I’m blown away by this place! We came in to order clams for a party and decided to stay for dinner. Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and delicious food! My husband and I both had the sea food platter and neither one of us couldn’t finish it. It was so tasty! I can’t wait to come back!

Wow! This was delicious! I splurged and went with the crab legs. They were huge and tender. I really liked that they were pre cut so they were easy to open. My sister had the flounder and my mom had the scallops. Both were excellent. This is not a fancy, table cloth place. This is just about tasty food. The fries were very good, so was the coleslaw. I didn’t care much for the macaroni salad but my sister liked it. Next I’m in time, this will be my first stop!

My boyfriend and I came here once. Ordered our meals to go. Took like 20 minutes for it to be ready. Brought it home, took one bite, and the fish was bad. Spit it right out, threw it all in the garbage, and will never go here again.

Such a great place. I’ve been coming here with my grandparents since I was a little kid, and the quality of the food is just as stellar as it was then. Fast service and delicious fish fries!

We had two fish fry dinners, one with curly fries and cole slaw, the other with regular fries and macaroni salad. Fish was done perfectly, as were the fries. Service was fast and efficient. Prices are very reasonable.

I’ve been living in East Greenbush for 13 years and went for the first time last week. Food was fresh and came out quickly. Scallops were great! Only downside was cash only.

Excellent, fresh seafood at a fair price. Had the fish fry tonight. Will try the broiled seafood platter next time. It looks great.

Very good little fish place in the greenbush area. Very friendly staff and good pricing. The fish is pretty good and nothing ever feels wrongly made. I like this place and will continue to go here if I ever want fish dinner!

Great seafood dinners, eat in or take out. Coleslaw is possibly the best out there. Nice large portions, simple and on point. Bring cash, no cards accepted.

«Off Shore in place but not taste» by Josh K. Reminiscent of a seaside New England clam shack in all but appearance, why Off Shore Pier, a small seafood market and restaurant offering fresh seafood, an extreme rarity in these parts, isn’t completely packed with lines out the door is beyond me. Perhaps its inconspicuous settings amid the suburban hubbub of very much inland East Greenbush could be the reason for Off Shore’s lack of crowds. However, this is a local Rensselaer county gem that I am happy to report is still(save this review) relatively unknown. With the seafood shipped in from Boston daily, where else in the Capital Region can you snack on fresh fried whole belly clams or get your bluefish or bass fried or broiled to order. Tip 1: Order the Seafood Platter. Beautifully flaky and golden fried fresh haddock, fresh fried jumbo shrimp, tender fried clam strips, delectable fried sea scallops, with sides of garlicky macaroni salad a perfectly executed french fries for only 12.99. It is a monstrous portion that can easily feed two hungry adults. Tip 2: Skip the stuffy dining room, and bring your food outside on the picnic tables. Tip 3: Bring Cash. No credit cards accepted. The view of Route 4 sure isn’t the Cape Cod or Rhode Island beaches, but if blindfolded, one would never know judging from the taste alone. As a seafood lover, it is truly comforting to know that I don’t have to travel to the shore to find fresh, fried fish flavors.

Everything we ordered was over cooked. The Hancock was very dry and the fries were crispy. Most likely we will not go back.

I tried this place for lunch once, since it was pretty close to where I work. I ordered the Fish Fry Dinner, which is pretty decently priced. I waited about 15 minutes for my food to come out, which is alright, but I would probably call in and order ahead of time for pick up next time. I wouldn’t say this fish fry place is the best, since I’ve had much better even in the Capital Region, let alone other places I’ve traveled to. I wouldn’t not come back here, but I’d have to be hankering for fried fish pretty badly.

My wife and I love coming to this place they have the best fish fry in town if you are in the East Greenbush area you must stop it and have a great lunch or dinner but they do not take credit cards they only use cash so make sure you have money in your wallet usually a dinner for two cost about $ 20 there is no waitress service in this place you just order at the window sit down I’ll call your number you go up to the counter get your dinner and pay the cashier then sit down enjoy your meal

Wish I could add a 6th star! It was Good Friday and that seems to be the biggest holiday for fish restaurants! There was someone directing traffic in the parking lot because of the hordes trying to get in! There are 2 parts to this restaurant: a fish market and to go order half, with it’s own entrance and a restaurant half. I went to the restaurant side and the line was out the door! They were also taking to go orders because all the tables were taken and folks were waiting for tables! I was waiting for a table to open up before I could order. I informed the lady behind the counter that I would be willing to share at table. She then approached a table with 4 seats and 3 people and asked if I might join them. They agreed! I was advised that my order would take 30 – 40 minutes. Not a problem for me. I had a delightful conversation with the couple I was with and a gentleman, who knew the couple and was waiting for his takeout. The men were Korean War Vets. They had been there in 1952 – 53 and I was able to update them on modern day Korea. After about 35 minutes, I got my order. Everything was absolutely delicious! I got fried oysters, slaw, shore potatoes, and a crab cake sandwich! Everything was fresh and perfectly seasoned. The oysters were so tender and juicy. The slaw was not the kind with mayo but was sweet and perfect with the fried food! The potatoes were chunky, fried redskin potatoes with the skins on and perfectly seasoned! I was too full to eat the crab cake but I tasted it and am taking it back to the hotel for a snack later. While it’s not my grandmother’s crab cake, it was acceptable. The lady who took my order came out to see if I was enjoying my meal — which I thought was nice given the amount of people coming through the restaurant. I didn’t see her doing that with others. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience — from the food to the service and the overall friendliness of the place was very nice! If ever in the area again, I’d definitely return!

The food is great. Ordered swordfish which came with curly fries and coleslaw. I also ordered some steamed clams with butter sauce on the side. Only negative thing was the tables were kind of greasy.

Loved this place since I was a kid! Went for a fish fry but couldn’t resist the fried cauliflower, too. It’s walk up service so don’t be expecting tableside dining.

These beasts are pretty tasty! I usually stop at this place to get fresh fish. I mean, there is no other place that will give me 8 pounds of fresh mussels for such a reasonable price. The selection that they have there is pretty good too. They also have an array of frozen stuff that you can buy as well. Sometimes I also order a quart of the clam chowder to go. Both styles are most excellent, and I am so picky about my chowder. I’ve only ate at the restaurant part once. I got take out for myself and a bunch of my co-workers. The only downfall is that they forgot to pack my order. Everyone got their order. So, my buddies shared with me and I’ll tell ya… it was pretty dang good. I’m probably going to go back tonight so I can make some fresh fish for my roommate tonight.
