Nice atmosphere… but so so slow. I cannot comment on the food because we have been here 40 min and nothing yet. Place is packed but food leaving the kitchen at aboit 1 order every 5 min. Painful. Hope to update about great food…#realtime

Still lovin on Süp so hard, but I finally tried the broccoli cheddar soup and I think I died and went to food heaven. ITISSOGOOD! I tried it in a bread bowl(all soup should be served in a bread bowl always). The bread was so soft and I enjoyed eating that afterwards just as much as I enjoyed eating the soup out of it #fatlife. I’ll be back. Very soon. And I’m going to eat all of their cheddar broccoli soup.

Ive been reading and hearing a lot of great things about Sup so I decided to give them a shot. I have mixed feelings about the place — I want to like it… I really do, but it was just«eh» for me — reasons are as follows: 1.) The parking is horrible. It’s all street parking(I know it’s in mid-town but they don’t even have a small dedicated parking lot.) so I had to park 3 blocks away. 2.) I was expecting a sit down and order boutique reasturant but it’s really just a deli in a 1920’s converted house. There are a handful of rickety tables in the main living room area where you order and then a handful of tables off to the side room. I ate pushed up against a wall at a long table. 3.) The cups and silverware are that of a cheap deli and sitting to the side of the ordering counter — this seemed a little dirty and un-hygienic. 4.) Cashier was not friendly and seemed rushed to get through her day and go home. Things that were a little better than«eh» were: 1.) The cheesy jalapeño bread that I chose to go along with my pesto turkey ½ sandwich was tasty. 2.) I ordered a cup of soup and received the biggest«cup» I’ve ever seen — this made the meal a great value however the soup(Tomato Bisque) was horrible lumpy and bland and it wasn’t good enough to finish. 3.) Each comes with a salad and a cookie — which is cool since it was a surprise for me but the salad included dried cranberries which I detest. I chose to eat around them and the dressing was excellent. I left the cookie there. All in all it is not a bad value for $ 12.95. It’s just not worth the parking situation and the bland soup. If I went again I wouldn’t order the soup and I’m not sure the sandwich was good enough to order a whole one. I want to give them 3 stars but I can’t seem to do it because«I’ve experienced better» just fits this place for me more than«A-OK».

A neat little place for lunch. I ordered the veggie sandwich which was very good, although I think next time I’ll go for the soup & ½ sandwich combo. Soups looked really good. Reasonably priced and extremely crowded. On some days you just want to be waited on. It was one of those days when I visited. And this is not a get waited on place. Going at height of lunchtime was crowded, although the food was served reasonably quickly. Next time I’ll opt for an early or late lunch and miss the«lunch hour rush.»

This is a 5 star rating for their soup and salads… If you’re looking for a sandwich, I would go elsewhere. They do however have the best salad and soups in town! Their steak salad is my utmost favorite. In the summer it’s served with fresh strawberries and in the fall, dried cranberries. The lettuce is always fresh and crisp, I have went so many other places and been disappointed by the wilting lettuce. They also give a GOOD serving of NY steak. There is never a bite of fat, it’s disgusting when you go into places and you are having to pick pieces of grizzle out of your mouth while trying to enjoy your salad. As far as soups go, their Shrimp Bisque and Tortilla Soup are beyond amazing. The Shrimp Bisque is so good my 10 month old begs me for some and ends up drinking at least ¼th of the bowl. Very good food!

Phenomenal flavor! Best soup place around! Much better than Panera Bread.

Hands down, best soup in Reno. I would give 5 stars if I enjoyed their sandwiches more but they felt like they were lacking depth. I will give credit to the salads though. Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly, the old location got cramped pretty fast, I’ve heard the newer location is better. I’ve made many a trips to Süp for a great bowl of broccoli cheddar.

This soup and sandwich shop is popular with the locals. Unfortunately, I didn’t really care for my choice of soup and sandwich as much as my dining partner. A little cookie on the plate is a nice touch. It’s in the new midtown district off Virginia Street in what appears to be a converted house.

My second time visiting Süp and my second great experience there. It didn’t take long for my combo of Chicken Curry Soup paired with a ½ Turkey Pesto Sandwich(yes real meat cut off the bird) to arrive at our table even though the place was very busy. My combo also came with a drink and a small green salad with cranberries(and I believe feta cheese) dressed with a delicious white balsamic vinaigrette. Definitely enough food. What else can I say, the soup was delicious and hot, the sandwich was constructed perfectly(their bread choice was good, soft and complimented the rest of the condiments on the sandwich) and the salad was cold and refreshing. You even get a little soft oatmeal chocolate chip cookie to top it off. Great experience and I can’t wait to return.

When I got to Reno, my bestie said there was this soup place that was better than panera bread. She was totally right. FOOD5⁄5: Their bread bowls are HUGE! The bread is warm and the soup is delish. Unlike other soup places, you can taste the freshness of each ingredient. I recommend the tomato bisque and broccoli cheddar. The prices are very affordable. SERVICE4⁄5: Paying at the register was quick but expect to wait a little on your food since it can get ridiculously busy and loud in there. I can’t wait until I visit Reno again to try their sandwiches and salads.

Mmm soup. Just thinking about it makes me feel a warm comfort. I was recently under the weather and really in need of mom’s homemade soup. With my parents in Vegas, I made my way over to Sup after hearing great things, and it is! It really hit the spot! The sandwiches, soup, and pita are all so solid. My personal favorite soup is the chicken tortilla soup. The sandwiches are also massive and so filling. If you go with a friend, I recommend sharing a bowl and sandwich!

I’m going to be the odd woman out! I didn’t get the five star experience as others. My experience was more like three and a half stars. We came here for lunch on a Saturday. The place was packed and very busy! You order at the counter and find a seat. FOOD: Grilled cheese combo with a cup of vegetarian tomato bisque. The combo comes with a small salad as well. The grilled cheese on garlic sourdough was okay. Nothing special. The tomato bisque, not as smooth or creamy as we would’ve liked. BLAT-Bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato on toasted garlic sourdough. We really liked this sammie, our only disclaimer is that the sourdough was toasted so hard, that it literally scrapes the roof of your mouth. I ate only one half of the BLAT because the roof of my mouth was getting raw. The chicken tortilla soup was more like a chili and we didn’t really care for the seasonings. Both of our combos came with a small side salad-mixed greens with dried cranberries and feta with a white balsamic dressing. The salad was delicious! They also include this cute, fresh from the oven oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. Both hubby and I didn’t finish our soups. If we do come back, we will probably try a sandwich that isn’t grilled/toasted or ask that the bread isn’t, and maybe try some of the other soups available. At three and a half stars, it’s worth coming back to try some of the other choices available! Next time, it’s the broccoli cheddar or clam chowder, I wanna taste!

I’ve been in twice now. Once for a beer and the last time for a sandwich to go. The only reason I didn’t give a five is because of the wait time. We saw people who ordered after us getting their food while we salivated onto our table. We split a veggie sandwich. It was a really good sandwich! The combination of ingredients was on. The menu itself is easy to order from and offers a variety for soup and sandwich options. I’d like to come back and dine in next time. The staff were nice and the establishment is in a nice location. There is outdoor and indoor seating. They do some of their own homemade lemonades like fig, strawberry, and others. I’ve only had the one sandwich which came with a salad and a small cookie. I’m not going to try their soup next time for sure. I think this is a place worth checking out. When you dine in you get a street name for your table so they can bring it out!

Really really good food. Quite a few different daily soups and a nice selection of sandwiches. Nice atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely recommend. Twice now I’ve come in and had the steak salad. It’s absolutely amazing. The dressing it comes with is a white balsamic and it’s quite strong. Today I tried the ranch instead and it was really good.

Love the location of sup. Menu is a great lunch addition to your list when stopping in Reno. The tomato soup is selfish and the salads that accompany the soup and sandwich combo is tasteful. Great to stop by during a cool weather. Only negative is that I can’t take a bag of cookies with me!

Very chill décor and seating area, seems like it’s run by a younger crowd who are all very friendly and quick to help. You walk up and order, then they will bring your food to you. Had a group of seven and we were all overly satisfied with everything we ordered! The hummus plate was great, all the sandwiches were amazing and all the soups were the perfect temp. I especially loved the tuna melt and cajun egg salad sandwiches, so tasty! Also very appreciative of the little cookies that come with your meal; super soft and delicious! I even ended up buying one of their shirts, haha. Definitely one for the books!

I feel bad to give this place only two stars because it seems like a lot of people like this place, but I really didn’t think it warranted more than two stars since I’ve definitely experienced better. FOOD: I ordered the broccoli cheddar soup based on reviews and tips that it’s great. Like one review also mentioned, it wasn’t that great and the taste seemed off. The half turkey pesto sandwich I got was dry and couldn’t taste any pesto in it. My fiancé ordered the steak sandwich and had asked for wheat bread because the hard roll it normally comes with is too hard for his teeth. Lo and behold, they bring it out with the hard roll. The server brought it out with the disclaimer that they forgot about putting it on the wheat bread, and they can re-make it, but it will take more time. We had been waiting much longer than expected for just soup and salad and were starving at this pointe so he opted just to take it. Bread indeed was too hard for him so he couldn’t even eat the bread and ended up picking out the meat, which wasn’t that tender or good anyway. Small cookies that come with it weren’t anything special. Kind of hard. CUSTOMERSERVICE: The girl who took our order seemed nice. The server who brought the food at least apologized for the mistake in the bread, but I feel like they should’ve just re-made it so they brought out the correct order instead of bringing it out wrong. Or maybe at least bring out the wheat bread on a side dish so my fiancé could move the meat himself onto the softer bread. INSIDE: Inside feels like a small house restaurant like one I’d eat at in Berkeley. We sat by the front door, which didn’t shut all the way unless you closed it all the way. It was cold so it sucked when people coming in and out didn’t close the door all the way. I liked how they put the to go containers where people can grab them as needed instead of having to ask the staff. Neat they give you street signs instead of numbers to bring your order to the table. OVERALL: Unfortunately I will not be coming back. We thought this place would have gumbo and more options, but they didn’t. I don’t know if they sold out of gumbo or just don’t sell that anymore. Also sad they didn’t have a pastrami sandwich, which is pretty standard for most sandwich joints.

Where do I even begin?!? Sup is such an amazing place! Service is always fast, friendly, and efficient! So far I’ve tried the Chicken pesto, broccoli cheese soup, tortilla soup, tomato bisque, grilled cheese, stead salad, and the shrimp Louie. ALL were to die for! Their salad dressings are AMAZING! Plus you get a little soup cookie with your meal. Everything is made fresh daily, and everything tastes great! I love the patio outside(when it’s nice outside). I’ve gotten food to go too, and it’s smart to call ahead, this place is so awesome it gets BUSY around lunch and dinner time! If you haven’t gotten a chance to try it,… You def. should!

I am not afraid to drop a five spot when it comes to a great lunch. And this was a great lunch. I had the egg salad sandy and a cup of the Crawfish gumbo. One word… DUUUUUDE!!! It was absolutely delish! My co-hort had a half pesto chicken sandy and a cup of the chicken enchilada soup. Her words… fan-flippin-tastic! Her soup looked like and could pass for a chili. It was great! Both plates included a nice side salad of mixed greens and a light vinagerette. It was very, very good and the portion was plenty big enough that neither of us finished. All this for $ 22. Loved it. No parking(it’s midtown — walk), the staff is super friendly and the line moves fairly quick. I’ll meet you there sometime as there are plenty of other dishes I want to try!
