gross.

Everyone either love or hate their local grocery store as for me I do shop often at my local Albertson’s and love it. They do have whatever I need and it convenience. What I like about this location is: Seafood: Fresh and amazing price Alcohol and wine/beer: The price are great many items to choose Bakery: Fresh breads and pastries — very good french bread always Hot n ready Produce: Fresh tomatoes, jalapenos, garlic, onion, peppers Meat: Their lamb is fresh and cheap — always have sales going on Deli: Pretty good Fried chicken — Monday is family pack night = cheap Team shop: Many items from Seahawks, Sounders, Mariners, Huskies, Wazzu They still push the 10 for $ 10 deal on certain items and I think this is cool. Overall, my shopping experience here is always pleasurable.

My little girl and I come here at least once or twice a week to get our grocery shopping done. As soon as we walk in, my little girl heads over to the bakery section for a free cookie. The staff are so nice in giving her a cookie! Love that! Everyone is so nice here in helping us with whatever we need especially the seafood counter lady. I’ve never had any issues with this place. Just be sure to check out your produce before you buy it. Great prices and great employees!

Let’s start at the beginning. I like the fact that the deli cuts the lunch meat as I ask for it. However, there was meat chunks left on the scale, and the scales are always having issues. Not a quick in and out. I love the fact that they have CRONUTS in the bakery case and that’s the reason for the third star. The fruits and veggies is sad and expensive. I’m thrilled that they took out the flat screen TV’s that where blaring all the time. I think the store lay out is way weird too. Kind of hard to navigate with a list. I’m at one end of the store then the other, then back again. The check out is fine. I LOVE the fact that I no longer need a club card. LOVE! I see the item I want on sale, I buy the item I want on sale. My phone number should never enter this equation! Not my favorite place to go, but will do in a pinch. Also CRONUTS!

Going to Albertsons reminds me of going to almost any chain grocery store. It is a bit smaller than what I’m used to, but it’s also not usually very crowded, which in theory should make going in and out a breeze. While it is clean, the aisles are clear of clutter and stock, the displays are all moderately clean in appearance, the place is usually also clear of anyone working there. The cashiers have always been very friendly and nice, but you can tell that most of the time that area of the store is also understaffed, but it’s not limited to the section. The seafood section is usually manned by two girls that alternate shifts, one of which is usually friendly, and the latter constantly looks and acts like I have personally wronged her in some way, with a pinched look on her face and the attitude to match. Suffice it to say, we only stop by here when we have to, like we absolutely have to, and I don’t see that changing any time soon.

I had a very terrible experience last Sunday. I tried to get some lobster tails, since it was in special sales $ 3.99 ea. I went to the Seafood section, waited awhile, no one there, no bell to ring. So I lifted up the glass cover and picked up 6 and took it out to register counter to pay. The cashier lady was very nice, she called the seafood lady to come to mark the price. The lady came out and looked so mint and upset. She yelled out that I was breaking the law. I shouldn’t open the glass gate to pick up the lobsters by myself. She took the lobsters back and said needed to weight on it. I was so upset and turn around got out the store. I see no sign saying that there is a law shopper not allow to open the glass top. And the attitude of her was so terrible making me feel like I am violating the rules. I will not go back to this Albertsons anymore. I feel being offended.

Sad to see other reviewers commenting on the lousy service. It has gone from bad to worse lately though and twice in the past 6 weeks I have left without groceries because I just couldn’t wait any longer at the deli(where the person behind the counter was doing God knows what with the already-cooked chicken for 5 minutes rather than wait on customers) and in the checkout line where I watched the checkers chat with each other while my ice cream melted. I keep telling myself I could save time driving PAST the Albertsons which is closer and on my way to QFC. The prices are better at Albertsons but I don’t have all day to wait to get checked out or served in the deli! Why do I keep telling myself I will just zip in and out of the Albertson’s rather than go elsewhere? Sad; I have been a customer here for 15 years but I think I’ve had enough :)

A grocery store where no «club» or «rewards» card needed is an automatic five-stars in my book. Just this month Albertson’s did away with that rewards nonsense. Yep, this place is OLDSCHOOL. It has the basics. I do not shop here for my regular groceries and I would never shop there to prepare a meal for guests. But the deli chicken is better than QFC or Safeway, the beer is cold with huge selection, and they have good prices on all the basic staples. I also find the parking lot MUCH easier to navigate than the QFC and Safeway on NE4th. I’m not really sure what all that remodeling was all about as this is still a grocery store that looks ancient inside and out. That’s ok… I like choices and I know where QFC is when I need it. But seriously…$ 2.37 for a Foster’s Lager… AWESOME. Now if only they would stock a decent loaf of bread.

Older Albertsons(circa 1990) — wouldn’t be my store of choice but took someone shopping. Staff was friendly(and did find my fresh cantaloupe in back).

The last time I was ever in an Albertson’s was about 6 years ago, and then Raley’s/Bel Air(this was in Sacramento) took over and renamed and changed all of the stores. This Albertson’s looks like any other of the albertsons in presentation but it is a lot bigger and has more stock than the safeway just west of it on 900. I wouldn’t expect to find any spiffy, imported fancy stuff here, but is a good place to visit when you want to save some money

I don’t much care for this grocery store… and I was hoping since it was yet another option I could walk to. Employees are almost nowhere to be found. And when you do manage to bump into them they don’t know where anything is, are rude, or just remain silent the whole time. The layout is not typical/easy to get around… And while never super dirty, the place needs some upkeep/modernizing. It feels very OLD in there. Produce is lacking and never seems as fresh as other area markets. Deals are available, but generally on items I would never bother purchasing anyway. The only saving grace in my book for this place is a fairly decent(for a grocery store) beer selection.

The only store close with Red Box. Which is really nice. They don’t have a wide selection of items. But they do have good deals. I like to save money. Also I I’ve never had to wait in line for very long.

all I have to say is DEALS… i ALWAYS find great deals when i come to albertsons. in my opinion i like coming here if i know exactly what i want to get, the customer service isn’t that great, but who goes to the grocery store for customer service anyways?! if anyone does sorry, but i dont… i strictly go there for good deals and to pick up food.

I hate this place. We live in a great neighborhood near by and the service in this place sucks, I want to get in and get out — NOTHERE, it’s like Hotel California on some days. You wait in line FOREVER! Do yourself a big favor, go the extra mile or two to QFC on 4th and Duvall and see the difference. Like the last rater, I only go there when I am REALLY desperate for something. Or if I go early in the morning. Better customer service and faster check outs would possible make a better supermarket.

This is my closest grocery store — but I tend to only go here when I am full-on desperate(read it is snowing outside and I’m going to walk to the store rather than drive). I only wanted to pick up a few items and decided that it wasn’t going to be as bad as I remembered. As we all know, Seattle freaks the eff out the second the first flake starts to fall — so I was fully expecting that lots of crazed people to be at the store. People buying wood, milk, soup, and hot cocoa were swirling everywhere. The store was sold out of a lot of Campbell’s — no joke. This Albertson’s doesn’t carry a huge variety of anything. Only yellow onions. Two kinds of apples. Two brands of cranberry juice — just your basic stuff. I try not to come here often — but its fine for the basics and very handy to having something within walking distance…
